I saw some articles on "Dust under camera lens of Redmi Note 9 PRO" , did you people also face it ?
I also got it recently. Still within return period. If someone could provide update on this, it will be helpful.

It's already active by default. You don't need to do anything manually to make gcam work. Gcams work flawlessly without needing to do anything.
Just got dust particles inside camera on my new poco m2 pro

Hope you guys get a back case after purchase of phone as soon as possible.

I have the same issue with my unit. Its been a month and I can already see some dust particles in front of the main lens but its minimal and doesn't at all affect the images (because the dust accumulated isnt exactly above the main lens). I have temporarily sealed the sides of the camera bulge with thick sticky paper sheets jso that the dust wont enter inside the glass.
ps:I visited the ASC today and they told me that you gotta leave your phone for 15 days in the sc so that they could order the tools required to fix that issue. So, I just took back my phone and came back home. lol.

Do we have any back cover online to avoid this issue?
Because most of the back cover usually leave the camera area open.

Yes there are back covers which cover the entire camera lens module and only leave the hole for light for sensors.
try to search for functional back covers and you may find it
hit thanks if u like it

Hello
Yesterday, Ive updated my Note 2 via Kies, It was just a kernel update. It failed first time then kies gave a warning about kies didnt recognized your phone please remove cable battery and start again continou. I did so and updated it from start it did this time.
Today I figured out I have black spot on my main camera.
When I swap to video mode spot moves to right due to resoultion change.
I still have warranty.
But if this is a minor software problem I dont want to wait like 2 weeks.
Thank you.
Do the spots turn up in pictures or video or are they on your screen only? Can you upload an example?
they are just on photos or records, screen is fine. front camera works good.

That's dust my friend. See if you can either clean the lens or if its on the inside of the lens, use a blower. This problem is VERY common in SLR cameras too.
Good luck !

Black spot in Galaxy Note 2 main camera
Hello All,
I have Samsung Galaxy Note 2 handset. Today I also figured out I have black spot on my main camera. My handset is in warranty. But can you please suggest me what to do ?
The phone is new. I purchased on Feb 14, 2013. I already cleaned lens dust. But still i m facing this problem.
Please help me on this issue.
Thanks.
I ordered my Nexus 5X from bhphotovideo, shipping to Mexico. Sadly, I got a defective camera and bhphotovideo doesn't want to comply with customs here in Mexico so if I exchange my item I'll have to pay import taxes again (about 147 usd(even with this the phone was cheaper than buying it here in Mexico)).
I think the best option for me would be to replace the camera (it looks really easy) but I haven't been able to find a replacement camera module at a decent price.
Do you guys know a page where I could buy this? Or does someone knows when they might become available?
contact Google for a replacement/repair. they are usually better at customer service than LG. Ultimately call LG for a repair quote. It shouldn't be much.

I think I'll try LG since they have offices here in Mexico, let's hope they help even though it was bought in the us
mate that looks more like dust between the lens and the back cover... i've seen this happen in a dslr where dust goes between the lens and the image sensor
if LG fails to repair your device (i say they will fix it) then you can always open it to clear the dust out.

Will removing the back cover void the warranty?
Well I tried opening an though I couldn't remove the black spot it moved to another place... so I'm guessing it some dust really really stuck to the inner lens?
Any ideas of what I can use to clean it?

they sell cans that contain compressed air.. specially used for electronics.. you could try that if there's any opening around the lens.. but i doubt there will be any opening. to prevent dust going in, in the first place.
http://gokimco.com/blog/using-compressed-air-dusters-to-clean-electronic-circuit-boards
here's what it looks like
the first thing i'd do is try to figure out where the dust is sitting. most likely its just between the lens and the back cover lens which would make it really easy to fix
Today while sleeping I dropped my pillow on the charger of the nexus... and it fell to the floor
When I used the camera again the spot was gone and the camera is now working correctly D:
I got lucky I guess <3
My op3 camera suddenly failed to focus. It was running good for 3 months before. It has no drop or any physical damage. The phone is in very good condition. I tried to reset the ROM, use other camera apps, but the same.
Now file a RMA ticket, but no one pick it up.
How many of you encountered the same camera issue, when it was and how to u fix the problem

I'm having the same problem, really annoying. But however sometimes it works, not perfect though (flickering and kind of refocussing all the time).

So it's me back again, have just tested this method seen in the video.
And against my expectations it actually worked!
It's pretty simple and can save you a few op3-less weeks due to sending it back.
But you should / must have those tools like that screwdriver.
+1
The camera focus on my 1+3 was steadily getting worse. So bad that I could not take any images at all without them being blurred.
RMA for a repair from 1+ website, Tuesday, picked up Wednesday, with them on Thursday. Going through the checks ATM. Nice fast turn around. Hoping it gets repaired next week and I get it back Friday. Doubt it though,as some of the time scales I have been reading online state 3-4 weeks.

But why not send it back. You have just voided the warranty and can no longer send back to base under warranty for a repair. So saving a week or two is actually a bad thing to do if you get another issue.

Sup,
Thanks for the video - I'm having absolutely the same issue (screen tearing, glitching (like in your video)), but for the most annoying part - time to time unable to focus. It feels like you need to hit a phone with a finger so "stuck" camera could start focusing on something.
So from my understanding - OnePlus 3 smartphone has a camera module with hardware stabilization (not software)? If so, it got broken and is not working (as you mentioned - steadily getting worser and worser). I believe there 2 possible fixes:
1. Get a camera module replacement from ebay or any other online shop and fix it yourself:
Proper solution to fix a broken part.
Smartphone will work as it used to be
It costs money and forces you to wait for camera module to arrive.
2. Apply a fix demonstrated in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kCBMKWImCzA
Looks like hardware stabilization wouldn't work anymore (really).
It faster, dirtier and cheaper solution rather than changing camera module.
It's free
So what happens under the hood all I see is that you apply a piece of iron metal (do not be confused, not a piece of paper) near the camera module (the type of metal which is being pulled by magnet). Camera inside the camera module will be pullet by metal (magnetic power) and it will be steady + somehow focus starts to work.
Also, for your reference, I just took a picture after applying this fix to my smartphone - can you see where I got that piece of metal from? Yeah - from the freaking pen spring by cutting part of it using pliers!

I've ordered camera module from ebay and replaced by myself. I confirm it's hardware related. And that camera module doesn't cost much by the way! Optical stabilisation is back!
Tried placing two staples in that gap and taped them in. Camera focuses correctly now, but it has a shake causing blur. Buying a new camera and toolkit off amazon for $13, will report back when installed.
My camera is now taking blurry photos. Will have to order a new camera module once back from holiday. Not happy that most of my photos on holiday are blurred.

I replaced the camera after waiting 20 days to receive it from China. All went well with removal and installation, but alas still no focus when I booted the phone up. I read on this thread a comment from Erika snorkeling from June 18th (I believe) about taking the coil off the spring from a pen. I installed it, taped in place........and VOILA!!! It worked like a charm. Close up focus and pictures taken outdoors were perfect - even when blown up the detail was back. Just thought I'd comment on such a fantastic, but simple, fix. Kudos.:good:

Same happened to me on my OnePlus One, I figured it was from a really tight case that I had on it, taking it on and off, starting from the same corner. Mine was glass separating from digitizer..... It never effected the touch/screen function, but was terribly annoying.
I eventually replaced the screen and digitizer all in one piece. ( After a drop and screen smash)
Wonder if the 5t is built on same "layers" as the one.
Bummer.

I put the phone on ebay and the bidding will end today.
IT's around 180$ for a screen replacement.
Not worth it.
I searched through 15 pages of topics, didn't find anything on this....But seems to be an issue when you Google it?
My s20 has been getting fuzzier and fuzzier with pics... I even get the dirty lens warning from time to time....Then today, I notices dark "blobs" on my pics of the snow.... Upon further examination, my lenses are really dirty under the back glass?!
I tried blowing air in the mic hole, but nothing changed.
Is there an easy fix for this? I'm taking it to UbreakIfix tomorrow to see what they can do, but figured I'd check here for an easier, non-evasive (cheaper) solution?

I know its been over a year but did find a fix for this I have the same issue on my s20 ultra on the telephoto camera
I took it to UbreakIfix, they ran the SN and it had 3 months left on the warranty, so that covered the fix.
The fix was to actually replace the entire back of the phone (which has the camera window in it).
I still have my S20, keep it as a back up to my new phone.... I pull it out to test apps I'm not sure I want to put on my new phone. It still holds it's own almost 3 years later!
