I bought my red magic 5g 3 days ago and since i purchased i cant use because i have the following problems:
1st: while i made a phone call when Volte or HD calls are active, the mobile for the other party just ring for 9 second then disconnect and if the other party answers me he cannot hear my voice while I am hearing him clearly and also the call disconnect.

3rd: the only way to made a phone call is by deactivating volte/hd and sure also deactivating 5G, because if any of them exist i cant make any phone call.

Use the sim in SIM2 slot. I had the same call problems when the sim was placed in the SIM1 slot and I was able to fix it by switching to sim2 slot.

SIM2 Not Working

Hi all,
Just got my Zenfone 2 yesterday and was super stoked, however the SIM2 component is not working. I have two SIM cards, one with Telus and one with Virgin Mobile. (Canadian carriers). No matter which order I put them in, the SIM2 card never works. The Zenfone 2 is able to identify the phone number associated with the SIM card in the SIM2 slot, but it is unable to actually make a network connection.
Anyone know how to get SIM2 working?
just update to the latest rom... I did and got my Sim1 working again!!

SIM2 is 2g only. So it needs to be Rogers (or network that uses Rogers) to work
Sent from my ASUS_Z00AD using XDA Free mobile app
Only SIM card slot 1 can access 3G/4G/LTE data. SIM card slot 2 can only be used for 2G service which include voice and basic text messaging (Not multimedia messaging services MMS or internet browsing). http://www.asus.com/us/Phones/ZenFone_2_ZE551ML/HelpDesk_knowledge/

I know this is an old thread but i was wondering if anyone has found a solution to this issue? I am having the same issue trying to get Sim2 to recognize a network. The number on the Sim card is recognized. I have tried switching the cards around and the result is always the same. Both providers that I am with are in Canada. One sim is with Bell and the second is with Virgin Mobile.
Are you saying you can't even make calls on sim2?

Using Dual SIM On XT1676

Ok, and advice appreciated.
Have just put a SIM in the second slot in my G5. Am running a Vaya SIM (voice, data, sms) in the actual primary slot and a Telstra (voice only) in the second slot.
If i select the Vaya as primary SIM for all three (voice, data sms) in settings it works fine.
But using an app (Dual SIM Selector) to select what SIM on a call by call basis, it wont send or receive calls on the Telstra SIM and tells me mobile network unavailable for voice calls.
If i go to settings, and set the Telstra SIM as primary for voice, data and sms (needs to be set for all 3 regardless no data plan on that SIM) then i can make and receive calls from the Telstra SIM no probs.
So both SIMS are active, and both SIM slots work with a 3 or 4G card. Have swapped SIM cards in the slots and all as above. SIM cards are good and slots both work.
What i was hoping for with a dual SIM phone was for the Vaya SIM to be active for making / receiving calls, SMS and data as normal, but for the Telstra SIM to be "listening" , be able to receive calls , and make calls when selected on a call by call basis.
Now,being in Australia and having had the 2G network shut down late last year (3 and 4G only now) i am wondering if that has something to do with this??
Anyhow, wondering if there is anyone out there who knowing more about this dual sim thing than i has any ideas??
Hmmm........did some checking and think my problem with the dual sim thing is due to the 2G network on telstra and optus being shut down.
Seems under the software on the G5, whichever SIM card that is NOT set to handle mobile data, tries to default to 2G as preferred network (under Settings / More / Mobile networks) and the "Preferred network type" button is greyed out and inactive.
Of course no 2G network when you try and make a call it tells you no network available. Sadness.
So, unless Motorola come up with a fix, or deal with this in their next update for Australian phones, i think i'm stuck on switching between SIMS, and NOT having the second SIM able to listen out and receive calls, which even if both SIMs share a radio seems a no-brainer capability to have to me. Have sent a begging email to Motorola asking if they have a fix / workaround and would they consider thinking about this for next update? Pretty much all i can do, although if there are other Australian users with similar issue wouldn't hurt for them to contact Motorola support as well??
Anyone know how to set up a "shortcut" direct to the SIM config page in settings?? App or widget for that??
Am hearing on the G5 Whirlpool thread that there is an update / fix in the works and maybe on the way from Motorola to deal with the dual sim issue (defaulting to 2G) on the Australian G5.
Got the below from Motorola support today. So, fix is on the way.
Good day!

Dual Sim issue

Hi
I have an issue with my dual sim S9. Sim one is on Three UK and sim two is Vodafone UK. " Dual sim always on " is enabled but when I'm connected on a call the other sim card will not accept incoming calls. The sim I'm connected to for the call will show via call waiting if another incoming call is waiting but only for that sim card. It effectively means that the other sim is offline until I end my call. Being my first dual sim phone I thought I'd be able to be notified about incoming calls on both sim cards at the same time (if I'm on sim1 and a call comes in on sim2 for example)?
The other issue I have is that the Three sim is personal and the Vodafone sim is work. When dual sim is enabled it automatically forwards calls from sim1 to sims2 and vice versa when the phone is unreachable. This means personal contacts end up leaving messages on my work voicemail and work customers end up getting through to my personal sim. (I'm also assuming my network will be charging me to forward calls to the other network)
If this is how it works then I'll have to go back to two phones as I can't mix personal and work calls like that.
Thanks.
Me also i go this problem.. This is a very FAKE DUal SIM ! it does not receive all on both sim at the same time. Huawei p20 pro receive call at the same time

Question Switch mobile data to Active SIM (that is used during call)

Before OnePlus 9 Pro I used to have Huawei P30 Pro that automatically switched Mobile Data to SIM card that was used during a call. It gave me an ability to use internet regardless of SIM used for call (important scenario when driving, for instance). It's noteworthy that none of my 2 carriers support VoLTE / VoWiFi. Now for OP9 Pro this mission became impossible and it feels like a downgrade compared to 3-4 yr old phones.
Is there any solution for this? Maybe custom ROM, hack, whatever...
So at the moment you have Sim1 with data and Sim2 without data?
In settings you can set your preferred Simcard for calls, messages and Data.
Does setting Sim1 as preferred Simcard for data not work?

My both SIM can be used for Mobile Data if I select explicitly, and regardless of preferred card (1 or 2) for data, I can't get data working in case I call from the card that was not selected as a preferred one.
The switch in SIM settings that says there must be VoLTE active on second card in order to make data working during a call from first one does not help. Simply because there is no VoLTE available from carrier.
For instance - I have preferred card SIM1 and I call from SIM2 (and need phone to switch to using data from SIM2 during a call), in this case during a phone call I have no data available at all. Very inconvenient in a car (navigation) or just if you have to check some info from internet during a call. Previous phone allowed to use such feature without VoLTE (same cards, same carriers), OP9 Pro doesn't. I wonder if it's a software limitation or hardware.
I am looking forward to change OP9 to Mi 11 Ultra now due to this... ((
My model is LE2120
VoLTE is unchecked in settings?
Otherwise, no idea dude...
Maybe check in Oneplus forums?
Hi I'm in almost the same situation like you.
The only way that i thought it can be done on the op is using tasker.
If you know how to use tasker and manage to do it, please let me know
Tasker will wait for and event like receiving a call, identify which sim the call in coming on, switch active data to the same sim the call comes in on, and viola
I've opted for the most radical way - switched to Samsung S21 Ultra. It was hard to tolerate such caveats like absence of mobile data auto switching, mid-end camera & fast-dying battery in flagship phone...

Question Dual Sim Stand By

Hello guys!
Recently I adquire a Rog phone 6.
And I have a question regarding the use of mobile data while incoming calls.
According to the specs, this model have dual sim stand by. Basically, I run sim 1 for calls and sim 2 for data, when an incoming call is entering into Sim 1, the data turns off.
I used to have a galaxy, and when this happens automatically switches to data Sim 1 for not loosing internet connection while on the call.
Sorry to bother you, and if it's a silly question!
But I'm new in this world!
There are 4 types of dual sim, DSDA, DSDS, DSDV and DSDA.
ROG is DSDS and your galaxy is DSDA.
DSDA is only option for data connection on sim2 while calling on sim1.
