Good day everyone, first of all I apologize for my grammar and English since I am not that good speaking or writting in English and Im trying my best to explain clearly and thoroughly the issue
So I have bought a realme 6 pro and it s two weeks old. And I m having a problem with my network/connectivity(MOBILE DATA to be specific) since I bought this smartphone. Before you guys say it s about my telecom , I ve already did some test before I wrote this thread.
I play alot of online games and it s very frustrating.
PROBLEM:
My ping is spiking when there are enemies around(rushing me or I rush them) from 55ms - 700ms and it lasts depend if there s enemies.
At first, I thought it was because of my old sim( maybe new phone not compatible with old sim ) so I bought a new one, same telecom. But the issue in network still exist. My signal is good, Im getting 3-4 bars for the whole day. So I decided to test something.
What I have noticed when I am using a WIFI. That when I first open the PUBG M or CODM when I am in home screen of that specific game , I can see that my real-time network speed is increasing like 100-300kb/s. And if play my ping would be high for some time. But after few minutes my ping will be 50ms stable and when I checked my real-time network speed it becomes 10kb/s. So I thought there is a background-downloading-game- related-stuffs happening when you I open the game.
But when I use mobile data and open the game my real time network speed is stable to 30-50kb/s only and after that it will be stable in 8-10kb/s, there is no background-downloading-game- related-stuffs happening so when I start my game and there are enemies around or drop off the plane my ping spikes from 50-600or900ms. So I thought since there is no background-downloading-game- related-stuffs happening while im using data maybe thats the reason behind this issue?

PS. Im using gamespace

The other day me and two of my friends were conducting a lil experiment to see which phone had the best wifi download speed using the speedtest.net app, one has the iphone 5 and the other a year old sony xperia phone. We all connected on the same router and when conducting the test they ended up having speeds of 32mbps!! While my phone only managed a measly 15mbps..feeling slighly embarrassed after bragging to them about how my phone is so much better then theirs we did the test again just to make sure it wasnt a fluke thing but nope we got the same results. My question is..is something wrong with my wifi..i mean ive never had a situation where its disconnected but ive noticed that the wifi icon does fluctuate from having full bars to no bars quite alot even if im right next to the router but i havent noticed the performance drop..im just baffled as to how such a amazing phone got beaten by the iphone and a phone thats older then mine with download speeds.

It looks like you have the dreaded Wifi problem. The fluctuation sounds all too familiar to me. Read the topic about this problem in the General section.
Don't worry man.
Forget the wifi issues cause by hardware, it is very rarely and is is very unlucky cases (other comes from user's mind)
For your matter, I have to face the same situation and in my case, I found that the issues comes from channel of the router. Normally, wifi router has many channel could be set with different frequency:
1- 2412 GHz
2- 2417
3- 2422
4- 2427
....
11- 2462
12 - 2467
13 - 2472
14 - 2477 GHz
The HOX work best in Wifi mode G / Channel 14 as I could easily got 54Mb/s. You could try again with other setup of router. Install wifi analyzer app from market and it could help you to find best channel for your HOX.
(remember to update your phone with latest ship rom).
Hi, i am using the note 2 n7105 and have an unlimited internet contract with 3. I tether to my laptop and browsing is generally fine (even though i may be recieving throttling) but i enjoy playing League of Legends. The slow speed is still playable for LoL but the ping is the problem. I start the match with decent ping (100 - 150ms) but shortly after it will jump so high that it becomes unplayable (8000ms) and i get disconnected often. I believe this may be down to background apps either from my laptop or my phone and cant find any good programs to identify specific network usage. If anyone can help me it will be greatly appreciated. Otherwise i will have to wait until 4g rolls out in about a month.
Thanks
I believe im having some software/driver errors (using NJ5 Retail) I don't think these are hardware errors as we both got our phones as different places and different times and it would be strange to have the same issues. I believe its a Note 4 problem.
1. Both my wifes and my Note 4 phone's seem to be having WiFi dropouts (not at the same time) ... its not a issue with any of our other WiFi devices and my daughters S5. I did wonder if it was our router (Netgear R6300v2) but its rock solid. So I tested it at local wifi and ran some heavy data and surely enough intermittently it "locks" up. So far haven't seen any issues with 4G LTE, but then again we tend to avoid heavy data usage on that.
2. Also on both of our phones Intermittently the camera will lag really bad as well, its as if im running a million apps and have no memory. Yet I have over almost 900MB of free ram and 20gigs of free space. I also have confirmed I have no apps running and so far the only fix is to reboot the phone which is a rather inconvenience when im looking to get a picture at the time it happens.
I haven't yet tried another camera app to see if the same thing happens. Which I do enjoy Google's camera app and had that on my old Note II, however again I am wondering as to why this is taking place.
A few other things noted the phone this has happened while the phone is unplugged, heat doesn't seem to be a issue atleast for the battery which sits around 30c for wife's and 26c for my mine most of the time (according to cpuz)
So is this something to wait on Lollipop for to maybe be fixed or is this possibly a real hardware issue.
We used to get dropouts too, I recently switched my router to Wireless N only and now all phones and devices get a steady 90 Mbps up and down in our house on a Verizon FIOS 75/75 plan. I've always had dropouts on phones and am surprised that Wireless N made such a difference. Still using the same 2.4ghz frequency that we did on the G network, just zero interference to cause dropouts now.
Update after more issues .. I took it back to the store and we fiddled (the store had a tech who was geeky and it was great) and sure enough we discovered how to duplicate the problem. Also after testing a few other phones it seemed to only happen with ours .. so we wondered if it had to do with our failure of Sandisk cards but who knows (which we are doing a RMA on them).
What happens is under CPU-Z (play store) we noticed even under heavy use only 1-2 cores were being used. It would never use all 4. So we tried gaming and running hard games and background things and sure enough stuff would lag real bad which then would lock up the internet and camera. Then we tried Antutu and it locked up, and score was terrible. It was then we decided the phones had bad cores in it. So Wife exchanged her's and I refunded mine and ordered a developer one .. as ive been waiting over a month for and should have stayed waiting. As for what started it all. We had a batch of the Sandisk Ultras that kept failing however I dont see how that could have been the cause. The sandisk error I guess is very common as soon as I mentioned it they knew all about it and their forums are flooded with posts about it.
So if anyone has these issues test your cores.

This is interesting o: How would one go about doing this? *-*
My Pixel C is due to be delivered in the next couple of hours and I have a few questions for you seasoned owners:
Is it worth unlocking the bootloader given the 30 second delay and any problems this might cause getting Nougat?
Just how bad is wifi for you now? (This could be a major issue for me as I use my Nexus 10 in my garden at the absolute limit of coverage.)
And does the latest (final) developer preview make for a decent daily driver?
Thanks in advance.

DP5 is very stable and worth the change. I have not unlocked my bootloader due to the delay.
The WiFi is bad. Really bad in my opinion
The bootloader delay is annoying if you restart your tablet a lot, but why should you do? So if you are not shutting down your device at night or every time you dont need it, it should be fine.
The 30-second delay is trivial (to me.) I think it's an odd and intrusive choice, but it's never been a big deal.
I've never had any trouble with the wifi, although it sounds like the mileage varies. I don't usually care how many bars there are as long as it's not dropping off.
So far, I'm very impressed. I've tested the WiFi and, although the speed drops off, the range is really good, probably better than my Nexus 10.
I'm not going to unlock the bootloader, so far I see no reason to.
Nougat is great, zero issues.
2 apps won't work and one screams on loading, but that's about par when moving between devices.
It looks and feels like a really premium device, in real terms it costs the same as my Nexus 10 did at the time but this comes with a keyboard!
I just got my replacement and the latest build of Nougat is awesome, I've been using it as my DD without issue. I can't attest to the wifi because my apartment is small and my neighborhood is crowded.
My main problem is transferring files and getting ADB to recognise the device - I've had both working and now neither is, which is really puzzling and frustrating!
WiFi is bad on mine, on the latest N preview. It picks up my WiFi, but the speed drops from 36mb to anywhere between 2 and 10
This is with the router in the next room

The wifi has been driving me crazy, frequent drop outs, massive speed drops over distance - I'm returning it; which is really frustrating as everything else about it feels so premium, but to release a device they know is so badly flawed and still charge so much for it?!

If you're using Windows, check device manager and make sure the drivers are installed.
if you're thrilled about the device (like i do) file an RMA with google and they'll send you a refurb but updated Pixel C (serial# should start with 620xxx). I assumed that those with horrific wifi or screen problem probably has one with a serial number beginning with 5A or 5B. Check this thread to see if the one you have is cursed: http://forum.xda-developers.com/pixel-c/general/mapping-problems-to-serial-t3274660
Got my replacement yesterday and so far wifi has significantly improved. When im in the backyard, i noticed that wifi would disconnect about every 10-15min but with the new serial#620, wifi strength is about the same but I have not experience any disconnect around the same place. Hopefully the screen issue hold up on this one as well...
As for bootloader, I have a rooted phone with unlocked bootloader as my main so I'd keep the Pixel C completely stock. I havent found a need to do anything to it yet.
I've had my pixel c since it was released. Don't have any issue with it on wifi... this includes using it throughout a 2500 sqft house that is old construction (lots of natural signal blockers) and in back or front yard. It works about as well as an iPad does in the same environment, perhaps a little slower max speed at the more distant range, but no drop-outs and fast enough to handle HD streaming at the same distances.
For an android tablet I'd still consider it the best that is out there, although the nvidia shield is a cheaper option.
My serial number is 5A22000040. I bought mine in May and have not experienced any of the problems I read here. No screen tints or light leaks. My WiFi has never been an issue. I have run SpeedTest several times and the Pixel does the same as other WiFi devices I have.
I do get a screen blink out every now and again (more than a flicker) but I only seem to notice it when playing Spider Solitaire so I think it is application dependent. Otherwise, this tablet is smoking.
And for a bonus, I through my tablet into my Harley saddlebag (inside a Glock hand bag) and have ridden for days, using the tablet for nightly movie entertainment. I would say I stress it pretty well.
Sent from my Pixel C using XDA-Developers mobile app
I sent mine back as the wifi issues made it too annoying to use, the money was refunded as soon as UPS collected the packages - suggesting Google knew my machine was a dodgy one?
Hey!
So I've recently bought an S20 from T-Mobile. It's a Hungarian model (980F). I'm facing some weird behavior here.
The issue:
In every game I play, from simple 2D connect-three and idle games, to intense things like Asphalt 9, what happens is that for a random amount of time (i've seen everything from 1 second to 10 minutes) the framerate just tanks. And I'm not talking about the Exynos performance fiasco here. This happens regardless of how long I use the phone or how hot it gets.
Some concrete examples:
- So, the cold phone can achieve a relatively stable 60 fps in Asphalt 9. After prolonged gaming, when the phone reaches a temp equilibrium, framerates settle at around 45 fps. That's fine for me, not the topic of this thread. But, sometimes I play for hours, and I keep this steady 45-ish framerate, other times I just pick up the phone, completely cold, and the second I start up the game, even the menu lags, at precisely 20 fps (I measure this with PerfZ). After some time passes, everything is back to normal, 60 fps. Then, again, randomly 20, then back to 60 again.
- I play Adventure Communist a lot (a simple idle button clicker game, nothing graphically intensive) and well as you can imagine, it's fine at 60. But sometimes this game also drops to exactly 20 fps for some random time, then back to normal.
- Subway Surfers runs at 120 stable. This game does not drop to 20, it drops to more like 40ish something (I have not measured an exact number here, just going by feeling).
- As I've said, this all happens regardless of heat. What I've also found is that GPU usage drops down significantly when this happens, as if something artificially limited the game for the time being (like something put an FPS cap on it).
- Interestingly, some games are unaffacted: PUBG Mobile, for example, heats the phone up like hell. After a good 30-40 minutes the framerate drops to well below the cap, but I've never had the issue during any session. The phone just throttles normally, but that's it. Games originally limited to 30 fps also don't experience this (or at least I haven't noticed). Forza Street also stresses the hardware pretty well, that game also drops from 60 to 50 something fps, but never had this weird back and forth switch between 20 and 60 fps. Strange.
What I've tried:
- Changing brightness
- Changing volume
- Through game booster, changing the preferred performance levels
- Downloading game booster plus and messing with it
- Turning on high performance mode in device care
- Disabling adaptive battery, turning off battery optimizations
- Disabling everything network related
- Factory resetting
- I went to a Samsung store, told the technician everything, showed him a vid, he said they've never seen anything like this, if I wanted I could leave the phone there for a software checkup... well... I didn't
- there might have been more things i've tried i cant remember right now, i've tried a lot of things, believe me...
Online research results:
So obviously, where do people go with these problems, of course, Reddit. Now, I haven't found anything about this when I tried searching for gaming related issues, but I've found a thread where a dude complains about his Ultra scrolling at lowered framerates sometimes (which by the way also happens to me, I just chose to ignore it for some reason). In this thread, I've found another dude, who posted a video he made about games, with the exact same issue that I have! So at least 1 other guy has this in the world... And basically this is it. Haven't been able to find anything useful besides this, every other post is just about the Exynos chip being inferior and things like that. I have some videos of it, but my account is fresh so I can't post any links. Just google "S20 Ultra scroll stutter", and the first Reddit post with the same name is what I'm talking about. It's a short thread. You'll find the comment.
I'm pretty sure this is unrelated to the whole "Exynos is trash" topic, as it doesn't depend on temperatures. Also, the fact that this happens in a lot of games, but not in others leads me to believe there might be some system level/software issue here. Also, GPU usage drops when it happens (as I said, like something capped it), this suggests to me the same, some software-level limitation.
Has any of you heard of or encountered this before? Do you have any other ideas what might cause this, and how to fix it?
Thanks for your help.

Yes, everything is up to date.
Samsung ****ed every exynos user. It's simple as that. Also, no fix, EVER. If you can return it DO IT. No one is going to do anything about it. Everyday I see people starting threads on xda or reddit complaining but nothing is happening. We in Europe have laws that protect us against this kind of ****ery but again no one is ready to fight Samsung. If this continues 80% of forums post will end up like this one.

My issue is not related to temperature and most of the problems that come with the Exynos chip are due to it running hotter and throttling. I don't think this is it.
I have the exact same issue you described with my S20. Searched but haven't found any solution either. Any information on this would be nice.
I do not own an S20 Exynos, I have the Snapdragon variant, but with my S10+ Exynos, I swear that after the Android 10 update I had started to experience the same issue. Even Clash Royale dropped for no reason to 20fps, not to mention Asphalt 9. It would sometimes go away after a reboot, other times not. Guess all you can do is wait for the Android 11 update, unless samsung issues some game optimizing service update that fixes this issue.
