Hello Guyz i am currently on N920AUCS4EQH1 .When i bought my phone it was on marshmallow .The software update section was not working then i updated to Noughet using this:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/att-galaxy-note5/general/sm-n920a-odin-100-stock-att-recovery-t3685870
Still the software update is saying "You are up to Date" Now i am wondering will there be any solution how can i get OTA update?
Hi, i tried updating my android phone with the latest security patch from TMobile. I was on Android 8.0 and when i went to update it, the phone restarted and now i get the message.
"Security Error: This phone has been flashed with unauthorized software * is locked. Call your mobile operator for additional support. Please note that repair/return for this issue may have additional cost."
The problem is i have never flashed this phone whatsoever. i did obtain it via a warranty exchange and udpated it from android 7.0 to android 8.0 and it worked fine. I am not sure why this happened.
Anyway, i tried downloading the ODIN firmware file for 8.0 from the updateto website
Specifically: htt ps:/ /updato.com /firmware-archive-s elect-model?rec ord=EEDFC92B2E0611E89F15FA163EE8F90B (get rid of spaces)
But it only contains the March 20th, 2018 firmware file (which i believe is the original 8.0)
because i had updated past that i need a more recent odin flashable firmware.
When i try to flash the CRB9 firmware i usually get error (abl) Fused 3 > binary 2 or (bootrom) fused 2 > binary 1
I believe my problem is i am attempting to downgrade the OS version. So i need a more updated ODIN firmware file.
i looked at this url
htt p://fota-clou d-dn.ospserver. net/firmware/T MB/SM-G955U/versio n.test.x ml (get rid of spaces)
and found that the latest firmware is G955UOYN3CRD9/G955USQU3CRD9
Does anyone know where i can get this odin firmware file so i can reflash my phone and get it working again?
Which firmware you are on?
There's U3CRD4 update available to download.
i was on android oreo. Thankfully T-mobile said it was under warranty and replaced my phone!
Huawei Mate 9 Lite "Software Install Failed" when trying to upgrade to Nougat
Hello there!
I have a Huawei Mate 9 Lite on which Im currently running BLL-L23C605B168 (Android 6.0/EMUI 4.1.3) and tried to upgrade to BLL-L23C605B370 (Android 7.0 Nougat) via Firmware Finder FullOta, it downloaded it and tried to install it, but at 2% or so in verifying the packages it told me "Software Install Failed". Tried this 2 times but it keeps giving me the error message.
So is there any way i can upgrade my Mate 9 Lite to Android 7.0 without Firmware finder?
Device is NOT rooted, bootloader is not unlocked.
Thanks in advance
About a month ago I flashed the leaked beta version of Android pie to my Verizon Galaxy S8+. Now that the official version is rolling out, can I just simply check for an update on my phone or do I need to flash back to Verizon firmware? Thanks in advance.
If you're still on the leaked beta pie version, then checking for updates won't work. You gotta flash an earlier firmware that's bootloader 5, either CSB1 or CSA4. You can get it from sammobile. I think you also have to factory reset your device after downgrading or it will be stuck in a bootloop, then check for updates manually from your device and update to official pie.

I have a S8+ and just got the Official Verizon system update 24 to Android Pie

My phone is Chinese variant running miui 11 Android 9 and i installed the anti brick from the mega thread. Now i have an Android 10 update and i downloaded the update for 3 times but Everytime it says update.zip is corrupted during update process. I also tried with choose update package to update manually but same results. How can i overcome this problem?
This thread?
Not sure, since it's pretty long ago that i used to flash custom recovery's and roms, but if you have TWRP as your recovery i don think you're able to flash official firmware. Also read something in that thread about Android 10 and Anti Brick not going along very well. My best guess is; get rid of TWRP and Anti Brick by flashing the correct official firmware for your device via Fastboot.
Try and find a very very VERY clear howto. Lots of reading and caution = not bricking your device.
