I would have posted this in another forum but don't have the appropriate permissions yet.
I followed all the steps at this forum link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1178912
and received the following error.
sending 'zip' (295144 KB)... OKAY
writing 'zip'... INFOsignature checking...
FAILED (remote: 12 signature verify fail)
1. I checked the md5sum and it says its correct (image attached)
2. But after performing all other instructions the change from gingerbread to froyo didn't happen (image attached)
I have performed this downgrade and rooting on other Desire HD's but those had 0.92 hboot. This device and another I am going to do this on has 0.85 hboot (image attached). Not sure what to do next, after searching I couldn't seem to find a solution to my problem
You do know that this is the Desire section and not the DesireHD one? Unless you want advice from people who doesnt know anythng about DHD, be my guest.

Pvillecomp.com. it should have all but the newer files. Try the froyo or gingerbread ruu there and read the help on the site. If you're still confused you can come back and ask questions. Also please report on your progress if you hit any issues or are successful.

Try reformating your sdcard fat32 with a pc. Then place only the ruu on the sdcard and try again. Sometimes that gets it to work.
My sdcard is FAT32 , I'm tired with it
When I try do it with android-sdk I get "FAILED (remote: not allowed)"

Even though its already fat32, sometimes reformating it gets it to work.
If your getting the remote not allowed message, it means the bootloader is still locked.

Thats strange, with the bootloader unlocked you should have no issues fastboot flashing cwm recovery. Download this file http://dinc.does-it.net/Guide_Root_New_Hboot/recovery.img, and place it on your pc in the same folder as fastboot.exe. Open a cmd prompt with the phone connected. The phone should be in hboot and say fastboot usb plug in red at the top. Type " fastboot flash recovery recovery.img ".
It's working fine with recovery

That sounds like a bad download/corruption of the PB file, or the version of ruu you are trying to flash is older than the version on the phone. Try this one http://dinc.does-it.net/Stock_Images/4.08.605.15/PB31IMG.zip

I've tried using htcdev but i can't unlock the bootloader on the G2, has anyone used another fully working method?
Don't unlock the bootloader its a bad choice for this phone
Rather have a look here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2348266
Follow the xda wiki to downgrade and then exploit via gfree. This is the best thin for this phone

When trying to down grade using this guide
http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/HTC_Desire_Z:_Firmware_Downgrade_(Gingerbread)
When I get to Step 9 fastboot always errors (regardless of machine I try)
Tried using the DesireZ PC10IMG and it says data length is too long.
The HTC Vision PC10IMG.zip is the only one fastboot actually sends over but error.
Code:

Did you use to unlock at one point? If so that's the issue
Boot to bootloader and write down everything you see on that screen here

Hello XDA Forums,
I was trying to update my phone OTA and it failed so I used HTC One 2014 (M8) AIO Toolkit to flash it with the recovery unzipped from OTA_M8_UL_L50_SENSE60_MR_Globalive_WWE_4.20.1500.1-3.34.1500.4_release_414300fa5ojq0b5zpc927f.
It got stuck in a loop so I tried flashing the OTA_M8_UL_L50_SENSE60_MR_Globalive_WWE_4.20.1500.1-3.34.1500.4_release_414300fa5ojq0b5zpc927f.zip file from the OTA I got when it saved it to Downloads but I receive:
target reported max download size of 1826418688 bytes
sending 'zip' (600817 KB)...
OKAY [ 27.783s]
writing 'zip'...
(bootloader) signature checking...
FAILED (remote: 12 signature verify fail)
finished. total time: 51.009s
Now when my phone boots up, I receive this.
What can I do now?
I see you're s-on your trying to flash a wwe firmware if your s-on and its not originally a wwe edition it will give that error go s-off and change cid and it should work
