Greetings,
After updating to version 10 I can't hear the car handsfree calls, they just disconnect as I answer. The same situation when I press the speaker button, the call simply disconnects. The party receiving the call complains of background noise and double hearing.
I'd love to get help fixing the problem.
Thanks!
I have had similar with older versions and my car Bluetooth... It wasn't a fix as I still had the odd problem but I got it to work 99 percent of the time by changing the Bluetooth avrcp version in in developer settings I'd recommend trying different ones and seeing if it works better with your bluetooth. If not that there are several new Bluetooth settings in the same bit of developer settings you could also try toggling some of them and researching what some do to see if that can help

Forgot to mention with one update my phone wouldn't connect properly when in call and I had to click on loudspeaker on the dialer and then back to Bluetooth and all the sounds would come through again

Guys,
Got a problem.
The sound output through the earphones is seemingly uneven in my phone.
The right (the one with the attached mic) throughput is a bit louder.
Also, I noticed that the bass part is more noticeable on the right side and the treble/human-voice part in the left side.
I tried the earphone with different devices, no problem in earphone.
Tried some other earphone/headphone in the phone...same problem again.
Problem is not with just 'Music Player'...its with any kind of audio output.
So ..basically the problem is with the 'balance' of sound output, I got to know that there is a hack-code for the 'balance' part for Wave 8500, but cudnt get one for 8530.
Anyone can help?
Shubh

Both the stock ROM and Android Open Kang Project - maguro build 19 ROM's are skipping a lot when I play music via Bluetooth using a2dp to my car stereo. My other phones Sony Ericson k800, iPhone 3G, and the Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant almost never skipped. My Galaxy Nexus on the other hand is skipping about 12 times per song (2-3min songs). I have disabled WiFi and search for available wireless networks. I have tried a few factory resets, cleared all the cashes, re-flashed, and re-paired the Bluetooth many times. Nothing has improved. For me its a big deal because since 2006 I have been using Bluetooth to listen to music in my car. On a side note when I use the car stereo to take phone calls there is no problem (does not skip) its just the A2DP part of the Bluetooth that has a problem. How can I fix the A2DP skipping issue on my Galaxy Nexus? Should I RMA the phone or is this a common issue for the Galaxy Nexus?
I have the same problem. Using bluetooth for audio, I have very frequent skips. I barely hear anything. Just a short blip and then silence. Sometimes reconnecting helps, but I have basically given up trying. I use the 3.5mm now which is a pain because then i cannot use bluetooth for calls. annoying.
I have asked about this issue and am waiting for an answer.
good luck,
chris
EDIT: I found that maybe? turning off NFC helped. Went out to test and it may have helped. It's 14 degrees now, so I won't be braving that too long. Will test this out tomorrow.
Fingers crossed.
Is the skipping problem only when screen is off or all the time?

Did anyone find a working solution to this?
I listen to music on my laptop over A2DP and the skipping is really really annoying!
I will second this problem. Strange that it seems to mostly happen when the phone is placed in a pants pocket. I have tried duplicating the problem by covering the phone, shaking it, bumping it, anything that might be happening to it in the pocket. And, nothing seems to replicate the problem.

I second this problem.
Strange that it is most prevalent when the phone is placed in a pants pocket. I can leave the phone on my desk and was 30 feet away and have no skipping; but place it in my pocket and it skips all over the place.
I have tried to duplicate the problem by covering the phone, shaking it, bumping it. Anything to recreate the pocket environment. But, nothing causes the skipping the same.

Any solutions to this problem found yet?
I'm on a Verizon Samsung Galaxy Nexus and a Motorola S10-HD bluetooth headset. I've been through many ROMS. Was on ICS, and am now on JB 4.1.1. I have the latest 4.0.4 radios. None of this matters. I'm having the same problems with the connection and it's bugging the crap out of me. My bluetooth FM transmitter is fine in the car and my phone calls are fine.
Using the phone, more than 30 feet away in a room: fine. Walking: fine. In the pocket, a couple minutes later and it cuts in and out. The latest ROM I flashed (CNA 3.2.0) made it much better, but it's still crap. I can listen without getting that annoyed now. It used to start cutting out constantly and sometimes I just gave up and stopped listening to music.
Any ideas? Looked at these other XDA forum threads, but there really wasn't a solution there.
Thanks

Pondering:
I think this may be a headset issue more than the phone itself. A lot of these responses are for the Motorola S10-HD, and the like, headsets. I think that it is a coincidence that these newer bluetooth headsets arrived on the scene about the same time as the Galaxy Nexus.
Just a thought. Reactions?
is anyone using this headset and is able to get media audio on it? the only time I can hear the audio from a movie is when i receive a call. both the call and the movie can be heard. is this headset not compatible with this phone? It worked with my hd2. (which I hated). sorry no search function on the mobile application.

A friend of mine has that pair of BT headphones and I was not able to even pair my phone with them. I tried three different roms and I still couldn't get them to connect.
I'll stick with my S9-HD's
This earpiece doesn't support A2DP, which is the standard for streaming high quality stereo audio to devices such as car stereos. It is designed only for phone talks. You will need to pay more bucks for a headset supporting A2DP.
The music you heard during a phone call is actually a "bug" in Android: the music is reduced in quality and mixed with phone voices. Some apps actually exploit this bug, which cheat the BT earpiece as if it was on a phone call, and stream the music in lower quality. You can check out "BT Mono" on the market. I actually don't use such apps for music on my BT earpiece because it sounds like crap. However, it is useful for video chats that I don't need to use the loudspeaker.

The BT pairing is pretty standard across all roms (even operating systems). I don't have an issue at all using this earpiece in different roms. Have you read the manual of the earpiece? You need to long-press the buttons in a weird way I can't recall to enter the pairing mode. All BT headsets have the similar design for security reasons.
Hey there, I'm new here, so maybe you can help me.
I've recently flashed Lineage OS 16 onto my Samsung Galaxy Note 3. I own an bluetooth headset for calling. But i have two problems. The bluetooth keeps crashing regularly and when i make a call with my headset I only hear cracking noises and neither i can here my partner nor he can hear me. All other sounds like music, system sounds and so on are totaly fine. Is there a way to fix this problem?
I have the same issue and have been researching on this issue. No fix till today. Will post if I find one.
Hi there,
can confirm the problem. I tested it with multiple devices from samsung (klte) and almost every version from lineageos 16. Everytime the same behavior. Sometimes bluetooth work 2 hours without problems and then 5 crashes during 5 minutes. The crashes are sporadically.
I'm a bit wondering that nobody of the developer seems to recognized this as an issue. Every entry in a forum I've found was not realley answered. Probably to complicated? I dont know.
The rest of of lineageos is realley great work. Maximum respect! But bluetooth is far away from stable.
I had similar problems in lineageos 15.1 but never in 14.1.
Cheers!
I've the same issue with nexus 6 running lineage 16 and plantronic 5200. it lost connectivity, I need to turn off bluetooth from the headset or phone, then it will work again for short period of time. and then I have to repeat the process, turn off bluetooth and turn it back on.
Any help?
Thanks
Same with Galaxy S4
Bluetooth keeps disconneting and stopping ever since I've install LOS 16. It was fine with 14.
The symptom deteriorates when starting and using another application as if the bluetooth thread's priority was too low.

You have to report the issue to LineageOS GitLab issues. Apparently dozens of users are having the bluetooth issue with latest version LineageOS 16.0 but now with older versions.
Bluetooth keeps stopping.
Lineageos 16 on HTC u11 Bluetooth voice call not working
I have been facing issues with Bluetooth on my device. I am using a wireless earphone that has the latest Bluetooth version 5.0 and whenever I call anyone the audio is not audible or distortion is heard on the other end also this happens randomly and range what I used to get on my note 7 pro is reduced. However, I haven't faced any such issue in other devices while using the same earphone.
Anyone else getting this problem. Please let me know if I can do anything to any fix the issue.
Same problem here.
I thought it was the earphone(jvc) but same distorsion on other earphone(pioneer).
yes same here. i use jbl reflect mini 2 and i have constant interruptions when talking. very frustrating. could this be only software?
I use Pamu Scroll, Pamu Slide, Redmi Airdots and i have constant interruptions. One earphone disconnect and i've to turn it down and reconnect tu use it again. Pretty terrible Bluetooth issue.
with another new pair of headset same constant interruptions when talking
Xiaomi we need an update to fix this.
no news, bad news?
Yesterday I received an upgrade.
I will let you know if it changes something.
Try disabling absolute volume in the developer menu if you haven't already.

Same problem here with Xiaomi Necband headset. I tried with 2 sets and same issue. I can listen, there is no problem with audio apps, but when talking there are some problems.
I also tried change bluetooth Latency to long and Bluetooth Playback Quality to connection quality. It works for a while but than it doesn't.
If someone has some other tips & tricks pls share
all good with the new android 10
