[Q] How to fix unequal sound output thru earphones (Wave s8530)? - Bada Software and Hacking General

Guys,
Got a problem.
The sound output through the earphones is seemingly uneven in my phone.
The right (the one with the attached mic) throughput is a bit louder.
Also, I noticed that the bass part is more noticeable on the right side and the treble/human-voice part in the left side.
I tried the earphone with different devices, no problem in earphone.
Tried some other earphone/headphone in the phone...same problem again.
Problem is not with just 'Music Player'...its with any kind of audio output.
So ..basically the problem is with the 'balance' of sound output, I got to know that there is a hack-code for the 'balance' part for Wave 8500, but cudnt get one for 8530.
Anyone can help?
Shubh

i have solution for ur problem........if u want to know then u can mail me on [email protected]..........

hi all
i have the same bug in my s8500 and i had it since i had bought the device
it was bada 1
updated to 1.2 still the same bug
2.0 beta still the same bug
changed the earphones with 3 different earphones still the same bug there
finally i had it flashed to android (alpha) the bug is gone the sound was perfect but the android project still alpha
for notice the earphones is perfectly works on other devices

[Q] Buletooth A2DP skipping! (Gnex)

Both the stock ROM and Android Open Kang Project - maguro build 19 ROM's are skipping a lot when I play music via Bluetooth using a2dp to my car stereo. My other phones Sony Ericson k800, iPhone 3G, and the Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant almost never skipped. My Galaxy Nexus on the other hand is skipping about 12 times per song (2-3min songs). I have disabled WiFi and search for available wireless networks. I have tried a few factory resets, cleared all the cashes, re-flashed, and re-paired the Bluetooth many times. Nothing has improved. For me its a big deal because since 2006 I have been using Bluetooth to listen to music in my car. On a side note when I use the car stereo to take phone calls there is no problem (does not skip) its just the A2DP part of the Bluetooth that has a problem. How can I fix the A2DP skipping issue on my Galaxy Nexus? Should I RMA the phone or is this a common issue for the Galaxy Nexus?
I have the same problem. Using bluetooth for audio, I have very frequent skips. I barely hear anything. Just a short blip and then silence. Sometimes reconnecting helps, but I have basically given up trying. I use the 3.5mm now which is a pain because then i cannot use bluetooth for calls. annoying.
I have asked about this issue and am waiting for an answer.
good luck,
chris
EDIT: I found that maybe? turning off NFC helped. Went out to test and it may have helped. It's 14 degrees now, so I won't be braving that too long. Will test this out tomorrow.
Fingers crossed.
Is the skipping problem only when screen is off or all the time?

Did anyone find a working solution to this?
I listen to music on my laptop over A2DP and the skipping is really really annoying!
I will second this problem. Strange that it seems to mostly happen when the phone is placed in a pants pocket. I have tried duplicating the problem by covering the phone, shaking it, bumping it, anything that might be happening to it in the pocket. And, nothing seems to replicate the problem.

I second this problem.
Strange that it is most prevalent when the phone is placed in a pants pocket. I can leave the phone on my desk and was 30 feet away and have no skipping; but place it in my pocket and it skips all over the place.
I have tried to duplicate the problem by covering the phone, shaking it, bumping it. Anything to recreate the pocket environment. But, nothing causes the skipping the same.

Any solutions to this problem found yet?
I'm on a Verizon Samsung Galaxy Nexus and a Motorola S10-HD bluetooth headset. I've been through many ROMS. Was on ICS, and am now on JB 4.1.1. I have the latest 4.0.4 radios. None of this matters. I'm having the same problems with the connection and it's bugging the crap out of me. My bluetooth FM transmitter is fine in the car and my phone calls are fine.
Using the phone, more than 30 feet away in a room: fine. Walking: fine. In the pocket, a couple minutes later and it cuts in and out. The latest ROM I flashed (CNA 3.2.0) made it much better, but it's still crap. I can listen without getting that annoyed now. It used to start cutting out constantly and sometimes I just gave up and stopped listening to music.
Any ideas? Looked at these other XDA forum threads, but there really wasn't a solution there.
Thanks

Pondering:
I think this may be a headset issue more than the phone itself. A lot of these responses are for the Motorola S10-HD, and the like, headsets. I think that it is a coincidence that these newer bluetooth headsets arrived on the scene about the same time as the Galaxy Nexus.
Just a thought. Reactions?

Help( headphone always on, no output from speakers or earpiece)

Current rom: Bootleggers
Kernel tried : Heliox v2
Kernel tried : ARBeastR6
I tried clean wipe but still the problem sustains, the headphone automatically connects (wired headset) and after that there is no output from speaker and earpiece except for call connecting sound and ringtone sound from speaker, before headphone connect sign is shown everything works fine
I thinks its mostly problem of the headphone jack
Am i right? or its something else?
That's what happened with me i was using pixel experience with AR Beast and suddenly the exact problem happened and i tried another ROMs like Zui 3.5 but still the problem was there and then i slept and when i woke up the problem was gone idk how.

What is this problem? Any particular thing you remember doing?
Did your phone came in contact with water?
No I don't think it came in contact with water because loudspeaker was working fine during calls. I think that was a problem of kernel (not sure)

Tried it , no difference.
Although temporary i found an app which gets the job done switching between speaker and headphone its good
It's a hardware failure. Seems like your headphones Jack is messed up; happened to my Redmi note 3 as well. Try cleaning it up with cotton bud or something. If it doesn't work, you can try some black market and see if they can replace it separately without changing the motherboard.
Issues solved.. It got resolved by itself, mostly it way due to some hardware problem in headphone jack
Thanks for all the help.
Peace ✌?

If some one else faces the problem download the lesser audio switch app from playstore for the time being it will help to select the sound output source

3.55mm to usb c adapter stops working

Hi, I have a problem with the headphones adapter, it works for some time, then one earphone stops working and later the second. And next day it works again but it repeats. I tried different adapters and earphones.
I'm having the same issue... Whenever I'm listening to music and I open Instagram directs for example (the same happens when I start an WhatsApp audio), I hear a "tick", and then the sound starts bugging, then one side stops. The "solution" is to unplug the adapter and plug back in... I tested another adapter, from a previous Mi A2, and it happened the same way... Probably a MIUI version bug
Can confirm. Latest Stable. Seems like related to the fingerprint whenever i touch in that area or unlock audio distort then shut down...
*HOW TO REPRODUCE*
Plug Jack 3.5mm adaptor
Play music on spotify
Open Instagram and view a Story with audio
BOM
Audio will distort and then shut down or play mono, right or sx solo
I also have this bug. It's annoying. I always play music on earphones ??
Anyone has found a solution for this?
The only way I've been able to go thru this is pausing the music, waiting a minute and play again, it's annoying and only happens with the earphones.

No solution right now.
Happening to me also. Really annoying. I hope its a software issue the can be fixed...
Does this happen with every ROM or just some are affected?
Happend to me in EEAA 10.3.1
Installed .eu latest stable rom and now it works perfectly
The only solution is to buy a new adapter, with another adapter the problem is not showing.
Tried with a chinese one, and with a Huawei, and no problems.
Just pay attention to chinese adapters, that often invert left-right channels.

Just for observation, tried doing this and mine didn't fail. For me it does even if playing audio without using the phone (screen off). I don't know how to reproduce and the time to fail varies.

Can't be that... how can the adapter that comes with the phone doesn't work? That would be ridiculous... also the channels aren't switched, and even if it were, should not fail like it is happening.

I don't know, probably a manufacturing defect...
I wasn't talking about the original one, for the switched channels problem.
I tried a Chinese adapter (not the original) bought on Aliexpress, and no failing, just switched channels.
So, I tried a Huawei adapter, and everything works fine, no switched channels and no failing.

Damn
In any case, is not a serious problem, a good adapter cost about 5 dollars, and probably is better then the original one (original adapters often aren't so good).
I think that the missing notifications on status bar is a most serious problem...

wow its a hell of a problem for who uses headphone a lot! I can't even listen to music, the sound stops working within some minutes, it sucks.
Its not about the adaptor, I've tried others and the problem still persists... its obviously some software or hardware problem (most probably software)... so its a big issue.

Yeah, big issue for wired music listener like me too while doing sport. Im thinking to go bluetooth just ot avoid this kind of bug. BTW im searching a good type c - jack adapter to test even the possibility that Xiaomi messed up with a big production lot of adaptors but seems too strange.
These days for me Whatsapp is the main cause of the problem. Is not happening often with other apps.
Im having the same problem, where initially there would be static noise, and the left/right piece stops working until both are not functional.
The only solution is to unplug and plug it back.
Very annoying indeed.

Redmi Note 8 Pro Bluetooth Issues?

I have been facing issues with Bluetooth on my device. I am using a wireless earphone that has the latest Bluetooth version 5.0 and whenever I call anyone the audio is not audible or distortion is heard on the other end also this happens randomly and range what I used to get on my note 7 pro is reduced. However, I haven't faced any such issue in other devices while using the same earphone.
Anyone else getting this problem. Please let me know if I can do anything to any fix the issue.
Same problem here.
I thought it was the earphone(jvc) but same distorsion on other earphone(pioneer).
yes same here. i use jbl reflect mini 2 and i have constant interruptions when talking. very frustrating. could this be only software?
I use Pamu Scroll, Pamu Slide, Redmi Airdots and i have constant interruptions. One earphone disconnect and i've to turn it down and reconnect tu use it again. Pretty terrible Bluetooth issue.
with another new pair of headset same constant interruptions when talking
Xiaomi we need an update to fix this.
no news, bad news?
Yesterday I received an upgrade.
I will let you know if it changes something.
Try disabling absolute volume in the developer menu if you haven't already.

Same problem here with Xiaomi Necband headset. I tried with 2 sets and same issue. I can listen, there is no problem with audio apps, but when talking there are some problems.
I also tried change bluetooth Latency to long and Bluetooth Playback Quality to connection quality. It works for a while but than it doesn't.
If someone has some other tips & tricks pls share
all good with the new android 10

After update Hand free not working on my one plus 5T

Greetings,
After updating to version 10 I can't hear the car handsfree calls, they just disconnect as I answer. The same situation when I press the speaker button, the call simply disconnects. The party receiving the call complains of background noise and double hearing.
I'd love to get help fixing the problem.
Thanks!
I have had similar with older versions and my car Bluetooth... It wasn't a fix as I still had the odd problem but I got it to work 99 percent of the time by changing the Bluetooth avrcp version in in developer settings I'd recommend trying different ones and seeing if it works better with your bluetooth. If not that there are several new Bluetooth settings in the same bit of developer settings you could also try toggling some of them and researching what some do to see if that can help
---------- Post added at 01:18 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:17 PM ----------
Forgot to mention with one update my phone wouldn't connect properly when in call and I had to click on loudspeaker on the dialer and then back to Bluetooth and all the sounds would come through again
