Thanks AmznUser444 Dev but you are sure that app can solve my problem? I tried other same apps, over 4 and no one can upside down the screen.
When I set the correct orientation I need, the Stick reset the normal landscape orientation.
You have tried this app? I think is the same of others I already tried.

just to information. I tried this app and the result is the same of the others apps. When I set "Landscape (reverse)" the Stick reset the screen in the previous vision set.

[Q] Disabling the screen orienation from going to upsidedown-landscape.

Hi guys. Well here's the deal. I used to have the very app for this, but deleted it while ago so need to find it again. Basically, I want the screen orienation to change when I tilt the phone, but only to normal landscape. I do NOT want the phone to going into the upside down landscape because I NEVER use it that way and it sometimes switches to that side which delays me and such so it gets annoying. How can I prevent the phone from switching to the other side of landscape, but it be able to go into landscape? I tried Tasker, but that didn't work too well.
thanks for the help guys!
P.S. I am rooted and have CM7
its either in cm settings or spare parts.
I couldn't find it :/

That's not what he's talking about. He's talking about the opposite of land so 260?
LOL, basically when I enable auto-rotate, I only want the screen to switch to portrait and landscape. I don't want it to switch upside-down, or to the other side of landscape.
When you enable auto-rotate, the screen can rotate in 3 diff positions. I only want it to be able to switch into 2.

This is great, I also did not like the 3rd rotation like the OP, but it never bothered me enough to complain about it.
The app suggested works GREAT. Thank you for this little quiet gem!

no its not on all versions of android at all. if you tilt your phone to the right it goes into landscape. mine did not do that on my g1 but does on my desire z. only if you tilt the phone to the left would it go landscape.

[Q] Netflix says its not compatible with my S2, any thoughts?

Hi everyone,
Before my S2 was rooted and loaded with EaglesBlood Netflix was working properly, but after that whenever I try to pull up the app with my phone it takes me to the android market and says that Netflix isn't compatible with my device.
Any thoughts on how I can solve this?
Thanks.

Are you running any apps that change the screen/lcd density? This will cause that to happen.

Know any workaround for this? Or do I have to set it back to normal whenever I want to get an app?

revert back to 240 when finished installing, just go back to the density that you want. It will work after that. It seems the installer is checking up on screen resolution prior to installing/downloading.

Yep, this is the "solution." It's very odd that Google has decided to enforce a pixel density standard....

I know why be worried about the desity?
Maybe its because when you program for Android you set images and layout objects based on density and screen size if you want to make your app dynamic. Android pulls this information from the app and lays out the GUI based on what folders they layout objects are in.

[Q] Spotify

Has anyone gotten spotify to work? I've tried the official apk and it displays sideways and only on part of the screen, and I've also tried KFSpotifyAndroid.apk from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1417863 which displays properly but when you login the app immediately closes.

have you tried something like https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=nl.fameit.rotate to force the original app to rotate?
I'll give that a try this afternoon when I get home. Alternatively would anyone know where to find an apk for the official kindle fire version of spotify?

That did work to fix the orientation but the app is not responding to any key presses on the fire tv remote. I'm going to give a keyboard a try.

Thanks for the advice on the rotation app.

You might try the Kindle tablet version of Spotify and let us know how it works. A working version of Spotify is the only thing holding me back from getting one of these things.

Well it is working for me with just a couple caveats. I have to use another app to fix the orientation and I have to use a keyboard/mouse to navigate, which isn't that big of an issue for me since it's nice to be able to type in my search queries easily.
And I believe in post #4 screwyluie linked me to the kindle fire apk. I tried that out and it still had the orientation issue so I just went with the official apk from spotify.
I decompiled the Spotify APK (latest version from my S4) and removed any android:screenOrientation="portrait" attributes from the AndroidManifest.xml file. It now shows up in the correct orientation for me. I used an attached keyboard/mouse to login, but after that I've just been using the Amazon remote to click through things on my playlists (on some of the screens, it helps to push the the left before scrolling up or down). If you hit the search box, the on screen keyboard shows up... so while it's not perfect, I think you can get by with the standard remote.
I've posted a build here if you want to try it:

Gave it a try but it's not letting me input text at all.

Lock rotation in landscape?

Hello all, sadly I'm using 1000 post for this. But my brother just recently got this phone. He is coming from an iPhone so huge difference. One thing we both can't figure out, is how to lock it in landscape. Every time we try, it reverts back to portrait and locks. I couldn't really find much on Google or here. But the one thing I did find, made it seem like you need the xposed g3 tweak box.
So, is it possible to lock the rotation in landscape without root/xposed, or is that the only option?
Thanks guys!

[Q] Sony Smartwatch 2 Accelerometer

Hi guys sorry if this is a silly question but I am wondering if the accelerometer on the Sony Smartwatch 2 is activated on the default firmware. I know the Pebble's wasn't until the recent update. According to reading there definitely seems to be one: https://developer.sony.com/develop/wearables/smartwatch-2-apis/guides/hardware-specifications/ but I haven't found an application that actually uses it.
Is it possible to to use it to track your steps via the accelerometer without having to have the phone in your pocket (but obviously having to be within Bluetooth range)?
Unless perhaps my accelerometer on my specific SW2 is broken.
Thanks in advance!
If you download the examples from Sony for developing for SW2, there is an axample app for the sensor.
Anyway the sensibility of the sensor only makes it suitable for detecting movement and turn on screen accordingly and no much more I guess
It's active. I know of 3 apps off the top of my head that use it. Yes, it can be used as a step counter. I know of one app that uses it for that, but it only works when the app is open.

Thanks for the reply. Could you tell me which app it is that counts steps?
According to the attached picture extracted from the Sony site there is definitely an accelerometer capable of being a pedometer. The app I have (walkmate) only counts my step with my phone in my pocket - i.e. it is only using the watch as a display and not a counter.
