Hi. Have a car wireless charger which opens ups up automatically. I would like to know if there is anyway to disable the wireless chargeron my s20 ultra so it doesn't charge everytime I place the phone in the cradle. I can't disconnect the power otherwise the cradle will not open and close. I have tried to disable the fast wireless charging options in settings. That doesn't disable wireless charging. Anyone have any ideas please. Thankyou
Device Care , Charging, you can switch off Fast Wireless Charging. Dont know if it disables totally though.
Hi. No that doesn't disable it. If you turn it off it still charges but probably slower.
Can't disable wireless charging without root.

For those of you who have tried the wireless charging mod for the T889 version of the SGN2, do you get a voltage drop across the receiver coils with the phone not charging on the Touchstone but powered up? What about NOT charging but powered off? I'm just wondering if the missing hardware controller shuts off power to the receiver coil when the phone is not in wireless charging mode. Do you notice a drop in battery usage time or no drop at all?
Anyone have access to the N7100 version that can verify this?
I'm contemplating applying this mod, but I also want some control over when the receiver coil is active. [I was hoping to post this under the developer thread started by Vinas1, but don't have posting rights to that area yet. I need to pay my dues with 10 posts]
Wireless charging is not much current. I think around standard usb current which is 500mah. The stock charger is 2000mah (2amps). So that means when in wireless charging if you have the screen on it will most likely not charge but keep it at whatever percent it is currently at. If you are doing anything else as well like GPS you can expect it to drain on wireless charging.
It's they're a way to get daydream to work while charging wirelessly?
Mine works fine on the wireless charger as well as when it is plugged in. Does your phone daydream while plugged in?
Yes while plugged in.
Not sure why it wouldnt work on wireless. Maybe its the qi charger? I had a droid maxx with the droid qi charger and when I got the g3 the droid charger wasnt powerful enough. I needed to get a 3 coil wireless charger for it to work. Weird how it works while plugged in but not wireless
I have the D855 model with qi charging and NFC and I am using the official LG WCD100 wireless charging dock. While wireless charging works correctly, I can't get it to display daydream while charing.
I tried to configure it manually by creating a llama action. While it does detect and trigger the daydream app, the "Wireless Charging %" screen comes on and then turns off the display in about 2 seconds. If I wake the phone via knock, I can see the daydream app loaded in the background.
Is it possible to disable this "screen off while wireless charging" behavior?
Hello,
Same here with LG Wireless Charger WCD-100 ... Any fix?

As your phone sits in the cradle with a black screen, just tap it awake. Daydream will enable afterwards.
LG G3 Daydream Wireless Charging Not Working Fixed
Hi All,
I just bought a DeX station and when I plug everything in, (HDMI, power, input devices), DeX won't start, even the phone is not charging when it's docked. I am currently using the out-of-the-box S8+ charger, with Adaptive Fast Charging together with the original cable, and have tried to use a friend's S6 Fast Charger to no avail either, although my phone, when plugged directly to the fast charger, detects it as fast charging.
Does anyone have a fix for this, or experiencing the same problem with the DeX station?
do you use it with a case ?

I experience the same issue. I've just bought the DeX from someone, it doesn't work with my chargers (two Samsung chargers, one Apple charger and one Meizu charger)/cables (Samsung original and others), BUT it DOES work when connected to seller's charger (regular Samsung)/TV.
I didn't manage to find the culprit yet.
Just to clear the air. Your not rooted and heavily debloated are you?
You have to use a 9V or 12V Charger.
I can also use my Xiaomi Notebook Charger.
Hi there. I'm looking for a wireless car charger that has an on off switch for the charging function. A lot of them seem to have motorized grips that need power still but I don't want to always be charging my phone when I put it in the mount. Do any of you know of a charger that does this? I'm in the USA.

You could just unplug the charger from usb/charge source... And get manual grip. Why wouldn't you want to always charge it though?
Hi,
I have a oneplus 9 pro with root (upgraded from oneplus 5T), i have also a mi wireless charger in the car and i now am able to charge the phone in the car with the wireless charger. The situation i'm facing is that i get in/out of the car a lot during the day, and it is always uncharging and charging the phone, constantly dropping from 100% to 90%/85% and ask if theres anyway to disable wireless charging in the phone. The charger needs to be connected so it can open automatically the phone holders and close to secure the phone, also to open is necessary power. Didn't face this problem before, as i didn't have wireless charging on OP 5T.
The solution i found for now is a thin alluminium foil between the case and the phone and it won't charge but when i really want to charge i have to take it out all the times. I was hopping i could with tasker write a command when plugged to car's Bluetooth it disables the wireless charging and vice-versa.
Is this possible. Or any other suggestion.
Have found a user that was able to modify this file on OP 8 Pro
/sys/class/power_supply/wireless/op_disable_charge
Enabled: 0
Disabled: 1
bu i can't find that file
Regards
Buy a Kenu holder...
Without wireless charging.
Don't see why it wouldn't be possible with tasker since the opposite is avail. You'll just have to work on it. Or find a tasker forum to help you out. Or place the foil on top of the charger then much easier to remove and replace at wim
Thank you for your answers but i have found what i was looking for.
For everyone in the same situation i am, here is how i did it:
The file taht enables or disables Wireless charging on OP 9 Pro is located here:
/sys/class/oplus_chg/wireless/chg_enable
enable - 1
disable - 0
i have created a tasker profile/task that enables when connected to car bluetooth and disables on disconnect.
Hope it can help someone.
