Hi everybody, after unlocking my bootloader and installing twrp I'm encountering this issue: before installing miui eu12 sdcard partition looks like pic 1 but after reboot I get back to recovery and sdcard looks like pic 2. Straight after installing the rom I went back to sdcard and partition was fine, all the mess happens after I reboot. Thank in advance for all the support View attachment 5020683

@cthulhu79: you should have format /data before flashing. The old encrypt-key is lost by reboot.

Don't ask me why installing shrp solved the issue!

@cthulhu79: ok, I don't I switched to SHRP, too, due to TWRP issues on Q.
Sorry: what does it mean mean "shrp"?

You have to format data and type yes before installing a new rom.
Just doing a factory reset is not enough.
Cheers

Hi, I'm having this exact same issue. Forgive my ignorance but doesn't doing this delete the ROM in the internal storage? I did try this, realised all internal storage had been deleted so had to flash a fastboot rom. So how can I get around this please?
Edit: solved my ignorance! transferred it from my computer into twrp and now its finally booting!

Hi Guys,
one of my friends updated his phone to ICS but something went really wrong for him and now he's able to switch the phone on, but only a warning sign (pls see attached pic) comes in then a few moments later the phone turns itself off.
We've tried SEUS, PC Companion and flashtool to fix the problem but none of these helped.
i'd really appreciate if you could either guide me or suggest me some ideas how to fix this.
thanks a lot!

Image note working for me,
Can you actually boot into Flash Mode or Fastboot Mode?
holding back or menu then plug in usb.
or is that where it comes up with the error.
Pvy.
Hi, it boots into flash mode, the green led shows up as well, but the device can't be flashed, it just simply disconnects. Here's the image once more. Thnx for the help!

Hello, I need someone to wire me, I've been messing with my cell phone for several days ...
I explain briefly.
I was in beta 16 and everything was perfect, until I upgrade to beta 17, then the consumption of the "Android system" began to fire, warmed up a lot and I drained the battery.
As a result, I made several wipes, remained the same.
Restore factory and nothing, just ...
At the end choose to try another rom and put the Resurrction remix. (There began other problems with the recovery that every time q enter it, I restored factory)
In the end I decided to return to Oxygen Os Stable.
(I put it on sideload since the twrp)
Well, it's still the same ... Battery usage of the "Android system" increases much faster than anything else, as I use it on mobile. And the phone is always hot .... (look at the grades) Q give me something to use (I'll put it in the fridge ?)
What else can I do??
Has anyone else gone through it and solved it?
Help please ?

Do a proper fresh install of stock Oos using oxygen recovery and all will be well, don't flash other custom kernels on top of other custom kernels, what kernel are you running?
I closed bootloader and it works. But I re-open the bootloader, recovery twrp and supersu 2.82 and the problem returns.

I'm not sure where this OTA update could be used with custom recovery. even for the stock recovery it seems the whole recovery flash image is required
Thanks @koshikas , I've found a fastboot update

no

Thanks @koshikas, I know. That's why I'll wait some more experienced people here. I'm afraid to loose some data in the operation. If you've a good link for a ultra safe backup & easy restore I'll love it

MiFlash has options to flash with & without wiping. You can backup with the built-in tool or try Alpha Backup on play store.
Your recovery is outdated and is the reason for the failed flash. Try orangefox or dungphp's TWRP/Pitchblack.
Finally you can force a download of the full rom and not just the update from the updater app. It's in the menu at the top right. If you don't see it tap the 'currently installed' text a bunch.
Or just click here to download
Hi. Anyone know why latest OneUi 5.0 takes 70GB system storage?
I believe that system should take about 10-15GB like clear Android 13 (Mi9T Pro - 12GB, MiPad 5 - 16GB), but not 70.
Anyone know what is happening in the system directories?

Mine says 39gb so I think both are wrong
I have mine at 106GB, wiping cache didn't do anything.
Mine is extremely debloated, I wonder if that has anything to do with mine being so low comparatively...

I have the standard A13 ROM from Samsung (not debloated) and it's 40GB.
~63 Gb after the last uodate
19 gb after december update
everyone with more than 25 gb sistem files please try file guardian GL module to clear old android sistem files

Nevermind
Tempus Fugit
I trust the OS. As long as I have a lot of free space, I don't care how much the system takes.
Is there another vesy to remove old system files? Why are they there, short of a system recovery?

I tried cleaning my internal storage a while ago and noticed my system storage increased to 110GB, lmao.
Update on this: I did a factory reset to see if it'll do anything.
From 111GB, it went down to 38GB, but after completely restoring all my apps, files and everything, it went back up to 58GB. Not bad considering I freed up 50GB+.
I suspect the reason my system files bloated like that is because I have a habit of flashing roms without wiping, especially when the beta came out.
