I'm not sure where this OTA update could be used with custom recovery. even for the stock recovery it seems the whole recovery flash image is required
Thanks @koshikas , I've found a fastboot update
joyeuse_global_images_V12.0.3.0.QJZMIXM_20210419.0000.00_10.0_global_0801ff7d09.tgz
Will I lose all my data with it?

no
just know that fastboot and recovery update methods are not the same
Thanks @koshikas, I know. That's why I'll wait some more experienced people here. I'm afraid to loose some data in the operation. If you've a good link for a ultra safe backup & easy restore I'll love it

MiFlash has options to flash with & without wiping. You can backup with the built-in tool or try Alpha Backup on play store.
Your recovery is outdated and is the reason for the failed flash. Try orangefox or dungphp's TWRP/Pitchblack.
Finally you can force a download of the full rom and not just the update from the updater app. It's in the menu at the top right. If you don't see it tap the 'currently installed' text a bunch.
Or just click here to download

You need the stock ROM (never rooted) and the stock recovery for OTAs to work.
You can find a stock TWRP backup of the ROM (change your recovery to TWRP first, obviously), and the stock recovery (for after you've flash the stock backup) in this thread.
Instructions are in the OP.
Thank you so much! I will try your solution!
Hello again, I tried to follow the instructions but I dont know which TWRP backup collection will work for my telcel (mexico) HTC m8... I am still lost at it... thank you again for your help

You need 1.12.600.20 backup which currently not available.
Make a request in my thread so I won't forget to search thru my hardisk when I'm home later. I believe I still have that 1.12.600.20 backup
Check my thread, the backup now available
Restore 1.12.600.20 backup
Install 4.32.600.2 stock recovery.img (as 1.12.600.20 recovery.img is not available)
then you can do OTA update to 4.32.600.2
The files are available at post #2 & post #4
Here is the OTA Update Package (from 00WW_1_290 to 00WW_1_330):
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B3ULCmaZF4p_aVlNVndaWHZhMWs
you can use stock recovery to install (with untouched system partition) or
make it a flashable zip of custom recovery and using TWRP to install.

I would not flash this depending on your region. I believe I heard this was only for TW users. I'll need to check wth our team.

So apparently it's okay to flash, but has tweaks for TW users. But it is better to wait until the update comes (soon).

Donwload the update manually via miui site and flash it via twrp.
OTA only works on stock recovery. If you had done a quick research you would've found that.

They also need to update that twrp version.
Official is up to 3.2.1 now....
So how come last update it worked without doing it manually?
And if I want to remove TWRP, how do i do that?

Hi all, I have rooted my pixel 6 pro since day 1 and always used the magisk way of patching and restoring images for updates, since the February update Google tells me updates are no longer supported on my device per screenshots, anyone else had this issue and know how to resolve it?

You might want to backup, uninstall magisk in the app, reboot. Then full reset/wipe and reboot. Then manually update to the latest May 2022 version using adb or the android flash tool. Something has gone awry with your software. Better to be safe than sorry.
Just used the android flash tool and flash the latest image without the wipes, then reroot, should fix it all.

But with my device rooted and my bootloader unlocked won't that throw me into a boot loop? Then I'll have to completely wipe and restore no?

Nope! Quite the opposite if I get stuck in a bootloop I just use the flash tool to fix it. No loss of data, but you need to re-boot the magisk boot image then reflash in magisk afterwards as it will completely remove magisk
So I did what you suggested and now my device is stuck in a boot loop with corrupt data, I did however patch the boot.img previously when I tried to send it to the device via ADB so I'm going to try to push that now and see what happens. Here are the options I selected for Android Flash Tool.
Second attempt with not selecting 'Disable Verity' and 'Disable Verification' worked successfully.
Thank you, I really appreciate it!

Yes, I already managed to fix it and installed the firmware. But never got around to installing TWRP. After I install TWRP on the phone, I start a cycle of reboots and nothing else, and so I've reflashed and tried differently every time, but still can't get TWRP installed. Maybe you know how to solve this problem?

Type this on Google: brp 3.5.2 v2.7 pling
And download exactly that version.
This TWRP is for Miui 12.0.x and custom rom based on that.
