25w car charger

Did anyone find a good fast car charger?

Try any type from Anker. As long as it has qualcomm fast charging, it is fast enough. Only a couple minutes behind stock samsung charger.

As I looked more into this, my wall charger that came with my phone is just a small 25w box EP-TA800 which I don't understand why accubattery says its getting 5,000+ mAh from it but needless to say the baseus car charger below is able to supply the 25w means while my Anker charger doesn't https://www.amazon.ca/Anker-Charger...rger&qid=1575374418&smid=AREE309N4XPXI&sr=8-5 . It looks like I need a new cable to make this 45w thing to work, if it even works with baseus. but still better then the pixel 2 xl 16.3W charging speed. I actually got it too from ebay and can confirm it works just like the original charger, I think it might be actually charging up to 45w.

The charger said 26.2V, 9.32V and, 2.75A and its able to support 15V at 3A and 20V at 2.25
Supplying 24V to the Baseus car charger, it only supplied 9.32V X 2.75A = 25.63‬Watts which is about the same just using 12V
My current cable only supports PD 2.0 60W, 3 Amps

Not all cables are the same. But i'm calling this as a good 25Watt charger with cable combo just untill it burns out

Its pretty crazy that Samsung chose the latest PD 3.0 variant with PPS, requiring the odd 10V at 4.5A. Clever heat management, but until now I came up empty finding the exact supporting charger other than the Samsung original who also seems to have its challenges. Not that I really would want such a fast charger to become my daily driver, fearing added wear on the battery, but for the rare occasion where I really need juice and do not have a powerbank handy, following if the community finds any solution.

Where to buy an extra OEM charger

I am looking to purchase an extra 18W charger, North American variant.
Is it available for purchase anywhere?
The only 18W charger I could find on Asus' store mentions being a notebook charger.
But it appears to be identical.
Having used OnePlus phones, I do miss how easy it was to purchase accessories on their website...

Whats. The difference in quick charge 3 and 4 as far as speeds? The 5z had a 18w qc3 charger and the Zenfone 6 has a 18w qc4 charger..would the qc3 charge slower ?

I guess the original charger will be faster. Can you try and compare it?

I compared the two.
Note, that, presumably, because the OEM charger does not go up the maximum 20V of QC4 (only 9V) it is not actually a certified QC4 charger, despite using the standard.
Also, the power rating for QC4 isn't actually higher than QC3, it merely has finer voltage control, allowing for better efficiency.
Sidenote, funnily enough, my QC3 charger is two thirds the size of the ASUS downgraded QC4 charger...
I used ampere to measure current at 50% charge.
That said, I used a QC3 charger from my previous Mi Max 2, it definitely got picked up by the Zenfone 6, showing the two plusses in the battery icon. It reached a max current of 2.5A
The OEM charger reached a stable 3A.
A difference is certainly there, but my guess is it won't actually be THAT significant in the real world. Personally I always use two chargers, the OEM for fast topping up, when needed. And another really "crappy" (0.8A smartwatch charger) for overnight charging so that the majority of the charging I do stresses the battery as little as possible. No matter what Qualcomm likes to tell you, fast charging definitely shortens the lifespan of a battery, so while convenient, it's good to do it as little as possible.
If you REALLY want the fastest possible results, try and find a QC4 charger. Only a few actually exist to buy right now.
Otherwise you can get a QC3 charger, there are TONS of those, and you can actually get the pretty cheap too. You'll only lose 0.5A anyway.
You could probably also use a USB PD 3.0 charger, as QC4 is able to negotiate voltages with it as if it were a fully supported QC charger.
Edit. Tried charging with both from 55% to 71% (It just happened to be where I was at with one charger, then used a battery drainer to do the exact same charge).
The QC3 charger was one minute slower at 16 minutes, while the OEM did it in 15 minutes.

Question Warp Charge 30 not working?

Has anyone got warp charge 30 / 30w charging to work on their 9 pro? When I look at the charge speed using #8008 and logging the charge current with the screen off I never get over 1.2A or 1200ma. That is with the car charger and wall charger from one plus. My 65w charger will charge over 6A fine with the screen off. I tested the 30w chargers on my oneplus 7 pro and they work fine. I also noticed if I use a charger designed for PD my phone will charge at 2.0A / 2000ma. I find it strange the phone won't work in backwards compatibility. I actually get faster charging from my oneplus 5t charger that was only rated at 3.5A.
If anyone has a solution please let me know.

Because warp charge 30 can only negotiate up to the max of 5v. The warp charge 65 is 10 volts. The 9 pro phone uses a split cell battery which effectively splits and halves the incoming voltage and amperage for each cell so 10 volts become 5 volts each which would explain the much less than ideal charging speed.
Coincidentally USB-PD also can negotiate higher output voltage (I believe 9 volts) hence the compatibility to work with them.

I had considered the the 5v vs 10v but I thought one plus had mentioned the phone was fully backwards compatible. I really need to find a car charger that can charge the phone fast. I thought about buying the 50w OPPO charger but I cannot find one from any reputable place or even oppos site for sale. Right now I use my inverter in my work truck. If I could actually charger at 30w that would be fine for my needs but when using hotspot or GPS the phone doesn't even charge much at all when it only draws 1.2A. It takes multiple hours to charge 50% at that speed.

Never on the specs on the official product page for the warp 30 charger states it works with the 9 pro. Just settle on any 45+ watt usb-pd adapter and it'll get pretty close to warp 30 charger's max speed which would get you topped off in roughly an hour or more. Save yourself the headache and be grateful that's even an option as past OnePlus phones would only cap at 5 watts on any non OnePlus fastchargers.
PS, I wouldn't trust any marketing fluff coming from OnePlus as of late, they've been clickbaity and false hype inducing with bold but cleverly misworded claims since the inception of the 8 series and has been going downhill from there. My 9 pro is likely going to be my last OnePlus and likely last forray with android phones as a whole.

On the other hand..., wireless warp charger 30w from OnePlus 8 Pro works fine on my OnePlus 9 Pro.
I use it untill i got my 50w warp charger.

You just need a PD 3.0 (or higher version) compatible charger that can do 30w or more. The rest matters not, it's an industrial standard.

Part of me wants to be fancy and get the pixel stand 2nd gen, but in all honesty I don't think I'm that fussed about having all the exclusive features like gallery showing pictures etc so to be fair I may just get a standard wireless charger, but even then I'm not that fussed charging it wirelessly, I think I just like the concept of standing it up lol

I bought an extra (already got one) original 45W charger. I know it's overkill and a rip off, but whatever. At least it will charge just about anything USB Type-C, right?

Don't know yet, but hopefully we can test it out soon...

30W and 50W WARP wireless charging is only for OnePlus phones. The OnePlus 30W wireless charger does max. Qi charge at 10W, and the OnePlus 50W wireless charger does max. Qi charge at 15W.
The Pixel phones are locked at max. Qi charge of 12W with any wireless charger other than Google's wireless charger.
That's no where near the 23W capability from Google wireless charger.

I believe Samsung chargers use the PD standard and should deliver a fast charge.

Any PD charger of at least 30W will give you the max charge speed. I doubt there will be a big difference using the 18W Pixel chargers from older phones. I'll be using a 10W wireless charging pad I got on Amazon a couple years ago that is connected to an 18W Pixel charger. It will charge overnight so how long it takes doesn't matter. I use this charger for my Pixelbook. It has 2 PD ports and a usb-a port. It will work for the new Pixels and does super fast charging for the new Samsung phones. A phone will only draw as much power as it is rated for so the 65W rating won't hurt your phone. It would charge 2 Pixel 6's at the same time at 30W.

I can't confirm, but I'm 99% sure they will not charge at 30w. OnePlus does 5V at 6A to get 30W. This is not a PD standard. At best you'll get 5V3A so 15W.

I have this charger https://zendure.com/products/superport-s3 it's a dual PD 65W charger and it still charges my Pixel6P at a ridiculously slow pace. Even with adaptive charging off. It's also a USB 3.0 charger that charges all my other devices very fast except for my P6P so there has to be something more to it IMHO.
EDIT: According to this article https://www.androidauthority.com/best-google-pixel-6-chargers-3041818/ There are 3 standards required USB 3.0, PD and PPS mine doesn't appear to have the latter so maybe that's why.

It can't be any PD 3.0. It has to support PPS protocol. Most charges that don't explicitly state that they support are not good (for P6/P6P 30W charging). For example this anker one is PD3.0 PPS one.

Make sure it supports PPS.
I got a GaN one with PPS support up to 65W for 30€ on Amazon.

It's nice the pixel 6 tells you whether your connection is a fast or slow charge. I picked up a $16 PD PPS charger at AMZN and the P6P shows it is fast charging. The AMZN listing showed it as iphone 13 series compatible but no mention of the Pixel 6 line.

Because to some people only Apple exists and marketing material MUST mention Apple. All other OEMs are an afterthought.
Luckily, all other OEMs also aren't Apple, hence they tend to prefer standards over proprietary crap, so 99% of the time you can assume that accessories will work anyway.

Question Anyone else having a **** time with wireless charging?

First off: love this phone. Already selling my S21 Ultra. However, I found an issue that seems specific to the Pixel 6 Pro.
I have a ton of wireless chargers but most don't seem to push enough juice to even charge this phone. Which is weird, because they are capable of pushing at least 9W but in most cases, they don't even push 5W to the phone, even when the battery is <25%.
I have one fancy charger (moshi Sette Q) which can push 15W per coil--there I can max out at the Pixel's rated 12W if the phone is cool, but only until the battery hits 90 deg F. Once it exceeds that, the charging rate drops down to 7.5W or lower, and the predicted time to full charge more than doubles. Coincidentally it seems to hit that 90 degrees within mere minutes of starting the wireless charge. I'm measuring battery temp (not power) using AccuBattery, and power using various USB meters.
The same chargers, power bricks, cables push their max wattage to the S21 Ultra even if the Ultra is >50% charge. And just for kicks I tried my girl's iPhone 13 mini and it instantly hit its max charging power w/o MagSafe (10W, from what I can see). In other words, there's no specific evidence that there's any issue with my power bricks, cables, or wireless chargers. All are reputably branded and genuine parts and if they work with both the S21 Ultra and the iPhone 13 mini then you can probably rest assured they are not the problem.
So, it seems like the Pixel 6 Pro is doing some severe thermal throttling when wireless charging, and the upshot is that you barely ever get the full 12W Qi charging capability of the phone, and most of the time you end up charging at <7.5W.
Anyone else seeing this? If you're charging wirelessly, how's the experience? Does your battery hit 90 F in no time at all? Does it start to reduce Qi charging current once it hits ~90F?
If other folks are having a fine time wireless charging this phone, and you're getting that full 12W on the reg, I guess it's possible that I have a bum phone. Let me know what charger(s) you're using. But if you haven't noticed a problem yet, you might want to pay closer attention to your charging speeds to see if you're seeing the same thermal throttling.
If it's not just a bum phone, then this seems like a major issue. Big enough to force Google to delay the launch of their next-gen wireless charger, the new Pixel Stand.

I'm using the original Pixel Stand and it seems to be charging at about 14W which is the max it can deliver.
I haven't noticed it getting very warm when charging but then I have been asleep
I have noticed a couple of times, lifting the phone off the charger in the morning, it was slightly warm. AccuBattery said it had been fully charged hours before that.
The phone is in a Spigen Rugged Armour case and I just leave it in it to charge.

I'm using one of THESE and also have AccuBattery Pro.
One thing I found with AcuuBattery is it seems to assume the charging voltage is always 5V
So when I am charging it shows the current as 2.3A x 5V = 12.5W
Whereas the actual charge on the voltmeter shows 1.4A x 9V = 12.5W

Interesting. I just set my phone down at night on a fly-by-night brand qi pad I bought several years ago, and by morning the phone is charged full and ready to go. Don't know, or care, how fast it charges as long as its full by morning. The few times I've had to grab the phone after charging for a while, it hasn't seemed at all warm.
But I'm running on google-free nice clean AOSP. Might be that some of that google spyware is sucking up power faster than you can supply it?

The way I've been doing it is via a USB C power meter which is just in line between the wall wart and the wireless charger.
I also have a USBC cable that has a built-in power meter and I get similar results. Another thing you can do is just put the phone on charger you have, then go into settings and battery and just monitor the time estimate for charging. Do you ever see it advertise upwards of 3 hours of charging time or otherwise jump from something reasonable like 2 hours up to 4 hours?
It seems like there's two main problems. Number one that the wireless charging coils are extremely narrow compared to S21 Ultra. So the sweet spot is super small and difficult to find. Number two. Once the phone hits 90° f, then it is throttling the charging speed. And honestly, I don't know if that's a cooling problem or if that's just an overly conservative algorithm. Either way it's kind of ****ed up to advertise 12W wireless charging and then have this type of experience.

Thanks for the tip. I didn't know about that one. I think the problem here is probably related to the overall charging limitations that the phone has. If you look at the other threads in this form, you can see quite a few that are related to slow charging speeds even when using the wall wart. But still this is extremely disingenuous from Google and straight up inaccurate advertising when it comes to charging speeds.

For those of you who have the old Pixel stand charger, IT WORKS !!!
All I want is a full charge by AM, and it usually gets a lil boost charge when I drive my sprinter.

About to look for a new wireless charger, but now using the 30 watt Google plug and cable and phone charges up faster than any I have owned previously, nearly all galaxies but the 6 Pro is noticably better, wired.
