Hello everyone. My wife and I just received 4.2.2 OTA for our GNEX and we discovered a bug. If you watch a YouTube video in fullscreen mode and receive a call, the video will keep playing (audio). You will see the call prompt, and if you swipe to answer, the audio from the video will keep playing in the ear piece rendering the call useless. Also, after ending the call (which you will have to do), the video will keep playing even with the default stock browser hidden in the background (this part I like). So Google, fix the full screen call bug, but add/keep the feature to keep playing Flash videos when the browser is hidden.
Edit: This is most likely unrelated to 4.2.2. I believe it's a Flash or stock browser bug.

We're running Takju, not that it makes a difference. Chrome doesn't support Flash, so if you are watching YouTube in Chrome, it must be HTML5. That would mean it's a Flash bug I guess. I will test the YouTube app. Thanks for the feedback!
Edit: I just tested the YouTube app and the bug is not present. So this is most likely a Flash bug, and since Flash is no longer officially supported, I don't think we will see a fix for this anytime soon.
Strange

But maybe it can be a bug of flash? I really don't know.
What browser or app are you using to watch flash videos on Android 4.2.2?
ok, We are waiting your feedback.. Your doubts/problem can be the same of many others

Yeah, I think it's a Flash bug. Like you said, the YouTube app doesn't have this problem. I usually watch YouTube videos using the stock browser.

So probably is this..
Thanks for your feedback to us.
Has anyone else experienced this bug using the stock browser?
Anyone else having problems on Android P Beta with taking video in the Google Camera app and it playing in Google Photos with a white haze? The thumbnail shows up with normal color in Google Photos but then when you play the video, it switches to a white haze. Here is a video that is doing this. https://photos.app.goo.gl/gUumk0xMITMZhk9c2
not really noticing anything wrong with the posted video.
It is only happening to videos I took after the upgrade to Android P.
Can't see anything on the video, no idea what your describing
Never mind. It's only happening at my work. Must be the filter doing something weird.
I had that issue until a Google Photos update a day after installing the beta. It's just when playing it back in the Photos app
Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
I can say that every video since Android p puts a white tint layer on my video playback. Thumbnail is fine and also shows normal right before you play the video
I have it as well unfortunately. Every video I play w/ the Google Photo app adds the white haze at this time. Probably just have to use another video player until the update for photos is pushed out or side load the latest version.
I have to state from the start that I've got beta Android P on my phone. So it might be the issue with the beta version of the OS. Still I wonder if anyone else on beta or stable version has this problem.
Basically, I made a video using the footage shot on Galaxy 7 and Kdenlive and it works fine on the laptop and Galaxy 7 but it's massively distorted on my Pixel XL. If I try to post it on Instagram, it comes out also distorted, if you play it on laptop. Please see a screenshot. The sound is fine though.
Any comments?
Retransfer the file and try again. If the file uploaded like that to Instagram as well then it's a problem with the file.
When I'm watching any HDR10 content in landscape on the YouTube app, the display brightness goes haywire and continually goes all the way up and down by itself. It only acts like this when viewing full screen. It does this on both vanced YouTube and the regular app but not when playing directly through the YouTube website. I turned auto brightness off and it still does this. Does anyone else experience the same problem? I own the L29 btw

Thank you! Working great now It didn't have any option besides a codec override toggle. No S8+ or pixel choices but it still solved the problem. Thanks again
Hi, can anyone with android 10 (QDLMIXM) please try this?
1) Play a Youtube video in 720 or 1080p (I use the Vanced app but this isn't even youtube specific afaik, just very clear to see!)
2) NOT FULLSCREEN video (fullscreen seems ok)
3) Adjust the volume and observe video.
Does video playback stay smooth while volume overlay is on screen?
Mine is jerky as hell and I want to know if it's worth trying reset etc before i roll back to 9, which sounds a right pain.
I tried disabling HW GUI in overlay options and that makes things slow all the time, so worse.
This seems related to all the slowdown issues i'm having with 10, with most apps. It's awful!
Makes even typing difficult. Phone ruined basically. Same for everyone or just me?

I tried this just now and it didn't stutter or stop at any point. Video playback and sound stayed smooth as ever on 1080p in the official YouTube app.

Thank you. Right, seemsi've got something messed up with my phone then, might be worth a full reset unless anyone has better ideas what it could be please?
Shame because this is really only issue i've got with 10 (so far...). Thanks for trying that.
This is quite sad. I have the same issues on YouTube (both official and vanced), and severe lag on Reddit, Messenger and Discord, along with Gboard which has killed my typing experience. Nothing but pain on this phone recently.
