boost flashed evo 3g stopped working

Hello, I have an evo 4g that is flashed to boost. Has been working fine the past year an last week 3g stopped working. The icon is lit up but it seems that it does not work.Internal apps in the phone recognize if it is on or not either by attempting to work if it is lit up or by giving me the message that I need a data connection if it is not lit up. Tried rebooting-battery out and back in, tried uninstalling-reinstalling ROM(which is SS_Ultra) still no 3g. Wireless does work fine. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello Roseypat...First I would dial ##33284# and then click "Data Status" and at the very top Where it says IP Address: after that does it say EVDO Rev A (with numbers like this 170.356.123.for example: EvDo Rev A 170.123.456.789.....or after the IP Address: does it say this 1xrtt 170.123.456.789) Also, below that it will say "Last Data Error:" if it says no data thats fine, but if it has a code what was it? This will at least tell us if you have a data connection and whether it is 3g(EvDo) or 1xrtt(2g)....Because you say that the 3g symbol is there it has to have a data connection...And the blinking your referring to is indicating that it is sending or receiving data.
That being said, this usually is related to a bad app downloaded or updated right around the time that it quit working...The first thing I would do is switch it to the stock rom if possible...But either way, I'm betting if you do a Factory Data Reset on your device(which will not effect the flash it will only erase all of the users inputs and data(ie apps, etc)....I just had someone with this exact issue and the Factory Data Reset fixed it back to normal. You can find this in the Storage section of the settings menu(at least on the stock rom anyways)...Btw, just to be safe, I would remove your sd card before you do the factory data reset. Good Luck.

[Q] Mobile data "disconnected because radio was turned off"

Recently my phone (HTC One X on 3 network) loses its mobile data connection. This happens very frequently, infact its off as much as its on.
When the connection drops out, in settings under mobile data it says.. "disconnected because radio was turned off" it still appears I have an H and bars on my signal however if I reboot the message changes to "disconnected because service is unavailable" and then there are no bars and an x. Mobile data will connect after a while but then drops out soon after with the same messages. Airplane mode is not on.
I have tried unchecking fast reboot, taking out the sim for over 15 minutes, factory reset, clearing data on google services, I rang 3 and they were as useless as always. She said she refreshed my services and made me confirm the apn was correct.
I have tried every solution I can find on google.
Any ideas please?
ffs this phone is such a pos. Guess its back to the shop to send it off yet again. First and last HTC I'll ever have.

Wifi Authentication Problem

I am on 6.0.1 stock rooted. Wifi was working fine but it would face occasional cutoff or drop i.e my wifi logo would disappear leaving only my mobile data on for approximately 15-20s, 3-4 times a day at random intervals.
I decided to forget both networks (2.4 and 5.0) and connect back both. Instead, I am getting a wifi authentication problem, unable to connect back at all.
-Passwords are correct, double checked it.
-Rebooted router
-Cleared cache from settings and dalvik/cache within twrp
-Did a google and realize it's a common problem, followed this linkhttps://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=78702#c78 post #78. Nothing's working still.
Help? I'm stuck on mobile data for now damm. My computer and other phones connect just fine to my router.

SIM card detected, but "Emergency Calls Only"

Hi. Recently, my signal bars on my phone went blank and I can't get my signal back. I tried to remove/reinsert my SIM card and after a few tries, my phone stopped detecting it altogether. I got a new SIM card, but the problem still persists. Searching for service providers gives several results, but all of them are "unavailable at the moment". Factory reset didn't help either. Please help

If it was working fine and you didn't change anything and all of a sudden you just get no signal, I would first call your service provider and have them check it out, and if they say everything's OK, you should get a new sim, and have them switch the number to it, and if that doesn't work, it's probably a hw failure. The only things you could check on the phone is if you accidentally switched data off, or hit airplane mode, etc.

Airplane mode is off, data is on. I already got a new SIM, but the problem persists. Sadly, I'm not sure I can call my service provider, since I'm studying abroad and I'm yet to learn the language. And I'm really hoping it's not the hardware, it shouldn't be. Also, I don't have signal bars

Not getting notifications via mobile data

Hi,
*Message edited now that I've done more testing *
Got a weird problem with mobile data on my Z1C:
If I'm on the cell network with no wifi, I don't get any notifications for Gmail, WhatsApp etc. As soon as I reconnect to wifi a bunch of notifications flood in. Data and notifications work normally on wifi and in an open app. I have a 2GB data plan and use <20% of this.
The exact same thing happens with my Vodafone UK SIM and Asda (EE) PAYG SIM, and when booted into Safe Mode.
Restrict Background Data is NOT set - neither the global setting nor the app-specific setting. "Set mobile data limit" is NOT set.
If I put either SIM into a different device, I receive my notifications fine.
I have tried re-downloading my Internet Settings from the "wireless and networks" screen and messed about with the Voda APN - followed Voda's online instructions and found some alternative ones online (e..g use the Internet APN rather than WAP one) but no change.
I used this phone successfully on O2 for two years and never had any trouble with data. I have recently (after leaving O2) rebuilt the phone to install new power flex and new screen - might that be related? I saw a post from someone who said his Z1C data connection keeps dropping and the only way to bring it back is to reseat the SIM multiple times.
The device isn't rooted and has never had Greenify installed.
I'm on KitKat.
Any suggestions please?
Update:
I never found a fix to this so ended up doing a factory data reset, which fixed the problem.
