I see all these threads for "v410," "v400," etc. How do I check which one I have? It's the LG G Pad 5 10.1 FHD, Model LM-T600TS from T-Moble, with Android 9 preinstalled, which was just released in late March.
Been over a year and no response to this. Wow.

Hello,
I see a lot of work being done in Original Android Development and that is really exacting to see!
I'm planing to buy a new smartphone and I was waiting to see what the Note 3 has to bring to the table, and I don't think we need 3gb of ram in any near future, and Super Amoled on Note 3 is pentile.
So for me there are only 2 options Note II or G Pro. I really like the G Pro because of Full HD screen, 13mpx camera, and Snapdragon 600 processor.
No matter what phone will I buy I will install custom rom on it (Pure Android AOSP, cm10.1 / 2...)
Now I have one question for you and one request;
Do you believe that G Pro will get fully stable 4.3 rom, and as far as the roms are at the moment are they fluid, and fast? I would totally buy Nexus device but it has to small screen for me, so speed and fluidity is a factor for me. Note II has Exynos processor but we all know how is Samsung with the source release, they just don't release it so the Note II will newer get used to the full potential...
How is LG in that department?
And I have one request. Can someone make a video of any pure Android based rom running on G Pro, so i can see that phone in action?
Thank you from hope to be soon user of G Pro!
even when I'm typing this, we're already having SlimBean 4.3 Beta. that's we can stay pretty stable. But what version u gonna buy? that's the big question. Development is in quicker pace fro E980 version, but the pace is still very slow (or can I say no go) for other variants such as E988. So, check out which version is compatible with the carrier you're using, and how many custom roms available for that version of handset. just my 2 cents
Hey there,
I am going to buy my first tablet and I am not sure which one to choose. In Italy, 32GB nexus 7 is 190 euros, and G Pad 8.3 is 180 (very cheap).
Which one should I go for? Is the LG g pad supported many developers (I like modding)?

As for Modding Nexus devices are the way to go
Both of them offer similar experiences but go for the nexus if you prefer stock android and a more polished feel
Nexus 7
I am currently using the Nexus 7 (2013). Thus is my second nexus tablet. I can honestly say that you CAN NOT go wrong with this device. It is exceptionally built and very fast.
If you're interested in Rooting and Custom Roming, it can't be any easier with the N7.
Good luck
I'm afraid that 7 inches are just too little for a tablet, what do you think?

So a rumor about a historically sketchy company when it comes to updates.. Yeah, I wouldn't hold my breath for a quick update. If one ever arrives it will likely be months if not half a year. By then, Lollipop 5.1 or 5.2 is probably out and it's already outdated again.
Yeah I have a Galaxy Note 10.1 gt n8013. The official firmware for that is still 4.1.2 there was a big announcement for kit Kat for the note it said "select carrier variants" well that was true. It wasn't a carrier variant and it didn't get selected.

Yeah, I would say there is a reasonable chance of Lollipop, likely after Mallomor has already been announced.

Me too, using touch wiz or my third party launcher I see no difference in anything ...isnt there a folder somewhere showing latest updates / downloads ?
I got this tablet for Christmas a few years ago and it came from Best Buy. Does that mean I have the v500? I think it only got one or two updates from LG and I basically gave it to my daughter so she could watch Netflix. It's been a while so I was wondering if anyone could give me a update of where this tablet is. Are there any decent Nouget roms that are worth installing. This tablet just seems slow and since my daughter uses it for the most part, I was thinking about wiping it and installing something other than the stock rom to see if that would improve performance.
The model of the tablet all bf in Settings / About / Hardware. There are three variants of the G Pad 8.3: VK810, V500 and V510. All other models of G Pads in these sections are something other than the G Pad 8.3.
I put my VK810 back on KitKat because Lollipop 5.0.x is to slow, they never offered 5.1 or 6.x for this variant. All variants are different.
I am wondering if there will be any development for this tablet in the future, because I am thinking between the mipad 4 and 5.
They both have Snapdragon cpu so they will have the same development at the future right?
Thanks !!
Pad 4 is dead, don't waste your money. Pad 5 is ok, developement is slow but it will end up arriving. It's not a "new" device, but it's very okey, it will recieve android 13 and MIUI 14/15
Or wait until pad 6 release.
More Xiaomi Pad 6 series details revealed including a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 model
More information has now been revealed about Xiaomi's upcoming tablet lineup, the Xiaomi Pad 6 series. Apparently, the Chinese company is lining up the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 for one of the devices in the lineup, with that model likely to be the 14-inch tablet rumored to rival the Samsung Galaxy Tab...

I finally bought a Pad 5 for 250 plus 2 covers. Anyway once 6 is released it will take also some time to have ROM development.
