Tiny 1MM sensor in top left of screen? - Samsung Galaxy S20 / S20+ / S20 Ultra Questions &

Anyone notice a time 1mm sensor or something under the screen in the top left. It's 1cm from the left of the phone, and 1mm from the top. Is it the light sensor?

Hello
It just appeared on my phone ! It was invisible before

It doesn't react to light so it is not light sensor

Looks software because it disapeared

Proximity sensor's replacement
It always appear when the call is being made using the earpiece . It behaves like a proximity sensor to turn off the screen. Try placing a finger on that pixel during a call and you will see what I mean.
Nothig to worry about there.

[Q] Failed screen repair attempt and questions

I recently attempted to repair my cracked front glass (touch screen was completely working).
I didn't heat the glass using a dryer or glue gun because I have seen a person doing a video on YouTube recommending not to heat the glue as it dries fast and it actually makes the glue harder to remove. Half way through the repair, touch was still working. Every thing was. So I got excited and accidentally nicked the screen. Since it wasn't working anymore (first white screen while I was doing the repair, then went half white/black, then when I turned it off/on again everything was black -- I could still receive calls) I decide to remove it altogether. Didn't know there was a hard to remove residue under it, but anyway I succeeded removing it.
I tried turning it on with the screen removed (also removed the connector to the motherboard) and I got a boot loop (felt vibrations again and again). Is this normal? I assume it is because no screen was connected. This is the current state of my device:
https://plus.google.com/u/0/photos/114981610862902277332/albums/5848428825750128241
If you notice in the third pic, I also nicked a small part of the black portion of the back, where the circuits of the screen are placed. Anyway I want to ask if I can still purchase a $130 digitizer+screen replacement and attach it again, and do I need some kind of adhesive similar to the one I removed? Or is my device gone for good?
I'm planning to give this to my father if it can still be fixed.
Why Did you repaired your urself ??

Impossible to get support for Galaxy Nexus here in my country. I could have asked technicians or more hardware-techie people to do the job, but I figured based on the amount of people who did it successfully, I could have probably done it myself. Half way I was still doing good but got too excited so I broke it :/
Thanks
Edit: It seems the site you linked to does not have a screen+digitizer part available.
I've found the following parts on eBay:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Full-LCD-di...909?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1c288bc915
http://www.ebay.com/itm/LCD-Touch-D...846?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item564c51c966
Is this the correct part? I still have the front glass part I ordered for my repair attempt, if these do not come with it.

actually im living in GULF very high Humidity and temp 49 C., maybe this cause the issue?
I have the same issue. Did you solved?
I had that. It went away after I dropped my phone. I assume it was a speck of dust within the lens housing.
This is a dust on the sensor. Known issue in DSLR cameras.

Did you find a solution to this? I had this problem and LG replaced the camera module for me but the spot is still there at the exact same location.

How do you guys manage dirt/grime on the fingerprint sensor?

Hi, so I just got a Z2 Plus, it's been pretty great so far, but the fingerprint sensor is pretty annoying. If it's even a little bit dirty or my hands are just a little moist from sweat, it will refuse to detect my fingerprints, until I clean both of them off. This is rather annoying. My previous phone (Redmi Note 3) had a metal sensor so fingerprints didn't accumulate - the sensor on the Z2 Plus looks to be glass, and it's very prone to gathering fingerprints and dirt. Any tips?
I guess thats just how it is ?

the best way ever is to use a piece of transparent tape, works wonders, it prevents 90% read error, trust me

I guess it will cause more errors and less accuracy due to another layer of material... Anyways... Please do let us know if it really works

Yeah i thought it too , till one day I resolved to test a transparent plastic and it worked normally, im telling you, Im usingit, and almost never fails, it only doesnt work if you wet your fingertip,(confirmed) try and tell me, thank me later, forget about the layer over the sensor, it doesnt matter, just like a screen protector it has to be real flat on the sensor
Having sweaty hands heres the math behind: no transparent tape: 100% accuracy-60% more smudges and dirt=40% pratical
With transparent tape 97-ish% -10% smudges and dirt= 87% pratical

Is there a way to post a video here? I could show you guys how awesome a plastic tape is

it sure is, I sometimeshave real sweaty hands, thats how I got this idea
I have the same problem, slightest bit of grease on the fingerprint sensor and it won't take a reading. Maybe a bit of tape is the answer to this annoying issue.
Interesting.. Cause my fingerprints get detected even when it's kinda wet.
How to manage dirt or spots on finger print reader?
Below is my method, I know, most won't agree with me but it works for me.
Simply I don't use it when I am outside and have a dirty hand / fingers !!
Mainly I use finger print reader while I am driving or in indoor location with clean finger tips, like home/office.

Speaker grill adhesive detached

So I've just noticed this today, but my bottom speaker grill is not even attached on one side anymore. The adhesive on this side seems to have just given up and I can see inside the phone, a small gap, but the only thing holding this speaker grill in place is the left side adhesive. I plan to just use some tweezers and super glue to reattach the grill again, but was wondering if anyone else had experienced this?
Same here, it's completely free in the bottom

Dear community,
I am having this issue with my galaxy fold. I have been using the fold for almost 5 months hand I started to notice that the screen where I usually use my thumb to navigate through the os is scratched and not the same feel like the rest of the screen. I know that Samsung said that we should not use a screen protector but, damn!
It is so annoying when I notice it. Which is 24/7 by now
Are there any workarounds that are safe to do?
Best regards
