I've had this problem before on my Nvidia Shield. For me the problem was (after a ****load of research) was the fact that I had a 3rd party app store installed on my device. If you have a 3rd party app store installed uninstall it. You can also try to clear the cache and data from the PlayStore apk.

No 3rd party app store. I'll try clearing the cache.

You have play store updating on data and you have wifi on or you have play store updating on wifi only and wifi off.

It worked after I uninstalled and then re installed the apps.

[Q] Unable to Purchase Apps from Google Store

Since getting on Freeza JB or Blazer JB builds, I havent been able to purchase any apps. Everytime I try it says, "can't connect to Google Servers". Is Google servers having an issue or is this a JB issue?
I just bought something to try it. Worked fine for me. You owe me 1.49
Go to Settings, Application Manager, then scroll down to the Play Store. Clear Data and Cache then reboot. Should fix it

[Q][Solved] Preinstalled apps won't show in Play Store and Application manager

Edit: Problem solved itself over time.
Hello everyone.
Like mentioned in the title the tablet only shows apps under my Apps in the Play Store, I downloaded or updated manually in the Play Store. It also doesn't show preinstalled Apps like Chrome,Gmaps or YouTube in the Application manager, unless I looked them up and manually update them in the Play Store. I had exactly the same problem yesterday with an Samsung Galaxy Trend (GT-S7560), but after some messing around and several restarts the apps suddenly showed up and everything worked fine then. Sadly I don't know what fixed it on the phone. Does anybody have an idea how to fix this problem? It isn't a huge problem, but with all the Android devices I set up, I never encountered this except with these two Samsung devices.
Many Thanks in advance!

Sorry forgot to mention that I already tried it, sadly, without success. It was one of the last things I did before it worked on the phone, didn't worked on the tablet yet.
What play store version do you have?
Sent from my GT-P6210 using Tapatalk
The problem solved itself again! Just as I went to look up the Play Store version (4.5.10 btw.), the apps appeared under the "All" category and in the Application manager, could update them and everything works fine now. Really strange that this occurred with two Samsung devices on two following days. Thanks anyway for your help!
Nice!!

Not able to download/update apps from Play Store.

I got my Honor 8 Pro exactly 1 week ago and just yesterday I started having this issue where I'm not able to download and update apps from the Play Store.
When I click 'install' button it says downloading but nothing really happens. I have tried clearing the cache & data, restarted the phone and all sorts of things, but it doesn't seem to work.
Anyone else having this problem?
__________
EDIT:
Issue fixed : uninstall truecaller, use Honor 8 Pro's stock Launcher and restart phone. No idea why this happens but at least it's fixed.
Maybe your Google Play Services just received an update. That's what happens when it updates.

Tapzo was the culprit app, had to delete it and clear cache etc, started working ok now.
This might help:
Go to settings - Advance settings - Backup and Reset- Network settings reset
Should resume downloads.
In some cases, uninstalling truecaller and/or tapzo might help
What worked for me was uninstalling Play Store, and downloading the latest Google Play Services and Play Store apks from apkmirror.

Yes this works for me all time
Uninstalling truecaller and rebooting the phone indeed worked, but on installing truecaller again the playstore install/update issue is back.
Any one has a better solution? I'm not able to use truecaller and playstore together.

Temporary solution after lots of logs sent to R&D team.
Go to Settings- battery - lock screen clean up.
Untick all apps (Close all option must be greyed out).
Switch on Airplane Mode for 15 seconds . Turn it off.
Turn on WiFi and downloads should resume automatically .
The issue got resolved after B140 update. No more apps update/download pending issue.
So they were able to fix it.
Have you tried clearing the Cache files in the internal storage and rebooting your device? Sometimes that will solve your issue.

Updates on Google Play hang at 100%

Over the last few weeks I've noticed that when I manually update my apps after it downloads it hangs at 100% from anywhere to 15 seconds to 60 seconds. I had been wondering why it's taking so long to update apps lately.
Anyone know what's going on and how to fix?
Have you tried closing/opening play store or clearing data/cache? I have not experienced that on stock Oreo or DP2.

I cleared cache but not data.
I just force closed Google Play and wiped data and cache. The first app updated without hanging up. All others hung up at 100%.

What launcher do you use? Deafult, Nova???
Similar issue reported time and again in multiple devices. The majority concluded it to be due to adding shortcut to home functionality which ideally should not be triggered for existing app update. I would suggest to check with different launchers or disable add shortcut to home and try if the issue still persist.
I dont have such issue faced either on Oreo or P beta. I use total launcher though not the default one.

Did you happened to have installed microG?
I had that installed once (twice to be exact, just to verify) for modded youtube app... it messes up my play store as a whole... crash and hangs here and there... had to wipe the phone in order to restore it to usable state.
*also try using another wifi hotspot, or restart your router. My workplace network monitors and filters data, it corrupts my download every so often... but when I am home, they update just fine.

I cleared data on the Google Play Store app.
It seems that after a long period of time, the first app doesn't hang but then after the first one, it hangs up.
I just force closed the app and cleared data and cache. The first app I updated hung up at 100%.
This happened on wifi and on carrier data.
It happens on apps less that 5mb and large ones too.
I'm on stock 8.1 with the May update.
I always sideload updates and with Magisk and EX kernel.

Play Store Crashing

Has anyone started experiencing this within the last few days? I generally know my way around Android, and I've tried several troubleshooting steps, which I'll outline below, but to no avail. It's random, but persistent, with no recent updates to the system.
•Tried clearing phone cache from bootloader.
•Tried force-closing Play Store + Play Services, and clearing cache for both.
•Tried booting to safe mode, it still happens.
•The only recent app I've installed is for a Ravpower portable filehub/router. Note: no crashing occurred after this app was installed.
•Tried removing all updates for both aforementioned apps, and allowing them to reinstall the current version.
•Tried installing and running 2 different apps that provide analysis on version and other potential conflicts for Play Store/Services, ran all applicable items.
The obvious statement to make is that I'm hoping to avoid a factory reset. I loathe all the work after restoring what's available between Google and Samsung backups. If anyone has any pro tips, please enlighten me!
Edit: this is the 5G variant, carrier is AT&T, and firmware is N976USQS2BTE3.

Drat. It seemed to have worked for me, because the play store was crashing again after I reset my phone, as soon as I'd reinstalled a few unsanctioned APKs.

I am running the most recent store, and all is fine, something else must be the issue
I figured it out. It was a rogue app trying to auto update over wifi while I was on mobile data but the play store wouldn't let me see what app it was.
Good to see you found the cause, btw, which app caused the trouble? Just to be aware of it
Circling back to this. The issue has returned for me, and having already gone through the painstaking process of resetting my phone, and reinstalling everything, I have two theories but can really only test one of them reliably:
1. VPN - I use ExpressVPN, and I noticed that sometimes the Play Store crashes in a never ending fashion and sometimes I can go hours or more without it happening. This could be due to my VPN preventing some kind of connection, maybe? Despite the fact that the Play Store opens fine, and will even allow me to scan for updates and begin to apply them if I'm quick enough before it crashes. *I'm testing this theory now by trying different tunnels within ExpressVPN*
2. An application. Without divulging more than I care to, I definitely have apps that can't be found in the Play Store. They're plenty safe, but I could see there potentially being conflict there somehow in terms of Play Store maybe trying to reconcile them when it's compiling apps. This would be almost impossible to troubleshoot without uninstalling all non-Play Store apps, then reinstalling one by one, waiting several hours, then repeating the process until an app is installed that once again causes Play Store to crash.
Another update: among the items I've tried this morning, I can effectively eliminate the VPN theory that I previously posted. I discovered it didn't matter if I was connected to VPN or not. I also discovered that the YouTube Vanced application was likely the culprit, as once I unlinked and relinked my Google account within it, the Play Store doesn't seem to be constantly crashing. Time will tell, as I don't know if this actually fixed it, or if it's just coincidence. Something for others to check on, if they happen to use the YouTube vanced application.
One of the other things I did was to follow the instructions on the Google support page that outlines how to troubleshoot Play Store crashing. This included removing all updates to the Play Store, and allowing it to update itself again. So, I'm not sure if that had anything to do with the crashing ceasing either.
