Today Disney+ launched in my Region and I was keen to try it out.
Unfortunately I couldn't.
I received a cryptic "Error 39" trying to play back anything.
I then found that Netflix doesn't work either (Stuck loading anything),
Prime Video was the most helpful throwing a "Decryption Failure"
The phone passed Safetynet and shows Widevine L1. Any suggestion how to fix this?
As a workaround, I found the liboemcrypto disabler which restored partial functionality. With this Module I can watch all three Services, but Widevine Level changes to L3 and I therefore get a max resolution of 540p.
Is this just the state of play in 2020 or on Android 10?
I don't have any problem on my rooted P20 Pro (Android 9, Full HD).
Given your P20 Pro is unaffected, it probably has to do with Samsung Knox even though it passes Safeynet.
Any news on this? Is it possible to keep an S20+ Ultra 5G (european) on Widevine L1 with unlocked bootloader a Magisk Root? And working netflix-like apps?
Thanks in advance.

Not that I am aware. I have since sold the Phone, and gotten it back with bad ebay feedback after the buyer complained to Paypal that the phone was broken because Samsung Pass didn't work - despite me clearly writing that I have unlocked the Bootloader and tripped Knox in the description
Now attempting to sell it again. I don't want a phone without Call Recorder and Widevine Level 1, so Samsung is no longer an option for me.

We know that Netflix has disappeared form the play store for those of us running custom Roms, but there have been workarounds. What I have been unable to work around is Vudu.
I suspect it is complaining of the Widevine L3 (no root but unlocked bootloader automatically sets to L3), but it has stopped logging in (works on my stock pixel) and I cannot get a response from support.
I suppose my only surefire way to get everything back to 100% is to do a full revert to stock.
Very displeased with the way the DRM is ruining our tablets...
I know some are heading to MoviesAnywhere (which does work - for now), but my tv shows don't port there.
As metioned in that title, does anyone know for sure if the pixel XL supports Widevine L1 DRM? According to the app DRM info, my pixel XL does not. That seems odd for a phone coming from Google. Seeing that and not really using root let to me going back full stock (was using stock + magidk + unlocked bootloader before but now stock and locked). No change though and the DRM info app still shows Widevine LET. Not a major issue right now but it bothers me more that it doesn't appear to support the proper DRM protection than anything else.
Anyone able to at least check this on their unrooted pixel XL phones?
I noticed that I was unable to play HD content on Netflix or Amazon Prime Video apps. Downloaded DRM info app to check widevine security level and it shows L3 instead of L1 which is required to stream HD content. I tried to contact Samsung but they weren't helpful.
I have a s9 G960U1 Snapdragon and have never tried rooting or anything (I know it's not possible to root Snapdragon S9). Knox is good too. So I don't know how I don't have L1.

widevine L1 L2 and L3 are merely levels of DRM security, level 3 being the lowest. Is this happening on everything you stream? do you have a good data connection when this happens?

I am not even getting the HD logo on Netflix app and I even tried out the Test Patterns on Netflix and it maxes out at 540p.
And yes i have a good data connection (able to stream 1440p on Youtube without buffering).

just making sure that wasnt the culprit, obviously being able to stream such a high def feed eliminates a data issue on your end. have you tried logging in to netflix on a different device and seeing if it is extant?
Yes I'm able to stream HD on other devices as I have the Ultra HD plan. Actually I am unable to stream HD content on Amazon Prime Video also. So it's definitely a DRM issue.

No, it isnt. AFAIK it isnt even possible to root US Snapdragon S9s.
I submitted an error report on Samsung Members app. They told "The reason why it got changed to L3 is deletion of widevine keys from the device. It can be due to some unauthorized binary installation or some code related error."

Title.
My Pixel Watch is supposed to be delivered tomorrow and I was thinking about this today. I'm running stock rooted Android 13 QPR2 on my Pixel 6 Pro. My phone passes SafetyNet attestation according to YASNAC (Basic Integrity: Pass, CTS profile match: Pass, Evaluation Type: Basic) but Google Pay doesn't work on the phone. Just wondering if it's possible for Pay to work on the Watch if it's attached to this phone.

I know Wallet opens just fine and brings my card up. Have not yet tried in the store to see if it actually works. I do have first hand knowledge withe the 6 Po and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. For a while I couldn't pass safetynet on my phone but was still able to use Gpay on my watch. That's promising and at least leads me to hope that it would.
When you say Google Pay doesn't work on your phone do you mean everything works until you get to the point where you pay. or that gpay tells you that you can't use it? Just curious as I have it set up on my 7 Pro, just haven't had the chance to use it yet.

It all seems like it should work fine on my phone, but it always fails when I try to pay in a store with it..
yes, I am using both and they work. As long as you use the safetynet fix magisk module to hide magisk detection

Awesome. Thanks for the info. I am using that module, so hopefully I'm good to go.
Are you referring to the kdragon module? I can confirm I was able to add my card to the watch but it declined at the register. Would love to get this working if that's the right module.
Most likely after the latest update, Google Play started reporting to me on my Galaxy S22 that the device is not certified, and I cannot make payments through Google Wallet. Has anyone had a similar issue?

I've come across at least one other post complaining of the same thing. There seems to be a CTS profile issue with the latest update. I assume you aren't unlocked and rooted?
I don't have root or any other modifications. I just changed the CSC when I bought the phone (a year ago) so that I could record calls.
Go to Developers Options and ENABLE OEM bootloader.
Restart phone.
Go to options and DISABLE the very same option.
