Hello,
I have tried some film protectors, and at first they work excellent, but after around 2-3 months of use, the screen becomes very unpleasant to interact with
It's like it gets sticky or rough, makes it feel "dirty". As soon as I put new one, it becomes again smooth. I wonder if you have noticed the same
It seems like a different phone after changing actually
Can you recommend some specific film? (I prefer it before glass, but can consider it too)
Many thanks

I have no experience with film protectors, but I have had the same tempered glass protector on my phone for 5 years with no problems. The glass ones are much easier to install and remove than film.
Do you clean the film? If yes, with which cleaner.
Never noticed any stickyness with my protectors whether glass, PET film or flexible film (wet applied). Although the last kind feels a bit rubbery.

I just clean with normal hand soap from time to time
Is there any other cleaning recommendation?
Thank you

Should be fine. Normally I use Whoosh or some LCD cleaner. Reason I asked is because I read that alcohol affects the oleophobic coating on screens/protectors.
But maybe it is just that the coating wears off. It isn't forever. Because of the smooth feel I prefer glass. Although the plastic film protectors with glass top layer (Brotect Airglass/Dbrand Prism) are fine too.

I suspect the hand soap is causing your problem. Many repair shops recommend cleaning with only distilled water and a micro-fiber cloth. If necessary, add a little vinegar.
Ok understood, thank you for your answers!

I use this stuff. It works great! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015NIXAN2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_image?ie=UTF8&psc=1
On my Pixel 3 I use a Caseology GSP and my cleaning agent of choice is Whoosh.
Just as smooth as when applied for the first time.

I use an IQ Shield film from Amzn. It's been on my phone for 2+ years. It's excellent against fingerprints. Has a great, smooth feel. Self heals blemishes. Case friendly. Easy install. Best skin I've ever used.
Maybe you can use liquid screen protector on top of your tempered glass to restore the smooth oleophobic coating as well.

I only can say that the better protector films that we can have is the official of Elephone.... The protector case.. The official too.. In this moment the better than we can have.. And we have It free in the box of the Elephone..

True ! This one in PTU is nearly perfect, maybe just a bit too thick around the screen (so this is reducing the bezel less effect).
One thing truely nice would be to have just something for the back, such as heli tape said one member here. That's the element on the S7 that sucks.
Does anyone have a tempered glass that fits well?
Enviado desde mi S7 mediante Tapatalk
Elephones S7 own screen protector
Elephones own screen protector fits well, but it is so hard to get it fitted correctly, once on it will protect the whole screen, but it is expensive at 10$
I bought the holder also, but it does not look nice, the plastic one provided is better

I am still looking for one too. Ordered one from Everbuying which was clearly described as 9H tempered glass but I just got it and it is plastic film, same as came on the phone. I found one on Aliexpress which insists it is glass and also warns that it will not give full coverage because of the curve so with that honesty I am hoping it will actually be glass. Ordered but it will be at least two months in shipping. It is hard to live with plastic after having glass on my P8000 which is so easy to keep clean and shiny. Hope someone has a lead on a good glass source.
I received two of the above mentioned glass protectors and my first attempt to install today. Not a good job and the edges lifted. Also the seller does caution that it only covers the flat part of the screen so it actually looks terrible with the lines each side. Have a couple of Samsung S7 edge protectors to try also but I think they are too curved and will not stick in the middle. Will also need to trim the Elephone s-view case to try it so holding off for a while. They will cover the front camera but not too worried about that.
Installed the Bodyguardz Pure Arc yesterday and everything went smooth and looks perfect. If you buy this make sure it has the "Express Align Tray" sticker on the front. It makes for an easy, perfect install.
I will wait a few hours before trying any cases. Here are a couple pictures of the packaging and protector on the phone.
I already know that it's way overpriced, has the dot matrix on the screen, only has adhesive on the top, bottom and thin sides. I'm just trying different protectors and wanted to share my experience.
If this protector stays like it is today, I'll be a happy camper.
First case try with the Arc is the UAG Rust Pathfinder and it's a perfect fit. If this case fits I believe most any case will work as the Pathfinder has some of the fattest lips, top & bottom of any case.
Bodyguardz Pure Arch works great with the UAG Monarch.
Very nice. Does the centre lift at all from the screen because of lack of adhesive when it's on the sides, top and bottom? I've read elsewhere it can.
And to go with that question, any touch latency issues?

The center does not lift one bit and the touch sensitivity 100% spot on.
The oleophobic coating on this protector is buttery smooth, way better than the naked glass of the phone it's self.

That's good. I saw a few reviews saying it's not great and that it has touch sensitivity issues, especially when comparing it to the Whitestone dome screen protector.

I'm passing on the Whitestone Dome as I'm not too crazy about curing glue on the face of my device.
Also after the Whitestone has been on your phone for several months how hard will it be to remove.
I'm using the D&P Screen Protector on my S8+ and it's almost identical to this -- It also came with a nice back protector skin.

Read up on UV loca glue. Time has no bearing on how hard it is to get off. It's cured with UV light. So mins or months after it sets it'll be the same. And it peels off like a film protector.
Actually, in the YouTube review I watched the guy was replacing a Bodyguardz arc with the Whitestone and he said it felt a lot better and more positive than the bodyguardz. Subjective I suppose.
I would love if I could get the Whitestone here in Ireland but I can't so I went with the Spigen Neo Flex for now.

Thanks, I'll have a look.
As the title says guys. I am sad and frustrated. I know a perfect glass screen protector does not exist. So after spending tons of money in different film protector I am starting to believe, this doesn't exist either. Each and every film protector has a graininess, a matte look which becomes very obvious in white background. And this is something I absolutely hate. I spent my hard earned money on this phone. And my selling point was the gorgeous display. But it seems I either have to go for protection or display quality. Help me out guys. Tell me that a film protector with absolute clarity, devoid of the disgusting graininess exist. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Following, I am in the same boat
Have you tried Whitestone Dome Glass yet? That's the absolute thing. There are only 4 shortcomings so far (1. dust magnet at the edge (not the screen area, just the edge of the glass protector itself) 2. if you try to clean the sticky dust at the edge, you end up shaving out the glue 3. Very expensive 4. Takes too many steps to apply).
After wasting money with the crappy Zagg Glass ...I tried OTAO and I am super happy with it. For 10 bucks u could do much worse....it hasn't come off yet and makes a full seal so dirt doesn't get in. It also doesnt have any clicking sound issues....nor the rainbow effect.

I second that! it is the best!
I bought the Ounier Full Coverage Bubble-Free Screen Protector as it was one of the first brands to come up when searching for screen protectors for Samsung Galaxy S9. My phone is fairly new and I needed to have it fully protected first before I include it in my busy daily routine. I’m the kind of person who chooses convenience over price, but as this product was recommended by a friend (for his S8), I gave it a chance. Besides, It’s really great that the pack has 2 screen protectors; the easier to change, the better. I’ve also had bad experiences with other screen protectors for my old phones as they sometimes hinder with some of the phone’s features, like the double tap, the sensors, etc. Since my friend can’t recall any troubles at all with this protector, this eased my mind a bit with what it had to offer.
Hi guys,
I recently got the OP5T + bundle with the glass protector.
So I just installed it with multiple tries to align and remove dust(they were already under the protector before I opened them).
I just want to ask if anyone have the same troubles as me.
1. Both edges still has air bubbles that doesn't go away (see images)
2. The protector crops away a minute amount of display. (only on some webpages/apps it's obvious)
Any advice for me, like should I change to a new protector or all protectors are like this?
i have also a dust particile in glass too.after using for 24 hours i removed it and ordered some plastic one like that pre applied.

Yes, I just installed mine (OEM) with a lot of care, but the issue was in the part where you peel off the back of the tempered glass, I saw some glue was left there and now looks like air bubbles but that is happening because there is no glue there, very poor quality tempered glass.
I installed mine perfectly but I had to use tape to remove a lot of dust to get it perfect. You should follow the instructions in their official installation video, you are supposed to use the plastic case that comes with your 5T to help align the protector, if you do that the protector will be aligned perfectly.
I don't have any bubbles anywhere, I do believe yours is defective or you might have damaged it during installation.
The cropped pixels on the sides are expected, yeah it sucks but overall the protector's quality is pretty good, it feels just like the original glass on the phone.
The video is here: https://oneplus.net/ca_en/oneplus-5t-3d-tempered-glass-screen-protector
It indeed feels, and looks, great, after proper installation.
Biggest gripe is the loss of responsiveness though.
Keep on having to double click and swiping the navigation bar down again and again because first touch(es) is/aren't recognized. It's really bad in that regard.
Shame about the price or I would have exchanged it immediately.

Same here. Responsiveness is too low. It some times does not recognize your touch..

They look real nice (just like the 1+ ones), probably install one in a few days.
Hi guys, I just want your opinion.
As we all know, the s9 models are built with glasses in the front and back.
Do you think it's worth to sacrifice quality for protection? I mean, if you use a screen protector, it feels like you are typing on top of a plastic-ish quality, and somehow, your screen sensitivity is a little bit less sensitive even with increased touch sensitivity is on.
So what do you think? Do you use screen protector on your s9? Gorilla glass 5 is tough but maybe when dealing with scratches only, I dont think it can survive a drop.
I love using the phone off-case when Im at home or whenever I feel Im safe using the phone without drops to experience the feeling of this top notch design. And I am currently in dilemma, to whether or not put a screen protector on this guy considering I already have a spigen case.
I am thinking buy this case:

The Whitestone Dome for the S9 is a marvel of itself. It doesnt feel plasticky like all the other protectors that have adhesive only on the edges. Itll be the best 50 bucks you can spend on your S9. I will never use anything else.

I personally think as many others do that Gorilla Glass 5 is less scratch proof than previous versions. When you make glass more shatter resistant, you increase its flexibility and more flexibility, usually equates to softer material.

It surely is, however I already have the Spigen Liquid Air case and so far so good. It fits my screen protector so well.
Has anyone tried Moxie Liquid Screen Protector? (http://screenmoxie.com)
Bought my s9 launch week and decided to give it a try... So far so good. They warranty the screen ($300) if you scratch or break it. Just wondering if anyone's also tried it and what your thoughts or experience with it are.

I am really now in a dilemma whether or not gonna peel this tempered glass on top of gorilla glass 5. Some other users reported gorilla glass 5 is pretty tough when it comes to scratches, just put it in a separate pocket from keys
