I found a GT-S5363 for cheap at a local market so I picked it up and the seller told me it it a Galaxy S so I bought it because I want this phone so much. But what I found out later it isn't it is a phone on O2. So I searched around this forum and only found ones from 2014 and 2013 but I want those themed Android N on CM 8. They said that ROMs on GT-S5360 works on the GT-S5363 but I don't know newer ROMs will work on that device. So here's my questions:
1. Can I install newer ROMs?
2. How's running?
3. Will it brick your device?
Honestly, I don't have much experience with this era of Samsung devices, I started exploring Samsung stuff starting with the S5 that is toasted by now. I do have a S2 that I still don't have time to fix yet so I don't really have an idea of how old Odin work please help me.
I have the same model. It has absolutely the same hardware as the normal GT-5360. The only difference is the home button and the battery cover, which means all Roms for the normal version should work on this phone as well.
BUT: I tried to install some Custom Roms I found here and it didn´t work. It might be that I´ve done a mistake, but if I was you, I would be careful and ask the developers for their help BEFORE you start.
Good luck!

Hello All,
I am using the O2 UK stock ROM for alreadz 2 monthes. now iam wondering if i should try to flash the device with one of the ROMs here.
can anyone tell me if i should do it or not, what is the advantage of flashing a new ROM?
thank you
Mostly to improve performance and stability, also to fix some problems.
All new roms comes with new AKU version, this is something like SP for Windows systems.
before you flash
always read the 1st post or 2 of the rom you are flashing.
all the info you should need is there
this way you won't be back and your next post won't be....
"help i have bricked my diamond"
good luck and have fun!
When you are happy with your phone now, don't flash it.
If you have issues, see if a new rom fixes it.
its all about the speed man!!!
and making it look unique
Flashing always has its small or big issues.
When you don't know what flashing is about anyway, why would he bother?
I first flashed a new ROM with ELFin and the speed was mind-blowing, not to mention the extra free space and RAM. For me, it's a must.
Just make sure enough people have downloaded and commented on its reliability and stability as well as the above (i.e. speed, RAM etc).

If you are happy running your stock O2 rom then just keep it that way & maybe just read up on customizing your phone.
Rom flashing on a £400 phone should only really be done if you know what your doing, so if you do decide to flash a custom rom to your phone then you better get busy reading up on the do's & especially the dont's otherwise you could end up with a £400 brick
read the wiki's
read the tuts/info/ posts on cid/ sim/ security stuff.
read read then read again is my advice, because it's amazing the amount of people that brick their phones just by pure ignorance.
For me it's a no brainer I like modding anything & everything nm just phones hehehe
Any's good luck on which ever you choose to do
It it works and you are happy with it don't flash. It really all depends if there is any thing in the new rom that you want.
Hi guys this is my first Android device after a few years with an iPhone, now have a N7105.
This device is carrier branded in terms of software with what I assume is a custom ROM from the Telco?
Can I flash the phone to the latest stock ROM, an international version? From what I've read the latest Hong Kong ROM would be fine.
Needs to work in Australia on Telstra's 4G network.
Does anybody have a seriously easy to follow guide for this process?
And finally does this process void my warranty? Anyway to avoid that?
Good day newcomer!
First of all, congratulations on your first Android device and a warm welcome into our community. I'm sure you might be sick and tired of the same boring interface offered by all iGadgets and that jailbreaking and carrier locking stuff.
I must assure you that Android might be a teeny-meeny difficult to use for a first time migrator but once you're enlightened with all the processes and jargons, you would surely regret the every penny you spent to own your iPhone.
Now, for all the N7105 related development, you can head over to this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1960
For all the latest stock ROMs head over to: www.sammobile.com/firmware/ Find your model, select the region you want and download the ROM. You can use their guide on how to flash/install stock ROMs, proovided on their website.
Carrier Unlock thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2014982
Flashing stock ROMs doesn't voids your warranty only custom ROMs but you can always revert back to stock ROM making your warranty intact again. But all this could increase your flashing counter which can be resetted using scripts which is currently not available for N7105.
Last but not the least, you can always Google your queries and never call yourself noob in our community.
We are always happy to help you. BEST OF LUCK!
Holala...

^_^ noob? We are all noobs. We came here to learn. But we shld be an active learner here. We help each other.... BUT....
Make sure you use the search function first on all your question. Most of the basic question is normally being asked by others.

When you decide to do something to your phone based on certain thread (root, custom rom, custom kernel, mod nd theme), read the OP and full thread carefully. Only proceed once u know what to do.
....
When u face problems with ur device, don't panic... evrything will have a solutions. Even the worst case, we still have samsung service center. ^_^
....
Last thing, our note 2 is the best samsung device. Which actually with stock rom nd kernel + root, u will have the best experienced alrd.

Hello All ,
It's been a while since I'm using my tab 3 10.1 P5210 . I've tried every rom except the new CAG Rom . So, I took the initiative to start a new thread for noobs . To guide them if they have any problem . I can only give the solutions for the 10.1 inch variant . I can't go too much deep about 7' & 8' versions . So , everybody is allowed to answer the questions . If I don't get the time to come online and answer your questions or if somebody knows the answer to that question the please feel free to say whatever you know . And please don't spam this thread and make this thread very prosperous . Good Luck :thumbup:

Hello!
SOLVED
**Went ahead and Upgraded to Odin 3.09 (Even though the buttons are all different). Flashed TWRP 2.7, and installed SU and rebooted. So far everything is going well.
I have a question for you, I know this thread is quite old. I decided it was better than making a whole new thread.
I just received a Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 p5210, went to root it today and ran into quite a problem.
Running Odin 3.07
I went to root and after completion it hangs on boot(at the current moment I am hanging right after the samsung comet where the samsung logo glows blue. I have tried several things, including reflashing multiple files etc and I am running out of options.
I did not flash a new recovery, Although I did try to unroot via:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2604681
also my dropbox, which contains my original root try (I think, I've downloaded quite a few of them)

Help?
Well lets get this off by saying im not a noob at rooting or flashing.
but with the differences between how the s3 acted and the s4 id like to ask for basic help which includes:
1.) Which roms work with the tmo version of the phone. (this includes the unified section) i know the d2tmo worked with the d2att amazingly is this still true?
2.) Kernels which is best for the tmo version (what works with tmo with little worries of breaking device
3.) any other help on the matter of flashing roms or other stuff what works with jfltetmo version. (sorry if the acronym is wrong please correct me)
4.) this post isnt just for me but for everyone who recently changed to this device. (remember most may be noobs. so go noob friendly when replying with answers thanks.)
reason for making this thread is simply for fast help. not to be thrown to the "wolfs" (.zip) and left to fend for our selfs. thanks again for reading and thanks for replying will love to see other "basic stuff to know" posted here.
I see the s4 community is of no help to anyone .
Sad. . . I could get more help from a dead fourm but not here
Probably the reason nobody answered is that we saw you have something like 400 posts, and more than 100 thanks, so by now you should know that most of your questions are easily answered by perusing the Tmo S4 General forum (for basic info on flashing ROMs and such, locations of recovery downloads etc.). "Which is the best" (ROM, Kernel etc.) discussions aren't appropriate, because we all know that situations differ and best for you may be different than best for me. It's best we avoid the religious wars that can start up.
As for which ROMs work, go to the Tmo S4 Android Development and Original Android Development forums. They all work, some better than others, with plenty of info in the threads devoted to each one. And, the "best kernel" will to some extent depend on the ROM you pick.
Nobody threw you to the wolves, but based on your post/thanks count you should have been able to better position your questions. Maybe show having done the minimum of research first (well, you did reference jfltetmo which is why I bothered to respond).
If you're interested, my M919 is updated to the OH3 firmware via the stock firmware (from Sammobile), plus TWRP 2.8.7.0 (got it from thread in the General forum) and the GPE 5.1 ROM posted by Danvdh (from the Android Development forum). Not sure if it's "the best" but it has been very stable for me for the last few weeks and I'm quite happy with it. It runs whatever kernel it came with.
Thanks for the reply. An no I'm not a pro I just find helping people better then being quite.
With the new phone I have no clue as I have came from s3 and before that was the sidekick 4g so I know the big differences and I know to be careful. The sidekick 4g I have bricked a few times with a experimental update to 2.3(sad that the development is dead now)
And also the s3 worked with atnt almost 90% of the time. Which is why I must ask for help here. As no other thread seems to recognize which ROMs (variants) worked with the phone and it seems like there is no kernel for the phone 5.1.1
I see some post about i9505 working for m919 is this true..? Prefer not to lose anything right now
There has been no official T-Mo release of Lollipop (either 5.0 or 5.1x) for it. There is a thread about using the i9505 firmware in the M919 but I haven't tried it.
Most people just flash one of the more popular Dev-created ROMs such as the Google Play Edition (GPE) 5.1 ROM that Danvdh posted... there's probably half a dozen or more very popular ones that work well and include a working kernel as part of the ROM that gets flashed. Plus lots more less popular ones.
I'm with AT&T also... the GPE ROM came with an ATT APN that automagically got selected the first time I booted the phone after flashing, and I had no problem using ATT using this phone/ROM/firmware [OH3] version.
Best of luck to you. I'll be departing the S4 sub-forums pretty soon. Just a little while ago I killed my S4 phone. it slipped from my hand, hit the floor hard on the corner, and cracked the screen. It still works but I'm going to buy something a year newer. Sigh.
Marc
Thanks for the reply it just seems like s4 tmo is dead.
Also I ask about a separate kernel because its been one of the things I don't trust just the ROM itself to do as right now the ROM dies faster then the charge is (just typing this.)
