I want to root my dhd but I'm hesitating to do it because I'm afraid my phone will be bricked.
My phones build number is 2.52.1010.2(korean build, I guess), android version 2.3.3.
I know how to root..I rooted a samsung phone but not an htc. Please give me a link/guide on what to do first before rooting and the stepbystep process. I read a lot about rooting but I can't find a guide for the korean build. another big problem for me, htc repair center is far from my place, so my last resort of bringing my phone back to life will be costly. please help me..
please help..

I would've posted links but it's not so simple on app, also if you can't be bothered to search and read on complex topics, which might result in you destroying your expensive phone, maybe you shouldn't be undertaking them.
What's wrong with today's society is people expect everything handed to them on a plate, with little or Jo effort on their part.

+1. I agree. People can't be expected to be spoon fed all the time. Just search it! It's that simple.
What else could we expect from a user (OP) whose nickname seems mispelled?
Hi guys, i'm new in forum, after 8 years in iOS, i switched to Android environment and it is all new for me. I really need help cause i'm stuck : I have a Samsung Galaxy Note II a friend gave to me, which was Rooted from him 3 years ago with Dr Ketan custom ROM . I now want to upgrade it's ROM, and install a new one, but i have no idea what to do, or what tools i need. I took a look at the XDA forum, but i can't find what to do if i want to install a new ROM over another one, i don't know what the process is and i really need your help. I don't know what ROM to install or the way to do it. Every help would be great, thanks a lot.
youtube it brother it will be more rom to flah and show you how to do it.
I found a GT-S5363 for cheap at a local market so I picked it up and the seller told me it it a Galaxy S so I bought it because I want this phone so much. But what I found out later it isn't it is a phone on O2. So I searched around this forum and only found ones from 2014 and 2013 but I want those themed Android N on CM 8. They said that ROMs on GT-S5360 works on the GT-S5363 but I don't know newer ROMs will work on that device. So here's my questions:
1. Can I install newer ROMs?
2. How's running?
3. Will it brick your device?
Honestly, I don't have much experience with this era of Samsung devices, I started exploring Samsung stuff starting with the S5 that is toasted by now. I do have a S2 that I still don't have time to fix yet so I don't really have an idea of how old Odin work please help me.
I have the same model. It has absolutely the same hardware as the normal GT-5360. The only difference is the home button and the battery cover, which means all Roms for the normal version should work on this phone as well.
BUT: I tried to install some Custom Roms I found here and it didn´t work. It might be that I´ve done a mistake, but if I was you, I would be careful and ask the developers for their help BEFORE you start.
Good luck!
