Hey I tried but can't find any info on what does this screen mean and would really appreciate it if anyone could tell me. When I swipe right I get 3 half circles that shows how many steps I took and what are other two things? One with stopwatch icon X/30 and a person with hands up X/12 one? Thanks.
The stop watch on is the amount of 'active' minutes - not sure what defines active, but any running or sports will contribute to it - for you your taget is 30 minutes of activity. The other one is the number of times you have got up (if you sit dormant for periods of time (the 1 hour alert you will get).
Thank you for that reply, i saw today that another person has some detailed analysis right under this screen, and i think i don't have it since i just bought the watch 3 days ago. I'm guessing thats workout status. Again thanks for your answer

Phone sitting in front of me on my desk around 2 feet away. Something triggered quick view / glance. I did not place my hand over screen.
but for me not working all the time !!!!
i found tthis : http://forums.androidcentral.com/sa...galaxy-note-3-quick-glance-not-working-2.html
and now i'm sure that option is not working all the time !!! i think that may conflict with some app or some change on the phone ?!
It's not a perfect trick, when I was debating getting a note I never saw a single review video where it worked every time. I've had ceiling fans turn it on but then have it fail to respond to my hand, however then the next day studying at the same table in the library the ceiling fan won't effect it at all and my hand will work perfectly.

I like it, my issues are not with the hardware, although I won't lie and say I don't wish for more battery life. My issues are with how beta android wear feels. Hopefully google will give it some TLC, but google seems like a company that puts a lot of effort into something, releases it then forgets it.
Anyhoo, especially after seeing the atrocity that is the apple watch I'm going to keep my 360 and of course eventually grab a Note 4. It's kind of a gimmick right now, but at least it's a nice looking gimmick and I'll give google the benefit of the doubt.

I have no problems with the speed of it - haven't noticed any stuttering or anything that people have mentioned. However, the battery is complete crap. I tried to use it today when I played 18 holes of golf w/ the Swing by Swing app (which actually works _very_ well w/ the watch, showing distance and letting you input your scores on the watch). The watch went from 95% to 0% on hole 12, about 3 hours in (slow play!). I only turned the watch on a few times a hole and didn't get any messages or anything in the meanwhile. The watch has also gone from 100% to 5% when used as a sleep tracker for 5 1/2 hours.
It's OK. I realized from day one that this is SQUARELY first/early adopter territory. As far as the battery goes, luckily, recharging takes only a little time. I found the secret is the mid day recharge. I turned off ambient mode and my phone was at 75% after almost 5 hours. Over lunch I tossed it on an old Nokia charger I had for 20 minutes and had over 90%. Right now it's 8:30p and I have 60%.
Midday charge while you're at the desk for 20 minutes erases all worries. Should you have to do it... No. But if you do it eliminates a pretty annoying issue.
The leather band annoys me, because I hate leather bands. The Pebble bands don't do it for me, just my opinion sorry, just being honest. Was it so fu^king hard to allow enough room for any band? The "notch" is just a slap in the face.

Yep, we all have to realize we are kind of alpha testing here. The Moto 360 version 2 will probably be decent, and version 3 will be awesome.
And maybe by the next version Motorola find a way to keep the small bezel and have a fully round screen.
I agree, it's OK. I sold my Gear 2 to get this because I didn't like the square/plastic combo, and thought I didn't like the OS, but frankly the way the interface worked was much better than Android Wear. It had a great looking display and got 3-4 days of battery life!
But it's a watch, so looks mean a lot... I may have to return this bad boy and wait for the LG R, or the Moto 362, lol...
-My only hope is that since this is Android there will be some decent development happening, but after reading some posts I'm not so sure...
I'm in the UK so still waiting for it to be released here. Blessing in disguise for me as I'm not one to be an early adopter so by the time it is released, I'll have the wealth of knowledge from US user comments/reviews before I pull the trigger on it.
I think the device is doing quite well for a first release. The battery on ambient mode lasts all the way until I get home from work and will last a workout as well counting all my steps and monitoring my heart rate several times. I also think overall the watch looks pretty executive. Has a professional look and feel to it. Can't help but think all the square smart watches are too "kid-like".
As previously mentioned, once android wear adds features and apps start catching up I think there is really great potential for the device.
I love it. Does what I need it to do, which is notify me and let me respond to texts and certain apps. I can use it for navigation and some Google questions. I take it off the charger around 6am and by the time i charge it at night (around 10pm) it still has 30-40%. I am a light user... meaning, I dont need (and turned off) Google Now (watch telling me info w/out asking). I don't care for step count or heart rate cuz I run at night anyway. I dont care to add games or browsing apps on it. That is what my phone is for. What I use it for may not be worth $250, but its the best looking (IMO) and there are not much AW options out right now.
Just glad I don't have to constantly check my phone for any important notifications from work or family.
The only thing i wish it had was a speaker phone.
I'm on my 4th day and really like it but I'll be honest I wished Samsung had a round watch and running Android Wear all because I plan to get the Note 4.
Besides that my battery seemed to improve with every charge. Only thing I wish was to be able to turn off vibration and still see notifications when it comes. So far if I scroll top to bottom it will turn off vibration and notifications. Unless I'm doing it wrong.
Sent from my LG-D851 using Tapatalk
After the 1st day of having it I thought I would sell it because I didn't think the watch did much and I thought I'd be judged by friends and coworkers for buying a smart watch (half kidding) but android wear has grown on me and everyone who's seen it loves it.
Is anyone having this problem with facer? I have a moto 360 and playing with facer.
Digital times are ok but for some reason I can't explain the analog watch hands are +90 degrees off ie. Second hand is 15 seconds fast, minute hand is 15 minutes fast and hour hand is 3 hours fast.
I'm using #DseT# for second hand, #DWFM# for minute hand and #DWFK# for Hour hand.
I've upgraded to the latest firmware on both Android Wear and Facer, but no change
My Phone that the watch is linked to has the correct time (EST)
I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. Can someone shed some light on what I can do to fix this? Thanks.

If your original (hand) picture is not verticle, then add a + or -. For example (#DWFK#-10) play with the number until it is correct
Thank you so much
does anyone else have the golf shot GPS app installed on their Sony SmartWatch 3 and if so how do you get it to work as a standalone GPS. I can't for the life of me get it to work. if I click on the app on the watch it just says loading I think and spins and then disappears. I can get it to pop up when I use the app on the phone but all its doing there is just giving me the reading from my phone. I want to be able to use just the watch as the GPS like it says it can be. Any help would be appreciated.
same problem however when I click on the app and after a few seconds of loading I get the message "no round currently being played" and if I scroll to the left I get "open on phone"
Played a round last Sunday.
There’s no way to use it as a stand-alone app. You have to start the round on your phone and then start the app on the watch. The good is that you can leave your phone in the cart as the yardage provided will use the GPS on the watch. Compared to my rangefinder, it was at times about 1-5 yards off, which I can live with. Scores marked on the watch will be reflected on your phone.
As for the battery, that’s another story. The round lasted me 4 hours and the watch completely died on the 16th hold. Having the GPS constantly on definitely does a number on the watch. Kind of sucks, but figure I can have a charger in the bag for a quick charge. All in all, I’m very pleased.
Standalone Golf Shot App
Hi
You may have answered your own question by now but yes I have Golfshot on a SW3 and you can select the course on your phone and once it's loaded to the watch it will stay there as the default course when you launch Golfshot directly on your watch...just close the app on the watch but don't end the round when you've used it.
I also turn on Aeroplane mode so that the Golfshot app, which uses the Google Fused Location Api to find out where it is, falls back to the internal GPS chip... as it uses the phone's GPS by default. That has the added benefit of 1) not draining the watch battery as quickly and 2) reducing on-board noise from WiFi and Bluetooth that impinges on the accuracy of the GPS.
I've found though that the watch running Golfshot stand-alone will only last maybe 14-15 pretty quick holes of a round without draining the battery flat....so I've written my own wear app that runs completely on the watch with it's own database. That has holes positions ,max 8 hazards per hole, shot measure etc and finishes a round easily with ~ 35% of the battery left! That database however extends to exactly two courses at the moment(!) so I'm looking for a way to add a Google Earth 'course mapper' to let users add their own.
The Wear app has been a bit of struggle for someone not used to Java, Android or the SDK ..but interesting..so I will press on and do the course mapper...or source one by some other means.

Hi, see my reply to alnova1 in this thread.
Cheers for sharing AndyMan I wondered how it worked and googling just says it works LOL
I'm using GameGolf on my phone to track my club distances and wanted GOLFSHOT on my watch so its easy to check distances without having my phone in my hand all day (which I did yesterday)
Seriously need something to make me keep my SSW3 don't wear a watch for normal activity in day to day life !

Which course is your 'home' one ..and I'll see if I can add it in to my database and send you a copy of the app.
Appreciated but I sold the watch earlier this week the battery just wasn't up to the job for what I needed

It's a real shame that all the commercial apps I've seen have such awful battery life..probably because they make extensive use of the play services API whereas I use my own optimised routines for many things . My own app has pretty much the same features as the major ones, including up to 8 hazards per hole, plus a compass pointer to the next tee or green centre and I can finish a 4 hour+ competition round with 30% plus battery left!
Still, good luck with whatever route you've gone down now.
Sounds 100% better, I kinda feel the whole watch isn't really overly useful pretty lame apps etc
back to using my nexus 5 gps rangefinder app #GameGolf - NFC tags the next purchase (and probably next to be sold
Hi Andy. Did you ever progress this?
Would be very interested in testing your app Andy!
Please???
I had a little Rd trip to take so as I was driving I was charging my watch. When I arrived I noticed the screen was blank and would not turn on... I can't even reboot it by the button on the underside. I let it sit for over 24 hr (my battery would never last that long ) when I try to charge it the cradle lights but the watch doesn't but what it does fo is give a short vibration once every 3 secs. How can I get this replaced or repaired is there a direct Asus number for the watch department? I've gotten used to wearing my watch daily.. Kinda feel odd not having it on.

Same here, no solution I know of yet.
I think it has become a common problem of Zenwatch. I have already seen several post on this forum regarding the same problem. One of my friends has also faced the same problem. His watch is dead now. I suggest you to contact with service center.
This happened to me a couple of days ago. I bought a replacement charging bracket from Amazon and it's working again!
