I have got a 1gb SD card in my Orange SPV M2000 which i use all the time, i never take it out, but occasionally my Storage Card folder dissapears s i cannot load apps on the storage card. A soft reset restores everything, but it gets annoying especially when i sych my music off my media center pc, because when the storage card is not available it fills up my internal memory with the music instead and i have to manually delete it.
my next problem concerns Bluetooth & Wifi i can only have one on at a time. i have bluetooth on at all times and when i start wifi it does not turn on until i do a soft reset, but then i recieve an error on bootup that bluetooth can not switch on due to lack of driver memory. i can then use wifi without bluetooth but i then need to turn wifi off and do a soft reset again to get bluetooth working.
I have over 30mb storage and 30mb program memory and no adjusting of the slider will get this working. (i can find a setting for driver memory)
does anyone know how i can resolve this as i would like to use wifi quickly without the rigmarole of a soft reset.
can anyone else run Wifi and bluetooth at the same time on thier blueangel?? if so what rom version are you running?
I am running the rom versions below, its a cooked rom
Hi Fuzzysb
I had the same issues on the O2 UK ROM 1.31 WWE and to a lesser extent on the i-mate 1.40.176WWE.
I recently switched to the O2Asia ROM (in my signature block below) and things have improved a whole lot. This ROM has a much nicer wireless manager implementation and I can switch between GPRS and Wi-Fi very easily, with BT running all the time. I still get some out of memory messages and have difficulty accessing BT Settings and BT Manager, but one the whole much less than with other ROMS.
hope that helps
Regards
Chris
I seriously need to upgrade to the 1.40 rom. i havnt found the confidence yet as it invalidates the garauntee.
give me confidence ... o lord.
Hi alitech
Well, since the wiki site also has all the original shipped ROMS posted, you can always reflash it back to your original ROM, if for some reason you have to return your device. If you read the wiki site, you will see that you can use the MAUdate utility to flash any of the WWE ROMS to your device. then use it again to flash it back to the original shipped ROM if you ever need to. Hope that helps

Hey everybody!
Don't know whether it is a bug or a feature of my old R2A rom, but unfortunately, there is no LED indication when you enable Bluetooth or WiFi. I have written a small dll which loads as a wince service and fixes the issue. To use it, copy the dll to the \Windows directory and import the .reg file to registry.
I plan to add the support for a special notification in case there is active data transfer over bluetooth or wifi is associated, but not sure whether it is easy to detect the bt state and whether anyone will actually need the hack
Edit: OOPS, I've forgotten to sign it. Now, here's a new version. Don't forget to install SDKCerts.cab first!
Thanks will give it a try
i install it but i see nothing when turning on wifi or bluethoot.
i use winmb 6.5
Hi Everyone,
I'm currently having this issue where I can't mount USB mass storage at any PC. The green android screen that appears whenever the phone is plugged in immediately disappears when selected?
My current config is in my sig, if that helps diagnose the problem.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
I had the same issue once with a Motorola Droid. I would recommend you to make a nand-backup and wipe the device and see if it corrects.
If not, try with another ROM. This way you can restore everything if you happen to find the reason and know you can correct it from your current setup.
Now, it seems obvious but just to be sure, have you checked in Config->Connect to PC that the phone asks you for the Connection Type?
Regards
Just acted on a hunch and I was right: the kernel that I was using somehow broke this feature, flashing pershoot's fixed it
i have this problem i am running cm7.1 still can not do anything even flashing pershoot and fixing permission. anyone help me?
When connect my A100 to a PC via MTP, found some of the files deleted/moved not accurately shown inside the file manager of PC. The files, which had been deleted/moved via apps of tablet earlier, are still shown in the original location but are unable to be opened.
The database/index of the MTP program seems corrupted, is it possible deleted the MTP data and force a rescan?
Pls help, thanks.

Found a solution from other forum:
1) clear data of the "Media Storage" app
2) rescan the files via the "SDrescan" app (which can be downloaded from Play Store)

I had started a thread on this issue back in december, still having issues on Jelly bean on my xoom (I know it's a different device, but same issue).
On Honeycomb, I had problems, sometimes files would not be updated even after reboot. Now I'm on JB, having the same issue, so it seems to be a MTP issue that's independent of android version.
I have tried SDrescan, but it doesn't always work. Did SDrescan fix this issue on the Iconia?
btw, my workaround was to not use MTP, and install a samba share app instead. There are a few samba apps in the market, and you have to have a wifi network, but it's pretty solid compared to MTP.

Yeah, "SDrescan" fixed my problem at A100. Btw, "AirDroid" also a very good solution via Wifi....
Thanks for the information !
I had a Samsung S4 with exact the same trouble. (running 5.0.1 original Samsung ROM)
Did delete Media Storage Data and restarted the phone.
After that the display via MTP was fine... no need for SDrescan.
I did know already about the fact that i can restore pictures, videos and coverart on music with that trick... i was not aware that this also affects the standard file-handling for mtp.
`Hi all,
it seems the overall connectivity of my phone to my pc is screwed up. First of, I've never got this phone to appear as mass storage in windows explorer. While I was on a JB custom ROM, I ended up using moborobo. ADB and fastboot were working. I switched to Carbon KK ROM and ofc still not able to prompt windows explorer mass storage device. And yeah, I tried severall different packages of drivers, HTC sync crap and what not. I tried moborobo again, it recognizes the device and it's able to scan my phone's contents, but I get errors when I try to upload a file. Also, adb works when booted, but not in recovery so I can't sideload or push files either. so, effectively, I have no way currently to drop files to my phone. I miss removable SD-card
I would love to get this phone to work as a mass storage device again, does anyone has got some ideas? thanks
I flashed CM11 kernel and file management in moborobo is working again. Also fixed wifi and bluetooth. Seems carbon kernel is pretty broken

The easey way is just to disable usb debuging and you will see your sd card as mass storage when you finish enable usb debuging again.
