Does VoWifi work on OP5T? - OnePlus 5T Questions & Answers

Recently, jio and airtel announced VoWifi in India. I am sure many other carries must be offering this already globally.
Does op5t support VoWifi?

Yes, OnePlus 5T supports VoWiFi (WiFi Calling).

how to enable it and when it will be officially available in india

is there a workaround for att in the US? My Galaxy s8+ had wificalling and so did my galaxy s5 but for some reason they don't let me enable it on my 5t

How can i enable VoLTE with Code on my OP3?

Hi,
In my country, there is no handshake about VoLTE option with Vodafone and Oneplus to enable "Enhanced 4G LTE mode".
I know that there is a process for being enabled VoLTE on OP3 for both Operator and OnePlus but i dont think that they are gonna do that because OP3 is not officially on sale in my country. Very very small amount of OP3 is using in my country as i know.
So here i am asking that, is there any way around to open VOLTE on my OnePlus3?
Maybe i can show my phone as "Galaxy S7 Edge" or "LG G5" which are OK for VoLTE on Vodafone.
Thanks

You need your firmware and your carrier to support it. Unlocked model of HTC 10 supports VoLTE. If your carrier does then you are good to go.

I already know unlocked htc 10 support after nougat. But I searched , To use VoLTE in korea I need some code(or type) in firmware.
My carrier (Sk telecom) doesn't support international VoLTE code(type). They use their code not international code.(I don't know exactly).
International VoLTE include all VoLTE types? If yes, then I can use VoLTE.!

If your carrier doesn't support VoLTE, then you won't be able to get it. I'm on Telus in Canada with a US Unlocked device. US Unlocked supports VoLTE, but my carrier only supports it for the newer iPhone models. So I don't get it and you won't either, unless I/you change carriers or our carriers decide to support it. Sorry, but that's the way it is.
EDIT: I misread your post. And don't understand it to tell the truth. VoLTE should either be supported or not. If they don't use International/WWE code (?) then try US Unlocked firmware instead.

As someone who lives currently in Korea and understands this issue on a very real level (lolㅠㅠ),
most carriers in the world use a VoLTE standard defined by the 3GPP. What Google claims regarding baking VoLTE into Marshmallow is according to the 3GPP standard. This is why I can buy a phone in Spain and take it to Germany and use it no problem (for the most part).
But Korean carriers established their own VoLTE standard called TTA-VoLTE before 3GPP could create an international standard. So any phones bought in Korea likely won't work with VoLTE abroad, and vice-versa (save for some exceptions).
In terms of carrier, the key exception is LG U+; since their network depends exclusively on LTE and CDMA, for BYOD customers (해외구매폰) they have to support the 3GPP standard on top of the TTA-VoLTE standard (see link below). There are some success stories of people taking their Hong Kong phones and using it on LG U+, their LatAm Samsung phones, etc.
In terms of phones, iPhones and some Google phones, some Sony phones (flashed with Korean ROMs), and some LG phones supposedly support TTA-VoLTE (check 2nd link).
My advice? If you have the phone with you, either take it to LG U+, see if they can register the phone as "OM-Phone" (Open Model), and see if VoLTE works; or just live without VoLTE as I have been doing for the past 2 years (ㅠㅠ).

VOWIFI for our moto phones

will it be possible to port the vowifi and volte feature from other supported devices to unsupported device ? like for ex: JIO supported phones are Moto g6, Moto one power in Android 10, e5 plus, etc.
I have heard that JIO and Airtel carriers are rolling out vowifi support for devices in India.
Kindly share your thoughts on this

Hi,
Is it possible, as with OnePlus 8 Pro, to enable volte and vowifi with *#800#?

Thanx for your help

I'm pretty sure the global edition does work with VoWiFi but only on T-Mobile and their MVNO's (Metro by T-Mobile, etc) AT&T and Verizon only allow VoLTE on BYOD Unlocked devices.

I'm on Verizon with no volte issues. Vowifi I believe you're correct, but pretty much irrelevant for most people as coverage is generally excellent for most carriers regarding high quality phone calls.

I'm on Verizon as well. I actually find VoWiFi to be annoying, my Mom, and sis both have unlocked iPhones on Verizon and VoWiFi works, my dad has a Verizon Branded Moto Z4 and they could be on a call and as soon as they leave the house down the block the call drops, or the WiFi goes out (I have crappy ass Spectrum) and their calls drop, I'm the only one with only VoLTE and my calls never drop.

Question Questions about 5G availability in non-released countries with pixel 6 pro

After seeing Google i/o, I gave up pixel 6a and bought 6 pro. Currently, I am using a 5g plan, and I registered the device, but I keep getting network errors. I would like to know if the current problem is because it is an unreleased country, and I would like to ask if there is a patch method that can use 5g if it is an unreleased country. And it is currently being used in Korea.
No. Don't import or use the Pixel 6 on an unsupported country/carrier. VoLTE, wifi calling, 5G, etc might not work.

VoLTE and wifi calling works with root, here still no 5G networks to try...
VOLTE and WIFI Calling works (using Pixel 6) in India, not sure if 5G services are available here.
