Hi,
Is it possible, as with OnePlus 8 Pro, to enable volte and vowifi with *#800#?
Last year, it worked for me, installing an old version of the logkit, enabling volte and vowifi, and reinstalling the initial logkit.
Thanx for your help

My global model has volte enabled out of the box. Vowifi, I think not.

I'm pretty sure the global edition does work with VoWiFi but only on T-Mobile and their MVNO's (Metro by T-Mobile, etc) AT&T and Verizon only allow VoLTE on BYOD Unlocked devices.

I'm on Verizon with no volte issues. Vowifi I believe you're correct, but pretty much irrelevant for most people as coverage is generally excellent for most carriers regarding high quality phone calls.

I'm on Verizon as well. I actually find VoWiFi to be annoying, my Mom, and sis both have unlocked iPhones on Verizon and VoWiFi works, my dad has a Verizon Branded Moto Z4 and they could be on a call and as soon as they leave the house down the block the call drops, or the WiFi goes out (I have crappy ass Spectrum) and their calls drop, I'm the only one with only VoLTE and my calls never drop.

Anyone?

Not on T-mobile in the US.
I've seen some people who say it does and some who say it doesnt. I have AT&T and no VoLTE, but it might not be enabled with my carrier yet (I just opened the account less than one month ago).
I have the Verizon version and I don't get wifi calling or VOLTE.
Doesn't bother me as I'm always best wifi.

So VOLTE AND WIFI CALLING doesn't work at all on the unlocked version? That sucks

Not for T-mobile. I called T-mobile and they blamed Motorola. I called Motorola and they blamed T-mobile. Maybe WiFi calling in a future update. I have my "enhanced calling via LTE" setting checked but haven't seen the VoLTE icon ever pop up. I've always had volte on my other phones. So I know it's available in my area.
VoLTE should work on T-Mobile. Both the unlocked MOTO Z and MOTO Z Play have been certified by T-Mobile. You won't see a VoLTE icon in the menu. However you can check it by making a phone call and if the phone stays on LTE you know its working. VoLTE probably will not work on the Verizon version of the phone but only on the unlocked model.

Nope. No WiFi calling. I confirmed with both T-mobile and Motorola. Plus if you Google it, there's an article confirming Motorola is not supporting wifi calling on T-mobile.

You would think that Motorola would see it in their interest to support wifi calling on T-Mobile. It would certainly make the MOTO Z more attractive to T-Mobile users. Other unlocked phones from Google, Samsung, Apple, and HTC support both VoLTE and wifi calling on T-Mobile. In spite of this Motorola shows no interest in supporting this.
Volte on tmobile yes no Wi-Fi caling
I am a windows 10 mobile user on AT&T, and know that the device itself has a lot to do with VoLTE being active. What on the Moto Z Play enables/provisions/or is missing for VoLTE/Enhanced LTE to function (files\binaries\etc..). VoWiFi is seperate from VoLTE I thought...correct?
I ask since I recently purchased one of these to have an Android around the house too.
Hey guys!
Is it possible to get VoLTE on Dev edition M9?
If it supports 4g then yes but if the other person you're calling doesnt have 4g for whatever reason then you wont be making a volte call to them.

Here in India, there's this carrier called Jio in which you can make calls only if your phone has VoLTE, but the stock dev edition M9 doesn't have VoLTE, so I wanted to know how to get VoLTE.
Thanks for replying.
Im quite sure the m9 does support it so long as the carrier supports it. As I said, both phones, both carriers, both must have a good 4g signal. If you are both on Jio, both have a good 4G signal then you should have volte. If they are on a different carrier then there could be a cross network issue at the carrier end. Maybe a call to your carrier could answer in more detail?.
The m9 is clearly marked as volte capable on various sources and the wiki page here: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voice_over_LTE but searches also indicate that it may be dependent on what the carrier has enabled at their end.

This has been my experience. On both T-Mobile and AT&T, with the developer edition SKU RUU installed, VoLTE has not been enabled. I'm fairly convinced it's because there is some carrier setup that doesn't support it.
It may be different if you have your carrier's SKU RUU installed, but I can't confirm that - just a theory.

The M9 doesn't really have VoLTE, only a few versions of it do (such as the T-Mobile version).
Also, from using it on my other phone (a S7 Edge), it doesn't matter if the other person has VoLTE too, it'll still be able to make a call, just not a HD call.

That's because the Dev edition doesn't support VoLTE. You could check this thread out for more info.
It kinda sucks that hardware wise it does support it but not from a software view.
Does anyone know of the Zenfone 5 series support wifi calling? I'm looking to upgrade from my ZTE Axon 7 and I really need support for Wi-Fi calling with my next phone.
I don't know. But can't find an option for this here and my carrier supports this.
I have had an unlocked ZenFone 5 for 2 weeks now,VoLTE and WiFi calling is not provisioned yet I think it will come through shortly great phone though.
Now that the Zenfone 5z is out in the states, thought I'd ask again if the phone supports wifi calling, specifically on T-Mobile.

No, it doesn't support WiFi calling on TMobile. But it does support VoLTE.
This is from the manufacturer on the Amazon listing.
It supports! I'm using Vodafone TR (so probaly the other countries' support too) and when I activated aeroplane mode with wi-fi (provider was Turkcell), I've received calls. But I can't remember how was the sound quality. ZE620KL

Well these are conflicting answers.
They say it does, but only for carrier models?

Hocam merhaba Vowifi ayarını nereden açtığınızı yada nasıl ayarladığınızı tarif edebilir misiniz
Hey all. I'm looking to pick up a A50 but I'm having difficulty finding information on it's compatibility with T-Mobile. Does anyone here have the 64GB or 128GB variants of the North American A50 and can confirm full compatibility with T-Mobile's LTE network? Also does Wi-Fi calling work?
I'm currently looking at the 64GB model sold by Best Buy and Amazon (model# SM-A505UZKNXAA). I'd like to get the 128GB international model (model# SM-A505UZKNXAA) but I don't think it works on T-Mobile.

Check what bands you need in the phone, and I think it will works. But you can google everything about this. https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.re...ne_bought_the_us_unlocked_galaxy_a50_from_bh/

VoLTE and VoWiFi are depends on your carrier too. The phone support these, but that's not means T-mobile too.
I have VoLTE for sure.

T-Mobile supports VoLTE and VoWiFi on compatible phones like my Nokia 7.1. Sadly you can only confirm a phone is compatible by entering an IMEI and I don't want to buy this phone just to have to return if it's not supported.
As you can see my version of the phone is FN, but I have VoLTE (Right upper corner).
But are you ok T-Mobile's US network? If not, you can't answer my question.
Anyone have a rom that supports vowifi on Verizon? I already tried the logjit. I replaced it with the one from here, it'll toggle on and then back off.
There is pretty tight carrier <-> rom integration for Voice over wifi, so typically not. Verizon is especially finicky when it comes to that.

It's not your phone, it's your network.
Verizon will not allow vowifi on a non-verizon branded phone. Period.
Vowifi on Verizon works on the VZW branded 8, but not on any other version of that phone. Verizon claims that non-branded phones are a security risk because they haven't been through their testing.
