Owned EVR-L29 twice and both times phone came sealed and had us charger in box. Just repurchased one from AliExpress and a little concerned. Box wasn't sealed, European charger was in box and when I turned on home screen had different icons , an optimiser icon that was never in previous home screen phones. Is there a way to tell that this is a true EVR-L29 model that hasn't been modded as concerned it won't get updates or it's a Chinese model that was modded and re-packaged. Anyone help?

The app is called Optimiser now. Before it called something else. Like phone manager I forgot.
Post a screen shot of about phone.

Bear in mind that Huawei ceased production of the mate 20x I believe in March or April 2019. So those would be the last build dates. Serial number will show dates.

It's been over a month since I got my beautiful One X. It's been flawless(except the battery life, of course)
About 2 days back while caressing my phone in my hand during a movie, I felt a slight 'bump' on the back, right above the HTC logo. It is not easily visible - but surely there.
GSMArena also had this bump on their 360-degree spin model.

Is it widespread, or a serious issue? should I ask for a replacement from HTC?
Mine has it too, didn't even notice
let's hope it's not a foamy LiPo battery
as far as i know every device has this bump. but its nothing wrong with it.
Hello, mine don't have this bump and is totally flat ...

Oh! you absolutely sure? do you have a carrier-branded device?
Also, is your phone the global quad-core version, or the LTE/dual core one?
__
If the bump doesn't exist on brand new phones, can it be a result of the frequently-heating Tegra processor on a regularly used device? I've received a warning once from my battery widget, which said battery temp above ideal temperature.
I personally feel this can be risky business due to the fact that puffed up batteries aren't exactly safe
No bump on my EU model, totaly flat, but it's 5 days old.
Yes i'm sure, totally flat ... but can't take photo to show you now.
I don't know what mean "carrier-branded" phone but mine is branded ( SFR in France )
and there is no brand "tag" on case ( stock case ) if that was what you mean ...
My serial number is HT23NWxxxxxx if it can help identifying a faulty serie ...
mines totally flat too. unbranded uk
Noticed it today, too
Was bored, waiting for the lunch to arrive and flipped the phone around in my Hand in gelt it.
Glas to See Brothers have it, too.
Bit Mine has a minimal bump.
Barely noticeable

mine has a very slight bump on my htc one x white european version, i think this is normal part of the manufacturing process, its ever so slight and you can only detect it atcertain angles and your fingers have to be very sensitive to feel it,
not a big deal,
Bump
mine has a minor bump, its been like two weeks i bought it.. i am worried cuz i don't have any warranty with it.. I infact googled it they sent me to this thread.. anyhooo glad to find out that many of us having the bump and by reading all the comments it seems like the bump increases with the time so its because of the heat the cpu plus gpu generates..
had to stop gaming like crazy on it
I watched a few unboxing videos of the HTC One M9 and I noticed that the unlocked version inlcudes HTC headphones in the box, but from what I've seen, the carrier versions don't include them. Can anyone confirm or deny this?
I do have the one m9 from o2 Germany in gunmetal grey (cid o2___102)
There are headphones included

Maybe the U.S. carrier phones got gypped? The AT&T unboxing video I saw didn't have them. Fortunately though, I'm going to buy an international unlocked version so I don't have to deal with all of the crapware the carriers put on the phones (and slow updates as well). I made that mistake with my Galaxy S4 (which I loathe...) and won't be making that mistake again. Does anyone know the benefit of buying an unlocked M9 over the developer one? Many people don't feel a need to unlock the bootloader on their phone but if they ever want to, it's nice to have one already unlocked. I'm assuming that the warranty covers both anyway.
Got my M9 yesterday from a Caphone Warehouse in UK and the box included the headphones
Got mine from AT&T yesterday w/ no headphones.

Well that's lame. The Nexus 6 comes with the quick charger...
I thought the always listening feature was available on the newer snapdragon processors (805 and higher). The option to enable "" OK Google" with the screen off and not charging is not available. I'm on the AT&T version.
Any body know why it isn't available? Is it the processor, model, an LG thing, or maybe an update needed on Googles end?

That's very strange, I'm not on the AT&T version (international H815 version), but the ability to search Google from any screen is definitely there. I just trained the app to recognise my voice and it's working perfectly fine. I don't use it since it's a severe battery drainer, but it looks like that's something that AT&T has disabled on their version of the ROM.
If so.. damn. That really sucks! So glad I went with an international variant at this point. Good luck to you!

The option is there to turn it on from any screen, just not when the screen is off like the Nexus 6, Moto X, and I believe even the S6 has the ability through Google now instead of S-Voice.

Edit: I've also attached a screenshot from my Nexus 6 (It's been reset and haven't logged back into my account. That's the reason for the message). It has the "Always On" option. That's the one I'm looking for.

Ah I misread what you wrote in the OP. Yeah, you can't do it with this phone apparently. It must be disabled in the stock ROM since my Nexus 6 does it perfectly fine with the screen off.
Verizon has the ability from any app and with screen off BUT screen off is only if you are charging.
I've only heard of screen off working if the phone is connected to a charger. That's how all my devices have worked, including the 2012 Nexus 7.
Signature edited to appease the OCD's
I have the H811 and Google Now works with the screen off/charging, but not off the charger.
No that "root" has now been established on the G4, does anyone think that this may now be a possibility? That is one of the features i miss from the Nexus 6

Well as the title says, why (outside of ebay) is this not available? I really want one and am debating on dropping the money on it soon (metal band version) but I just wanted to be sure since you guys have it, if I should since this seems to be a device being supported outside of the U.S. Will I still get the updates and will I have everything I need in order for it to work out of the box?
P.S. The metal is hovering around 250, not bad in my opinion, but the regular ones have dropped in price in the past week. I mainly looking at it as a smartwatch only since I have a fitbit for health stuff, so would you guy spend the extra for the metal as well? and before you say get the cheaper option then buy a band, the bands are also not available in the U.S. for sale, but when I changed to the U.K. store on the sony website, they have the option.

My error. Yes they have always had the watch. I thought we were talking about the band by itself
well at least I know there's a backup, I prefer the metal band version though as it carriers an ip68 rating and since it looks like I won't be finding a metal band for sale in the us anytime soon
They all have the ip68 rating.

Taiwanese version is that you have. I think H815v. It cannot get bootloader unlocked via the official LG method.

Swappa doesn't have them. I tried. Here you can get the true H815 EU shipped to the US in a variety of colors. At the top, there is a drop down menu that changes the price from UK to US. The exvat price is what you'll pay. http://www.handtec.co.uk/lg-g4-32gb-smartphone-ceramic-white-lgh815-adeuwh.html
And it comes with a 2 year warranty! I made sure to verify with handtec.com support if it's still got the warranty shipped to the US.
