What kond of down & upload speeds in m.b.p.s. are you averaging with the t-mobile note 10 plus 5G device. Thanks In advance!!!

For me personally, what I'm seeing in Phoenix AZ are not so great 5G speeds. In areas where I have 5G they are comparable to my 4G LTE speeds, in areas where I have bad LTE, with little to no speeds, I have 5G with better speeds. In areas where I have good LTE and see 5G, my LTE speeds are so much better.

Not a clue what you're asking....
He's asking about data speeds on the various frequencies of the phone.
Officially, no LTE on this model, yet. Rumor has it, and I'll be testing soon, that if you unlock the SIM (I already have) that you can get AT&T LTE on the phone. I've already confirmed that you can get HSPA speeds on AT&T with it.
Re: the speeds in the OP...yes, the phone in theory supports 42 Mb/s on HSPA+...far higher than your posted speeds, in real world, who knows. Real world speeds are dependent on many variables - location, towers support, backhaul capacity, network traffic between the phone and the server, etc.
In my area, the best I've ever seen on HSPA+ with this phone is about 14 Mb/s, which is comparable to my VZW LTE phone's speeds on speedtest.net.
If you're using speedtest.net, test with several different servers. I'm in Los Angeles, and the app usually tests me out of Monterey Park or downtown LA, and I get lousy speeds with those due to network congestion. If I switch to a San Jose, CA or Nevada server, speeds can quadruple.

Are you sure you weren't on WiFi with that speedtest? The Xfinity doesn't sound like a mobile connection.

Xfinity is Comcast's new branding for their Internet/cable packages. I suppose it's possible he was tethering. That's the only way that result would make any sense.
No tethering

Oh gunna say, you can use speedtest.net which is the og site .
The note 2 has a 42mbps radio so it can support up to those speeds, but it depends on many factors as mentioned above.
In berkeley, ca I get 25 mbps and in the los angeles area (san gabriel) I'm getting 14 mbps
You might have to change servers as the servers around you might be slower than those a little farther away.

I'm asuimg the only way to get 3G on T-Mobile is to be in a refarmed area? For the att note 2? Not really important for me I just though I'd try out the data speeds around on T-Mobile but only edge

Just wondering if setting my phone to use hspa+ uses less battery than lte?
Sent from my SGH-T889 using xda premium
Hspa plus will use less battery since it has more coverage. Compared to lte. Itll be a waste of battery if lte radio band is searching for lte when there is none. The speeds are great on lte. But if battery life is what youre after hspa has satisfying speeds.
All in all... hspa+ is already fast enough to not need lte. LTE is the bugatti and HSPA+ is the ferrari 458. Its great but not as great as lte

Couldn't you just try it and find out for yourself? There are lots of other factors that are going to come into play when it comes to battery life. Every one of us is going to have different strengths of signal so no 2 of us are going to have the same experience.

Where I in live I have consistent lte, I was just wondering if using lte in of itself uses less battery like how using edge is supposed use less than than 3/4g
As others have said, your mileage will definitely vary on this one. In my case: great coverage available with both technologies and no significant battery life difference between the two.
My experience is that LTE uses battery notably faster than hspa. At work I have full bars for both. There is a cell site EXTREMELY close to the office.

In my case I've found that I've gotten better battery with 1 bar with LTE than I had with full bars on HSPA so...
So, I just ran a speedtest on T-mobiles LTE network with my new Note 3, and I am VERY impressed!
32Mbps Down and almost 18Mbps up
Color me jealous. I don't have T-Mobile LTE where I am, only HSPA. They do list a couple of cities in my state that have LTE, but I'm not really near them at all. Hopefully they'll expand out quickly!

That is pretty impressive. where are you located?
I don't know why, but with my S4 and Note 3 HSPA (4G) I get 27 down and 9 up on average, but on LTE I only get 13 down and 12 up. HSPA seems to be a little faster here in Tampa, Florida than LTE. T-Mobile's HSPA is capable of 42 MBPS and so are the phones. So i keep my phone set at hspa instead of LTE. I also get 4 to 5 bars of signal on 4G and only 1 or 2 on LTE which might explain the speed difference
Just did a test outside near a tower. I got 22 down and 11 up. Pretty decent.

I think they are testing LTE in the Louisville, Kentucky area. LTE hasn't offically been announced, but I'm connected to LTE with 2 bars. I got 9.78 down and 3.34 up which isn't great. On HSPA+ I got 7.15 down and 1.30 up with full bars.

Just pulled 30ms, 25.5 down, 1.15 up in my 1st floor APT where Sprint barely gets a 3G signal. Needless to say, I'm happy with my change of carrier

The more I run Speedtest, the faster it gets Also, I've used about 500MB worth of data through Speedtest... So this is what it's like to have a usable data network, eh? I'm loving it! DIAF, Sprint
Wow that great speed. In what area of the country are you?

Im really jealous lol im on the sprint slow network lol is anyone from Miami that could show me if miami has some good decent speeds im thinking of going to tmobile today and try them out for 15 days see how coverage and speeds are in Miami.

Anyone have any ideas as to why I'm getting lousy LTE speeds?
Jedi 4.5
Tmobile, 2/3 out of 5 bars
3 readings from the screen shot are the following:
Wifi
LTE
4G
Tia
Depends on how many people are on a tower. If its uber crowded, expect slower speeds.
