What is the current steps to do a csc change on this version. Needing to do a CSC change from TMB to XAA. I have a Galaxy 8 plus G955usqs7dsk2 with a provider of TMB/XAA/TMB. Can not find any version 7 bianary files that I am able to download to do a CSC change.
I have a second phone s8 plus with G955usqs5dsf2 and it works fine with provider showing XAA/XAA/USC using the same sim card.
My issue seems that TMB does not like the tower at my house and doesn't connect to it. I can drive away from my house and all other towers work fine. I even changed out all the phone boards all but the cpu board just in case it was hardware related. If there is another way of doing a csc change on this phone let me know.

So I rooted my J2 (SM J250F) and one of the apps I installed is a mac address changer. I was using it to get around a 30 minute limit at airport wifi. Well I think it messed up the efs partition because after using that app I cannot connect to mobile, most of the time it will not even get a signal. The IMEI, serial # of device and model name match the sticker under the battery.
I did not backup the efs partition and I have used odin several times to get back to stock, tried kies program which told me to try smart switch, which I then had to use a older version. Smart Switch keeps saying to check serial and model name over and over even though its correct. I am a little unsure how to proceed from here. I just created the pit file and backed it up along with the corrupted (I assume) efs partition.
Anyone know what to try? I'm not worried about breaking it more as its already a expensive calculator. lol I feel like using odin and start ticking boxes under options even though I don't quite understand the implications. I read that samsung kies/smart switch -restore/initialize can put back factory settings that are unique to your phone, however that option is not working.
Edit: update, I think I may have been in a area with no service. I was at Chicago O'hare and connected to att when I had service, then in Green Bay where I had no service (tried sim cards for both att and tmobile) Now I am on the border with Canada and the phone has service on Rogers. with the att sim card. I guess the J2 is a poor international phone and I need to research the carriers bands a little more.
Hi there, greetings from Brazil. I just purchased a Samsung S9 SM-960F (XEF) from France, running Exynos. I am being able to use it here (Brazil) with 4G, both sim cards, however VoLTE calls are not active. I have it selected on networks settings and my sim card activates it on my wife's S10e. It seems that the issue is somehow related to the device. Is there any setting or procedure that needs to be done in order to activate it? I have already hard reseted the device and it is still not working.

voLTE is something that is carrier dependent and can sometimes need provisioning in the telephony switch. Could be as simple as that particular line not having it enabled on an account level. It could very easily be a firmware thing too. My carrier offers voLTE but i lost that option in my settings menu when i flashed the U1 firmware. I bet it would come back if i flashed an at&t firmware set tho even tho im using an at&t mvno
It is carrier dependent. I have a dual SIM Exynos S9 here in the US. I have a Mint SIM (T-Mobile MVNO) in one slot and VoLTE & Wi-Fi calling work just fine. The other SIM is a Cricket SIM (AT&T MVNO) and, of course, there is no VoLTE or Wi-Fi calling on that line. Cricket only supports those features in phones they sell and, of course, iPhones.
Yeap, I got the point that VoLTE is carrier dependent. The issue is that my Brazilian Carrier (VIVO) does support VoLTE in my region and I was able to confirm it by inserting my simcard in my wife´s smartphone (Samsung S10e). I have been reading some articles and threads about CSC and other stuff, like firmware flashing. As I told, my device is a S9 SM-G960, with XEF (France) firmware version installed on it.

if the S10e is allowing voLTE, then it has the firmware built in for voLTE which might be particular to the the S10's, but thats something for the S10 forums. Regarding the S9, it needs the carriers firmware in order to utilize the voLTE feature
Trying to Configure Note10+ 5G (N976V) with Visible but can not add APNs. The option is Greyed out. I was able to do it with my Verizon S10 that is also not officially supported. Crazy thing is that for about 5 min i was able to use the Visible SIM in my Note and Call and Send Txt until I rebooted the Phone. The Phone is paid off and Im using it on Mint Mobile now but it doesnt Show the T-Mo Boot Logo when I switched SIMs like my S10 Did. Has anyone been able to get this to work. I was told by Samsung that I may need to Reflash the Phone.
i have the regular unlocked note10+ working on visible.
N976V on Visible.
I am having the same issue, the APN settings are disabled. If you get this resolved before I can figure out a work around please let me know. Thank you.
Rocking Visible Wireless with the following devices,
iPad Mini 4th gen
Samsung Note 9 SM-N960u

Did you work it out? if yes, can you share how?
As soon as someone has resolved this issue, please update this forum page!
I just upgraded my note 8(on Visible) to the note 10 plus 5g. After i put in the Visible sim card into my note 10 phone, the phone was not working with the Visible sim card. I was connected onto the wifi network at work and I went into the settings to update the APN information, but it was greyed out and could not enter that information into the phone. After a few hours of googling to see if I could fixed the greyed out APN area so that I could actually enter in the programming, I said let me check the phone outside with wifi turned off. I went outside and tried to place a call and the call connected. I was then able to get wifi calling turned on since the phone was not allowing me to do so before. I went back into work and tried to place a call on the wifi network and it worked. I also tried sending text messages and mms messages and they all work. I checked the settings under the APN area and the phone automatically populated the Visible Internet setting but it was also greyed out, but it was working and I was so happy. I am so happy now with my new galaxy note 10 5g phone that is up and fully working with the Visible sim card. So I believe that having the phone connect onto the cell tower signal and not the wifi allowed the phone to pull in the APN information that it needed. I also reset via the setting the network connections while I was outside a few times. Hopes that this helps...
Change CSC with SamFw Tool (don't brick your device!!!)
Don't update beyond U4
Unlock bootloader and root.
Modify everything.
Accuse Samsung of being stupid for ever creating such a product with such limitations.
hallo,
The phone has no warranty so I really am asking for help.
Note has completely random signal problems, shows full bars and lte icon all the time, but mobile internet is down and sometimes also call signal. Wi-fi always works fine.
What is weird - sometimes everything works flawlessly, I can't find a dependency. (of course in my house in the same place, on my other A21s there are never signal problems - and I tested my sim cards on other phones as well).
When I bought this phone, I flashed Android 12 via ODIN. I choose right CSC for my region XEO (Poland) which is different than stock AUT. My baseband is n975fxxu7hvb9 -
which appear in firmwares from Switzerland -AUT. Does the wrong csc or baseband causing this problems? I attached screeneschts form phone.
Pls. hep guys local phone carrier said that this is motherboard problem and fix will be very expensive...
i tried to rollback to android 11 with stock phone carrier OPV. Still the same... Its common to this phones to have a signal problems? Or I realy need to swap my moterboard?
Hello everyone,
I bought Galaxy Note 10+ (SM-N975U1). I'm using it in Germany.
I found out recently that my Phone is US-Version with CSC Code XAA/XAA/VZW.
Is the CSC Code the cause for my bad signal?
Can someone confirm it?
I searched everywhere, how to change the CSC. But it looks like without Root or unlocked Bootlader it is not possible.
After my research my phone is not possible to be unlocked. (FYI it has Bootlader Version 7)
Is there something I can do or I missed it.
I would appreciate every help. Thank you

The CSC is set to unbranded based on what you're showing. Do you know which bands you are trying to pick up that are not working? The issue is even if CSC can be changed "which it can", it will only change to US carriers primarily.
Who's your carrier?

I have no data connection inside building.
Sometimes my phone can't be used for calls. It show "Only Emergency Call".
My wife has the same provider like me, she has full 4G reception or at least 2G.
