Am I the only one who thinks the max earphone volume on this device is a bit too low? The volume on my other phone (iphone 7) feels much more louder. I've tried many volume booster apps on the play store but they have no effect.

The volume levels are abnormally low using headphones. When playing through the speaker, the volume as expected though.
Is there a way to increase max volume from the phone?
I've been thinking about buying a bluetooth receiver to a stereo, but do I have same issue, even with the volume?

I'm having the same issue. On my Philips headphones the volume is very low. The same headphones give superb sound when used with my iPad. Don't know who to fix this issue.
Just purchased Note-2 last week and was upset to know this.
MP3 music volume is low compared to galaxy S-2(my previous mobile) even with different headphones.
I am surprised to know, note-2 is expensive but how come inferior with music.
Annoying thing is if I go to custom equalizer and increase 14k or any slider, the effect is there but volume decrease further. The higher I move slider, the further music volume decrease.
What is this? Help is appreciated, any way to boost its volume. (without rooting)
Thanks,

Definetly volume is much higher than S2. it is in par with S1. maybe your loud speaker is faulty.

I am concerned mainly with headphone volume, that is low.
Pl. share if music sound decreases in your Note-2 when you move equalizer sliders up?

sorry. i never use it with headphones. i mainly leave it at my desk in work and hear some music.
maybe someone else can comment on headphone sound.:good:
Get Noozxoide Eizo app from Play Store. Should help boost the volume.
The stock lg earphones are pretty good, but I have tried other more expensive earphones and they aren't particularly loud, are there a certain type, frequency earphones that suit the optimus G? Or is that the DAC just isn't that good?
Note: yes I know loud music other time damages ears
And yes power amp increases the volume a bit
So i recently got hold of a new One M8, and i love the phone, speakers are awesome and headphone quality is super but the minimum volume is extremely loud, any way to decrease only headphone volume, preferably not an equalizing app, is there a system file i can edit?, thanks.
Hi,
I wanna know if a 32 ohm impedance headphone will output volumes high enough?
Currently 16 ohm in-ear headphones produce volume loud enough?
will the high impedance cause low volume output in the nexus 7?

Ive got 24ohm Sony MDR1RMK2 and it drives fine.. But htc m7 and fiio x1 seem to drive it better
so low impedance == more volume
I was thinking about these http://www.flipkart.com/sennheiser-px-80/p/itmdayyhguhp8dyf?pid=ACCDAXKT8BHHAMHY
BTW hows Lolipop update on nexus 7? hearing lot of complaints about battery drain and poor gaming performance The nexus 2012 Version seems to be slower after the update so is it better i hold off on the update?

This is 2013 nexus 7?
Generally lower impedence means its easier to drive to it cam go louder without distorting. That said, with most normal headphones at normal volume it ahould be enough
Lollipops fine, just flash the proper bootloaders and everything dont half update
Thanks Yes 2013 version
Using 44 Ohms headphones with it (ATH-ESW11LTD). Drives it fine, no distortions or anything, even though I have to go over the halfway mark (which gives a volume warning, even though the actual volume is not that loud)
The DAC in the Nexus 7 2013 is quite good, just not very powerful at all
Hi I had the sennheiser px 100 since 6 year and working well but had less bass compared to the CX200-230 series
