Call Forwarding Menu Item Gone after Update - Samsung Galaxy Watch

Just updated to the Gear Active 2 LTE from my S3 Frontier..
Anyway, it did an update to the app and watch after finishing setup and now the call forwarding feature on the main menu in the wearable app is gone? Is it just me??
I can still call forward using the keypad ( I just saved call forward and cancel call forward as contacts) so I'm guessing it's just a change in the app.

Galaxy SIII and AT&T Voicemail question

I'm trying to set up my google visual voice mail account on my galaxy s 3. When I'm trying to synchronize my visual voicemail account with at&t I keep getting error messages. I am attaching screenshots of these error messages. I have already set up the regular voice mail account through at&t, which I orignally thought was the issue . Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I need to do in order to get this to work properly?

I was going to start off by saying "OMG do a search" but realized that when they merged the forums, not everything made it over...
So anyways, here's my post from the old forums, with details on how to fix Google Voice:
Actually, I found a workaround I had to use with the Infuse...
Yes, you have to do the call forwarding code again: *004*[Google Voice Number]#
Then in your dialer settings, select Google Voice as your voicemail service. It will give you an option box popup which asks you to hit cancel or OK. Just hit the home button to leave the menu. When you go back in, Google Voice is selected, your Google Voice # is your voicemail number, and everything is set up properly.

Click to collapse
When you see the "Change provider?" popup, just hit the home button. Next time you go in, you'll see GVoice is configured.
I believe I have it working now as far as forwarding voicemails, however, I thought Visual Voicemail was integrated in to the dialer now? I went in to "Settings" in Google Voice and selected to display on dialer, but I haven't seen anything yet. Is this feature not compatible with AT&T and/or the Galaxy SIII?

Not sure but think you can use that AT&T messages app for visual VM

T-Mobile - Google Voice crashes when configuring voicemail

I'm having issues getting Google Voice running on my new phone. I had it running on a G2x just fine. Everytime I get to the stage where it syas it will configure voicemail to use Google Voice it comes back with com.android.phone has stopped.
So far as I can tell it's failing to configure voicemail, however unlike my G2x I can't find the voicemail number setting under the phone settings to see what it is set to. I don't know if this is a GSIII thing or something to do with ICS.
Anyone else run into problems configuring google voice?
Restart then try launching voice again.it went away for me. The problem I have now is that I cannot get the old voicemail icon to clear.

You just have to change the forwarding calls number to your Google Voice number. That should be all that needs to be done.

I had this problem too. You can change the forwarding numbers in the call settings or go to the Google voice web page and activite voicemail on the device.
This is what fixed it for me

Thanks guys. I've visited the voice web page and got the number there to input on the device. Hopefully that'll do it.
Clearing old VoiceMail Icon
Disable WiFi Calling
De-Activate Voice on Website from Desktop
Uninstall "Google Voice"
Open "Phone" - where you dial out to make calls
Press "Menu" and then "Call Settings"
Change Voicemail Setting to "Carrier"
Enter "Call Forwarding" Options
Leave the First Option Disabled
Disable the last Option, it will reset to your carrier's voicemail number
Make sure the 2-4 options all have your carrier's voicemail number.
Restart phone.
Call it from another phone and leave a voicemail.
Listen to and delete the new voicemail you just left.
Voicemail Icon cleared.
Now you should be able to setup Voice properly.
*NOTE*
Call Forwarding cannot be changed while WiFi calling is active.
Hope this helps.
Thanks
Thank you so much! That worked perfectly!
It appears that T-Mobile locks down the Voicemail settings (where you can configure the direct dial number for voicemail). GV fails to change that when installing the "Google Voice" Voicemail service.
So far's I can tell on my Amaze is this is the number dialed when you hold down "1" or call "123."
T-Mo reps told me this is a third party app problem, when I told them it was Google Voice, the reps said "Call HTC, it's a hardware issue." HTC's technical support had a good laugh at that. T-Mobile's reps are full of it; they just don't like changing the number.

[VIDEO] Setup Visual Voicemail on the Galaxy Note 2 (AT&T)

I made this simple video just because my device didn't ship with AT&T Visual Voicemail preinstalled, and it is a feature included in my plan.
Perhaps some people don't know it is included in their plan. Either way, a lot of people viewed my video for the S3.
Be gentle. Thanks...
I only wish the visual voicemail app would have the unread count bubble on the icon like the email app and text app...
Yeah. The widget isn't much of a widget huh?
Sent from my HTC6435LVW using Tapatalk 2
I want bubble icons also... :good:
You can also set up Google Voice to do this, it also tells you how many new voicemails you have, don't know about the bubble though
This video shows the dialer codes you want to punch in to forward to your Google Voice number...
--------------------------------
This phone requires a little more input than my CDMA phones. Sorry.. . This was the last video and was taken early in the morning. I was really tired.
Really this should work for all phones on AT&T. iPhones and Android phones.

Check current config: *#61# Call (copy your current phone number for your voicemail!)
Google Voice (best configuration)
---------------------------------------------------------------
Busy Call Forwarding: Dial *67* plus the 10-digit number to which your calls should be forwarded and #. Press Send.
Call Forwarding No Reply: Dial *61* plus the 10-digit number to which your calls should be forwarded and #. Press Send.
Call Forwarding Not Reachable: Dial *62* plus the 10-digit number to which your calls should be forwarded and #. Press Send.
---------------------------------------------------------------
I would not use this unless you are on vacation and want everything to forward or you are changing phone numbers.
Immediate Call Forwarding: Dial *21* plus the 10-digit number to which your calls should be forwarded and #. Press Send.

I've had problems with the One X. Reinstall or try everyday. Then go to AT&T I guess. I finally got lucky with the One X.

check with att whether your data plan has visual voicemail.. I had to talk to att for an hour until they figured out my unlimited data plan did not include visual voicemail. they switched it to anotther unlimted data plan with visual voicemail and it started working.

[Q] Setting up google voice?

Im just running the stock gs3 rom from tmo.
No luck yet with google voice... the phone keeps reverting back to the default voicemail system.
Seems like tmobile is trying to force me to use their app?

there is an issue w/ the stock rom and GV
you can still get by it, just 'skip' the step to set it up as your provider, complete the rest of the setup, then go into your call settings on your S3 and change the settings accordingly.
step by step instructions:
- pull up the 'phone' app
- hit the menu button in the bottom left
- hit the menu button in the bottom left
- click 'call settings'
- scroll down to and select 'call forwarding'
- click 'voice call'
- then change the three settings 'forward when busy' / 'forward when unanswered' / 'forward when unreachable' all to your GV number (add a +1 before your 10 digit GV number)
fyi: google voice call log will still not show correctly on the stock rom in the phone log. when dialing out it will show the phone number it connected to at google voice.
hope this helps! please hit thanks if it helped!

Your step by step did not help me.
Im not trying to use google voice to make calls, but just change my voicemail provider.
When I did not answer my old phone it would say: this google voice subscriber is not available, etc.
And I would be able to view a voice-to-text version of my voicemails through the google voice app, as well as play them from the app.
Currently im forced to call my voicemail in order to listen to / delete my voicemails...

Log into google voice on your computer.
Go to settings >> phones
Find your phone. Click on the activate link if there is one. If there isn't click deactivate and then reactivate it.
I just went through the same thing the other day and I had to reactivate my phone for google voice. It involves dialing some crazy number from your phone, and basically thats it.

Is there anyway to make it show the number you are actually dialing instead of that stupid access number? That has been driving me crazy since release! There was some $2.00 app in the marketplace that was suppose to fix that, but it didn't and I had my money refunded immediately.

Visual Voicemail, how to undo it?

A while back I decided to try AT&T's Visual Voicemail (VV) instead of the built-in app. I'd like to remove it now and revert to the original app but I'm not sure exactly how.
My issues with VV which if I could rectify would make it so I would keep it....
When I get a call that goes to voicemail, the green "phone" app on the home screen will show that i had received a call, but it does not clue me in to that I have a message waiting for me in a different app (Visual Voicemail). So, unless I check VV every time I've missed a call, I have nothing showing me on the main screen that the message is sitting there waiting. At least with the built-in app that came on the phone, I'd see that there was a message waiting and I could have the phone call the voicemail number so I could retrieve the message..
So, either how do I make VV hook up better to the phone app so that it warns me, or if that can't be done, how do I disable VV and make calls go back to the original voicemail app that came with the phone? I'm not sure if simply deleting VV will make everything revert, or if I might need to contact AT$T or possibly have to do something else.....
BTT
Use Titanium Backup to freeze it, that's what I did and also if you have a Google Voice number you can fwd your voicemails to GV and integrate that into the call log and listen to your VM straight from the call log without the need for att voicemail app. You can search on XDA for the tutorial or if you wait I can look up the thread and place it here when I get home.

Thank you for your response! I ended up calling AT&T and having them disconnect it, from their end. They then had me dial "1" and set up my "old" voicemail. Now, at least when I get a voicemail I get some sort of notification, instead of having to open AT&T VV every time I pick up the phone to see if I might have missed a call and gotten a voice message.
If you could link to the tutorial, I'd appreciate it!!!
Curious though...when I go into the settings of the voicemail, the top line shows "Service" (followed by Setup, Notification Sound, & Vibrate). Clicking on "Service" I have a choice of "My carrier" & "Google Voice". I have it set to "My carrier".
I did install GV a while back but never used it. When I click on GV I do have a phone number listed, along with a "welcome" message form GV.. What to do with it, I don't know, so any tutorial or guidance would be quite helpful and appreciated!!!
There may be a multitude of great things that GV can do, but all I'm currently looking for is a way that when I miss a call and the caller leaves a message, that I get notified, and don't have to actively go searching on the phone just to see if I might have gotten a message. My notifications bar at the top is so overcrowded that a voicemail-waiting icon will typically not be on-screen. So, if GV will put a notification on either the lock screen or on the bottom of the home screen near the "phone" icon, I'd be a happy man!!
You could have just deleted the apk from system/app folder
