What are you seeing as your Prs value? (which displays after enabling Developer options and selecting "Pointer Location".
On my 3aXL I have problems glide typing and scrolling. Input will cut in and out. My Prs is stuck at 1.0. And red. Is this normal?
My Nexus 5x varies this value.
Please help. Thank you
Just did it and my prs is 1.0 and red also must be normal I guess
Thanks for checking
So my problem is something else. Glide typing and scrolling is problematic. Safe mode or restarts did not solve. .
Any help is appreciated

I would start with clean flashing the factory image.

Hi All
I have a wierd problem with my Vodaphone V1605...
Whatever flavour of ROM i upload to it - it keeps doing the following:
If in "closed mode" the programs all keep closing like someone is pressing the "X" button constantly.
If in "OPEN" mode the Start menu keeps opening.
it is almost like someone keeps clicking that part of the screen.
Do you guys think it could be a software issue - I would assume it is a Hardware one ...
Regards
Malcolm

As the title says the current app is closed (well minimised) when I power off my device, this is really annoying, is there a registry edit to fix this? It happened in black 2.0 and now in black 3.0.
Thanks
Rob
edit
The app is closing on suspend not complete shutdown

So, I am not sure if I understand. You want the current app to continue running while the device is off ???

sorry my explanation was a bit dodgy, I want the current app to be there when I turn the device back on (I'm talking about just tapping the power button not completely shutting the device down) it used to work like this in wm5 and after initially installing black 3.0 but now its closing the app I was using.
thanks
Rob

I've found out the cause of this problem:-
When I enable a password either pin or alphanumeric, the current app is always closed when the screen is turned off, regardless of weather the device is due to lock or not. Anyone else come across this?
R
I am using Black 2.5 and I have noticed this. It isn't a problem since the application is only minimized but it is annoying if I wanted to go right back to it...like WMP or TomTom.
same experience here. no real issue for me though
Its just annoying when am using a spreadsheet and it minimises, I've disabled lock for now, I doubt anyone would return the device if they found it (yeah am cynical)

Thanks so much for the idea of turning off the screen lock. I was getting rather annoyed with this as well. Saved me some headache! I guess I can do without the screen lock for now. I love xda-developers.com!
Has anybody else had any issues with using the desire when lying down? When doing this I seem to have problems with my input registering on the point I've touched, and will open a link from a completely different part of the screen.
Cheers guys.

you mean when using the device up-side down? (screen facing floor)?
I have found a weird screen registering niggle when using the web-browser. If you pretty the back button on a page, and then you go to click on a link, the Desire seems to register the press slightly lower than it should be, which is annoying. I need to look into this a bit more, but on pages with many links line by line it may cause issues.
This is the same issue as the Nexus One - you have to put the device in sleep by pressing the power button to fix it.
Happens to me sometimes on the Desire ROM, but I find it's less frequent than it was on stock Nexus One, for what that's worth. Oh, and it mostly happens when the device is plugged into a USB port.
Since yesterday im facing this weird crash , i cant recreate it since im not sure whats causing it and it happens at random.
now let me describe the situation :
Phone is in sleep mode *but not necessarily * and vibrates alone, i turn on the screen and it shows me that it wants to send a bug report with a screenshot.
the screenshot is a pic of my lock screen, and the 4mb bugreport.
the thing is, it does not only happen when phone screen is off only, while im chatting the phone slows down i feel it, then a msg pops out that bug report needs to be sent in addition to a screenshot , then it goes back to its normal speed.
i though it could be related to rom/kernel settings *franco 175,aokp milestone5* so i wiped, and happens again ! then i updated to aokp 37, still same.
i believe its a app problem, but which one ? any ways to find out ? that bug report its jebrish to me ^.^
help would be greatly appreciated ! if you need the bug report, i will uploaded it somewhere upon request.
thanks in advance
EDIT : tried standard aokp kernel, and franco milestone3 as well. still same.
As it seem ! i have found the solution ! *fingers crossed*
i never though it could be co-related ... the reason behind these crashes was.... THE COVER !
seems it was a bit tight on the buttons, volume constantly pressing up/down hence no volume change. so when 3 buttons were pressed at once, constanly *+power button* it did weird things and lead to crash.
i tried it, did a frenzy pressing buttons and there you go same crash ^.^
need to observe it further.
*sarcasm on* thanks for trying * sarcasm off*
hi. i would appreciate some help.
I am using a Desire HD w/ Lord's Icecoldsandwhich 8.6.1.
The notification bar has recently become stuck while in portrait mode. This happened about a day after doing a full wipe and flash of ics8.6.1.
I have tried full wipe/ factory reset, randomblain's Jellytime r5.1, exists aospx...the problem has continued. I have set the phone to show visual response to touch and there is no response in the area of the notification bar; however the rest of the screen/ buttons function perfectly.
If you can offer any help, it would be much appreciated. Thankyou.

p.s. I've searched the forums and I could only find a similar issue posted about an EVO 4G user, however there was no conclusive help, only the suggestion to get the phone replaced.
it is possible to be a kernel problem? i have tried reflashing just the kernel, but no improvement so far.
any assistance is much appreciated. sorry for my english.

Just out of curiosity, are you using a Sense 4 theme from the market?
Hi. Thank you for your reply.
No, I always use the default theme that comes with the ROM. I also use the default launcher or Nova if available that comes with the Rom. No additional widgets or extras as well.

Might be a bad flash, I haven't heard of others that had it (as in, your's might be unique).
Here's a somewhat unlikely scenario, but go to developer options>show touches. Then tap the notification bar. If you don't see a touch up there, then it might be another issue altogether.

As I mentioned in the OP i enabled visual touch response and there was no response from the notification area. If I turn the phone on its side and enable landscape mode, the "portrait notification area" which becomes the left side of the screen still gives no response.
I understand this lends strongly to the idea that the phone is damaged, however I came across a post written by an Evo 4G user with a similar issue, except he was able to solve the problem by re-flashing an updated kernel. Unfortunately, I have tried this with no results.
Thank you for your reply ...it seems that this problem is uncommon and I am begin to doubt the availability of a software/firmware based solution.
