Dear Quarx:
Thanks for your cm7!She is very smooth running, and many other advantages. We all like her very much!
Now,many new models support a multi-touch, and more than 2 points. And defy just two points, this can increase it? Could you have the time to research the multi-touch?
Thank you!
Waiting for your good news.
Your fan from China
i can very much agree, love my defy, the only thing missing from it is really the more-than-2-point multitouch, and i read somewhere that the hardware supports it (not sure). is there a way to make it work? thanks for all the effort to make the life of defy users easier, we love cm7!

Dear Quarx:
I also come from China,The same is your fans,!!!
Don't know if kernel and touch-screen both support it.
if this was ture, the only thing we need is new .so drive for screen.
if not, we have to wait for moto's action, but that seems hopeless.
I would like to thank the CM7 and also say that I'm cheering for there to be improvement in the multitouch motorola defy

"Defy support more than 2 points" is a fake news from ITFUNZ and Gfan.
Hardware designed 2 points...
Self-Capacitance touchpanel only support 2 points.
I just ordered my new Note 10.1 2014 and this is my first android device and my first tablet. I was looking for any general advice, tips, tricks with android in general but also with this tablet specifically.
Any help on must have apps(both productivity and game wise), any important settings to adjust when I get the tablet, any features that may be less obvious then say air command, ect
thanks in advance!

Hi. If you want to use it to take notes, there is no app that comes close to LectureNotes. Takes a while to set up - there are loads of settings - but well worth it once it's done. So much more powerful and flexible than any other app for the same purpose.
Unfortunately it sometimes runs slower on the 2014 note than the old one, but the dev is excellent and I'm sure will get it sorted out. It only seems slow when zooming in and using multi window.
Hey guys..
For the first time i am having the opinion that finally a phone has landed in the beloved 4.3" segment which i (among many other fellow thinkers) believe can become my next purchase.
However, i have few questions which i would like others to comment upon:
1) I have always like the UI of Samsung. Currently using a Samsung phone with apex launcher and it is something i am very comfortable with.
Question is: How much close to that UI can i pull a Sony Xperia phone?
2) Can the night photography get better via future OTA updates?
Something like a patch/f.w revision?
3) I like to install good quality case on my phones. Havent seen anything for the z1 till now.
Any news on this dept? I hope the device gets good support from manufacturers like Spigen etc..
4) A bit OT, but somebody pls tell/direct me to ascertain the difference between Android Development Vs Original Android Development ?
Hi,
I don't have Sammy device but I can still answer few of your questions.
1- Sony UI is very nice indeed when I first used it but I use Apex the most as I like to personalised homescreen, icon and drawer.
2-probably YES and there already have new firmware update been approved by Sony for the Z1C. It could be anytime soon and awaiting to see what improvement it does.
http://www.xperiablog.net/2014/02/21/firmware-build-14-2-a-1-142-hits-the-xperia-z1-compact/
3-Already have quite lots of cases around. You could check CASE and SCREEN
4-No idea.

Example here:
If you take source of CyanogenMod, adjust it and build a ROM specifically for Xperia Z1 Compact, it's "Android Development".
But if you create a completely new ROM (or develop a new feature), it's "Original Android Development".

I haven bought z1 compact, but from my usage of XS
If you use a 3rd party launcher, some of the Xperia widget would not be available? This include weather, walkman, photo gallery, notepad, quick toggle widget etc. But, you can always use 3rd party app.

2) From my understanding, using manual mode with proper ISO settings and no flash takes brilliant night photos. I mean, that is generally how you take good night photos with a good camera anyways. While I understand why there is the flash bleed, the flash on a tiny smartphone, let alone a compact point and shoot isn't going to do any good anyways. Unless you have separate lighting, flash ruins anything but a tight portrait shot, and even then, this can mostly be fixed by the simple DIY thread on fixing the bleed.
Short of the Nokia 920 I had, I haven't had a phone that takes particularly good night shots ever. Yeah, some take so-so shots, but nothing has been spectacular, because no other phones have a 3-way OIS (optical image stabilization). 2-way OIS seems somewhat useless.

If you use Apex Launcher, or any 3rd-party launcher, your experience will be VERY similar to that of a Samsung phone with the same launcher.
I myself prefer Themer by MyColorScreen

I sure hope it will, though i prefer slightly darker photos with low ISO noise, but that is all about personal preference. Manual settings can sort it out to some degree.

Z1C is still considered a fairly new device, and where i live people arewaiting in line to get their phone, so as case and accesorymanufacturers see that the device is selling heaps, they will start shipping compatible accessories. I got a dirt cheap wallet-leather folding case-thingy, that i might swap out since I'd like to use the magnetic dock at some point in time.
Bottom line: I have no regrets moving from my S3, and the screensize is perfect. With my S3 i even missed my S1 on some occations because of the one-hand-operating-friendlyness of the latter.
Hope this helps
this is the best device for me. Best battery, design, powerful device

I am using the Case Mate Tough Case which I consider er "good quality case". Unifortunately Case Mate have designed it without access to the Magnetic Charging Port, but as shown in the thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2631321&page=4 you can mod the case to take care of this. All in all I am really happy about both my phone and my case although It obviously would have been preferable if Case Mate had made the cutout for the magnetic charging port themselves.
Did it happen to you ?
My phone (Z1C, rooted, locked BL, UK software loaded as described in XDA roooting procedure)
sometimes forgets settings or set them to random values.
Example:
1. Alarm clock returns sound to default.
2. I noticed that I have 3 extra alarms set, completely at random hours.
Questions:
- Did it happen to you ?
- Any idea what could cause it ?
Never happened to me though I don't use the stock alarm, I use Timely Alarm Clock ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ch.bitspin.timely )
Hello,
I'm thinking of buying this: http://www.sj5000actioncamera.com/
I've never had something like this before but I want to use it with my smartphone. For example, I want to be able to put it on my rear bumper, or tape it to a stick to check the gutters of the roof (is this correct English? ) I can then use the screen of my phone to see what the camera sees.
Also I want to be able to upload video with my phone without using a computer.
Does anybody know if this is easy with something like this? I've also seen an older version: http://www.foxoffer.com/sjcam-sj400...tion-camera-sport-dvr-p-763.html#.VBcPUvl_tUU maybe someone has experience with that?
Thanks in advance

I don't have experience with that particular camera but I have a GoPro Hero3 Black. It has WiFi built in and I never installed the app or used the WiFi feature strictly because I hear it's a real bad battery drain. Don't know how it affects the one you're looking at but I have to imagine it drains the battery a bit. As far as uploading video, I imagine that it wouldn't be difficult as long as you have good data signal and the patience to let the video upload.
All SJ5000 are not the same manufacturer of SJCAM SJ4000.
There are two version of sj4000 wifi,
the original sjcam one has better video effect but not stable wifi
the third party sj4000 has normal video effect but stable wifi
Geekbuying has both of them with price of 112.99usd and 79.99usd
So there is a real difference between the SJCAM SJ4000 lister here: http://www.foxoffer.com/sjcam-sj4000-full-hd-waterproof-action-helmet-camera-p-762.html#.VBtMsvl_tUU and the SJ4000 here http://www.sj4000actioncamera.com?
As far as I can see in the list of specs is that the real difference is the WiFi and the battery (SJCAM offers 50mAh less).
But if I look at the differences in the SJ4000 and the SJ5000 there is no real difference notable, except for the wifi and the battery again. But for the 5 bucks more I guess I'd like some more juice and WiFi
I think I seen somewhere a comparison between SJ4000 and SJ5000 features, and SJ5000 was a lot better, including wi-fi support. Amazing deal for $85 http://www.dx.com/p/amkov-sj5000-14...igital-video-camera-black-339612#.VBzLH7B0z3g - and you can use all GoPro accessories!

According to what I have seen original sjcam cameras are marked as such and are better than their lookalikes. At present the latest sjcam sj5000 plus Ambarella A7LS75 chipped version is off the market by manufacturer as it has a wifi problem being fixed. Some old stock looks like it is being being sold through other dealers though. Some say as good as gopro 3 for much less money. Gopro4 is on aussie market at $549au sjcam sj5000plus is $207au. I am buying mine with 2 spare batteries and external charger for $243au. Around third the price but certainly not a third the quality photography or hardware.
Finally got my SJ5000 for review. Hopefully will get to it in a week or so, so expect a review soon

Actually Sj5000 is not better than sj4000
On youtube some videos show sj5000 is not better than sj4000 camera ,sj4000 is good action camera, but blackview dv800b is better than sj4000. sj 4000 is 1080P camera, but blackview Dv800B is 2.7k camera, 1080P/60fps, On youtube you can get the original videos captured by blackview dv800b,no editing,no music,no subtitle.
I prefere the sj4000 camera
i was on trip in austrian alps and a did this video.
sj 4000 cam, full hd 30fps

As the title asks, is it possible to hack/install apps/modify the Huawei GT 2?
I believe it is an amazing smartwatch with a very nice style and perfect battery life, however the apps and watch faces are very, very limited and I am not seeing any progress from Huawei.
I know that (only one) custom watchface can be loaded, but only if I have my phone rooted and Xposed installed.
What is your opinion, is the GT2 a worthy watch to stick to, or should I wait for it's Honor brother, or ditch them both?

I also have a Huawei GT2, beautiful object but really too closed, at least at the moment ....
We hope we can do something because it's so frustrating
With just the ability to answer the messages/WhatsApp/Telegram would be more than enough. I hope that there's some development too.
Yep fantastic hardware and price point but the software support from Huawei is quite the opposite.
