Hello
Recently I been having call issues when making calls, the call recipient doesn't hear me or hears me at the beggining of the conversation then stops hearing me. This never happens when I receive calls and always happens around my apartment or in the apartment. I'm on a network with Voip and I use Wifi calling but it's set to use 4g if Wifi is unstable. I tried turning both on and off but the problem persists and I've determined it's not an issue with wifi. Anyone experiencing something similar or has any ideas what could be causing this?

As title states, I'm experiencing lag/delay using wifi calling. I can hear what my party says about 2 seconds after they say it and vice-versa... makes normal flowing conversations become frustrating. My ISP isn't lagging and my router isn't having any issues. Anyone else experiencing this? I'm sure some people may not notice it at first....
No lag at all
I have a LOT of experience using UMA on Nokia and others and later the horrible attempt at the software version of WiFi calling on a Motorolla Cliq2 .... overseas etc as well.
And I can tell you conclusively that the new WiFi calling on the GS2 is as good as hardware UMA. No lag. In fact it almost feels / sounds better than a regular cell call.
I was calling my parents in Cambodia with wifi calling and it makes them so clear.usually with regular calling I would hear them fade out or have static.

Occasionally, my outbound calls will end up completely garbled. When it happens, it happens on every call from that point forward until i reboot, then it's fine. I've tried toggling airplane mode as a quick fix, but that didn't work. It happens when i'm at home and calling via my MicroCell AND on the road when making calls via the towers.
It seems to happen after checking my voicemail. I switched from AT&T's visual voicemail to YouMail and it still happens once in awhile.
Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions for debugging?
Thanks
Any issues I have had like that with S3 have been a direct result of being connected to the MCell. Normally I just power cycle the MCell and it clears up the issue. I do have not had it happen to me when connected go a cell tower.
I thought it was an mcell issue, but I've switched to google voice for voicemail and have not had any problems since.

There is no coverage at my home so I rely on wifi calling to make and receive calls. For the last year it has worked just fine but in the last week I began having a very frustrating problem:
If I MAKE a call over the wifi, no problem I can hear them and they can hear me.
If I RECEIVE a call over wifi, I can hear them but they CANNOT hear me.
When I am not on wifi calling (ie using cell), everything works perfectly both making and receiving calls.
I researched the problem and this is what I have tried so far:
1. connecting to different wifi connections in entirely different locations - same problem
2. using bluetooth headphones or speaker instead of the mike - same problem
3. disabling Google Now Voice on every screen - same problem
4. factory reset - same problem
5. made sure I do not have any phone recorder apps installed (I do not)
6. switching the mute button on and off during a call - no change
Can someone please give me some advice or direct me to an answer. Needless to say Metropcs tech support is unable to solve the problem. For me this issue is not trival as I require wifi calling at home as I am in a rural area with no service.
Thank you
This happens to me as well. However, if i am to say "answer", and allow the voice command to answer the call it works properly but starts the call in speaker mode. Then you just turn off speaker, and conduct the call normally.
This has happened to me with most of the roms i have tried.
Haven't you tried on regular call? You listed no coverage in your area.. but, it should be some where 10-20miles away your area..

Yes, If I drive to a covered area and am not on wireless the calls work perfectly in both directions.
Do you figure out yet? I get a sch-m919 has reversal problem of yours. It make wifi call fine. When make regular phone call, they can't hear me and I get hear them. I guess, we have to try out the custom rom.
Both my wife and I have pixel 3's, I have the XL and she has the regular. Both were preordered and delivered at the same time, and we are both on AT&T. Since the beginning we have experienced random issues such as the phone dropping mobile data completely even though the signal shows LTE , and having to cycle airplane mode off and then on again to get data back. The other issue is that we both experienced call issues where our end would drop and we could not hear the other party, but they could hear us fine.
I think I may have traced these issues to WiFi causing the problems. When the data drops, I notice that my wifi is on and occurs when I am not connected to wifi (such as an unidentified network) and on LTE, or when I leave a connected WiFi area (like my house) and keep wifi on. We would have to cycle airplane mode to fix this.
For the calls, I had a call drop yesterday and when I looked at the notification bar it showed connected to wifi. I immediately turned off wifi and the call came right back. I thought this was an AT&T wifi calling issue, so I turned off wifi calling. Today, I was at the post office and had to make a call. Soon after connecting, the call dropped. I checked wifi and it showed unidentified network (not connected), so I turned off wifi. The call immediately came back.
So now, wifi is completely useless to my wife and I. Assuming I don't experience any more dropped data or calls, I cant use wifi to ensure good call quality and constant data.
Anyone else experience this? Could this be an RMA issue? Seems weird that it is happening to both phones. Is there a setting we should turn off that could be causing this?
i have a similar problem where if i am on wifi, when i get off wifi my lte or h+ will show bars but have a small x in the bars. i have to cycle airplane mode to get data back after i switch wifi off. i may just make a tasker task to do this.
i had a call from an s9 yesterday where i could hear them but they couldnt hear me. i think i was on wifi. we tried 2-3 times but he couldnt hear me. when i switched to my google voice phone number and called him, he was able to hear me fine.
there is another thread around here about similar issues. i might try to get a new sim card since this one is almost 9 years old.

I may have started that original thread a while ago, but since it was more focused on the data drop thing I created a new thread to help narrow the conversation towards the wifi issue. I went to ATT when I first had the data drop issue and got a brand new sim so it is definitely not that.
Does anyone else have this issue with their redmagic 6pro? Sometimes, even if I have a full signal I can't make any calls or receive any. People tell me I'm offline or switched off. Also, the signal quality is really bad compared to my Samsung s10e I have to restart the phone to receive calls again. FYI nothing to do with my sim provider, I'm on a contract.
