Overwelmed updating XRC PX5 unit because bluetooth doesnt work. - MTCD Android Head Units General

I have been searching and reading post after post about how to update my unit to fix an issue I am having. My bluetooth and wifi only work like 10% of the time after hard resets. I was able to find a post that has the same issue and a possible fix for the same issue here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=78204931&postcount=70
If anyone else has seen this issue please let me know
But it looks like I need a custom ROM or MCU to get that to URL fix to work? I have done a ton of reading but its just all overwhelming for me on what I should be updating/updating too. This is my unit information:
It seems like my manufacturer XRC is not that common and i cant find many information on what updates work on it. I would like to get the newest I can if possible while Im updating.
Any help would be very appreciated. I am sure this gets asked a lot, but I tried and failed to figure it out on my own :crying:
Thanks

anyone able to help?
thanks

no luck yet
Still stuck with no bluetooth is there maybe i way i can run the script without rooting it? and would any XRC MXU work with my resolution?

still no luck any help would be appriciated

Heeeellllppppp!!!!!!

I was flashing a my Hermes with a couple different ROMs (as I have done before) and for some reaason the one I got was a beta (which didnt specify). ANyways, now I cant even see my screen just a message that says 'This conlcudes the test of the software release....' Point is I cant get activesync to connect and can't get in to flash it to something better or what i had before.
The ROM i used was SX1.19949.3G.6MBPP
now I'm freaking out and can't seem to find it anywhere or how to fix it. Please somebody help me out here. WHat can I do?????
Also I found out this ROM is WM6.1 and maybe that's why its not connecting. I am trying to use Mobile Device center on vista to see if it connects but so far nothing on that end either.
Is there any other way of flashing that I can do without using activesync?
I figured it out. Thanks for looking though.
loooool.too funny.Check next time in threads, you might find answers. Same thing happened in 4.40beta in schaps, and he resolved it by guiding them through it.
Glad to know all went well with you

[Q] How to get error log?

Hello guys,i just wanted to know how to get the error log out of my device? I mean, where can i find it? For the past 4 or 5 weeks my phone randomly restarts and ask me if i want to send the error report to HTC,of course i send it but i wanted to know how to get it myself on my PC.Maybe somebody here knows what is wrong with my device and could help me stop this restarts that my phone has because HTC have no response for me after several emails.I think it's a software problem and not a hardware problem.I keep reading the forum about the hardware malfunctions that other people have but my device has none of the simtoms that the other people have with the hardware faults,so this is posibly just a software problem.
Thank you,and sorry for the long post.

Zeki TBDG874 Tablet

Just got this tablet a couple days ago.
Zeki Tablet TBDG874. It has 4.2.2 Jelly bean. I have been trying to find a way to root it. Have tried several different ways to root(including the update.zip, and crystalroot.zip) and they fail which a expected considering it is a different version of Android OS. Also cant even seem to find a usb driver that works for it either. If i could find a usb driver could dig further in but can't seem to find one anywhere. Called Zeki customer support and they informed me the tablet is very new and they don't have any drivers for it either. Was rather surprised by it, and was also notified they didn't know what rooting was even though i tried to explain it, that was in vain.
Anywho, I am wondering if somebody could send me perhaps there working drivers for usb and maybe they might work on it, or if any other ideas i'm open to try them If you need more info let me know. . If this is in the wrong place, please move accordingly. I have been lingering on here for quite some time but never needed to post before due to great people on here always having a answer for nearly every problem i have had with any android device.

Well finally found drivers for this tablet. If anyone needs them send me a message and i will try and send it. Cant post things yet or i would put them here. However have not found a way to root it yet. Have tried many tools and methods so far to no avail. If anyone has any ideas i'm willing to try anything. I really dont want to have to send it back but it may be looking like i have to. It keeps locking up and have to reset it alot to make it usable again.

mandamelo
ami mandame los drivers mi correo es [email protected] mandamelo porfavor lo necesito
King root was the only way I could root mine, but the tablet went crazy after about 2 months and quit booting.
The only other way I could think of that I didn't try was to push /system/xbin through adb.
Another useful tool was called Uberizer, but it requires full adb access to push superuser.
Lmk how you make out...

Could you please send me my mail [email protected] update.zip?
If the driver is recommended you use Android tablet Multi Tools v1.02b will serve to remove the screen lock or wipe cache, etc ...
I know this is super old... but...
hey this prob sounds stupid but would the"drivers" you speak of fix my tablet that won't boot fully? it won't factory reset either. I've never tried rooting or anything.. it just stopped booting past where it says "Android" back in like 2012 or something & I just decided to pull it outa the closet and see if I could find a solution. thx!

Help with editing firmware for Tonghai headunit

Hi guys. I have a tonghai headunit that its stuck in boot. Just reboots everytime. This is due to a corrupted logo in the /etc/logo/ folder. The file is Audi.png
This os firmware i can succesfully flash http://www.mediafire.com/?4idf16t2w5uffl4
The problem is that it wont format the logos, so after the flashing, the issue maintains.
I have no hardware buttons. Just the reset the reboots the device or send it to force flash.
Can i somehow connect the unit to PC using a cable like otg?
Can someone with knowledge edit the fw to format the unit?
I have a system dump with the original logo files of that helps.
I dont know what to do.
Thanks
bump
I can't really help but if you want those that can then you'll need to post a lot more info on your unit.
Like what is it's processor, resolution, current rom, mcu version. And it must have worked at some point. So tell then what you did between it working and not working cos that is likely the problem.
Like I said, I can't help even if you post all that but the guys that know will at least have half a clue.

Hi
did you solve the problem ( i've the same)?

[tech support] Pumpkin PX3 MTCE HU, started bootlooping, need help recovering

Hello all,
I've run into an issue with my new head unit. I was just trying it out before installing it, got it powered up from my bench supply to test, and as soon as I installed a couple of apps (Plex and Google Play Music) it started bootlooping on me.
I figured I would go ahead and install a CFW since I do that for all my android devices anyway, but I've gotten myself into a pickle now. I can prompt the unit to attempt a firmware update, but all of the firmware releases I've found are in nupdate.img format, and the recovery is looking for a "kupdate.zip" format. I did try using the SD_Firmware_Tool to build an sdcard for this, but it seems to just be getting ignored.
The current behavior is that I get the "Pumpkin" bootloader logo, then it reboots. It no longer even shows the "android" loading screen as It did before I tried using the SD_Firmware_Tool.
For reference, I was trying to use the Hal9k rom from here
Getting to the onboard update menu works by holding the power button (pushing down the volume wheel) and hitting the reset button. I haven't been able to get it to boot into any other recovery modes yet, but if anyone happens to know of another button combo that should be working, please let me know.
I've put in an email to pumpkin support but I have a feeling they'll take a while to get back to me with the firmware, so hoping someone else might have something I can use in the meantime.
Well apparently I was mistaken about what CPU is under the hood of this thing (was going by a user review on the amazon page where I purchased it.)
According to the recovery it's loading into, this has an RK3368 rather than the RK3188 I expected
Little Update:
I'm trying out this unbrick for the PX5 to see if I can get it to use a more robust recovery. The current one keeps trying to mount a nonexistant drive location to run the kupdate.zip, and most of the pictures I've found of people's recoveries floating around on here have had the option to choose update files from different locations, so I think the recovery on this needs an update.
It's so far booting to a black (backlight on) screen and not progressing, so I hope the firmware update is going in the background and I just need to wait it out. Anyone know how long that firmware update process should take?
well I think my unit may just be new or different somehow, as none of the unbrick metbods seem to be working at the moment.
I've attached some pics of the unit's internals to see if that can help find a solution

I suppose there were some assumptions made based on what's already available on the market.
If it's not an MCT(#) then what is it?

An XDA search for [kupdate] yeilds the information.
Made some progress on figuring this module out
