[Q] Wi-fi N connection to Dlink DIR-655

I can't get my Note II to connect to my Dlink DIR-655 running in N-Only mode. My Blackberry Torch would connect and my laptop has never had an issue either. I have not changed anything recently and have been using this router with it's current settings for over a year without issue. The N2 sees the wi-fi network but, fails to connect once the password is entered (password verified). I can connect to other G mode wi-fi routers just fine.
DIR-655
Firmware Version: 1.35NA
Hardware Version: A1/A2
802.11n - Only
40MHz
WPA2 + AES
Anybody else experiencing this problem?

Hi 09GraySilverBusa
I have a DIR-825 and I had almost the same problem with my note 2 but I kept getting the reauthorizing problem. I went to dlink and posted there and the thing that finally worked for me was to change from AES to TKIP.
I have my 2.4 ghz band set at n and g
Auto 20/40 mhz
Auto (WPA or WPA2)
5GHz band is set to n only with all the other settings the same.
Hope this helps

Thanks but, I suspect your Note II is connecting via G mode. Also running in N only mode I can't select TKIP instead of AES. I'll try posting in the D-Link forum.

[Q] Tab 3 8 wi fi WEP

My home router uses WEP filtering. After I have entered the wifi MAC of the tab3 in the router filtering, the tab will not connect to my wifi. Keeps asking me for a password. Any thoughts on bypassing the password prompt on the tab3.
Linksys WRT54GS WEP isssue
Solved the WEP wifi setup issue. Entering one of the generated passcodes from the routers wireless security menu allowed the Samsung to log into my network. Strange because the Samsung galaxy 3 phone did not require nor ask for a password. Likely only an issue for those with a decade old router.

can't connect my D-link IP Camera remotely...

I wonder if there are some hardware limitation which prevent my Xiaomi Redmi 1s to connect remotely to my Dlink ip camera and also a Tenvis IPRobot3 - both cameras connect fine via WiFi and also worked remotey on my Samsung i9000....on second thoughts, this might be an intricate issue with the many security features hidden in the many dialogues of the MIUI system.
Any idea?

Wifi connecting and disconnecting automatically

Hi ,
I have recently installed a wifi of bsnl ftth in my home. All devices in my home are working on it except mine and another two devices. I am using redmi note 5 pro and i also have redmi note 10 in both devices wifi is connecting but it is showing notification that wifi has no internet access. So i have to change the ip settings to static and entered the ip address and dns manually and after doing that it connects to wifi but the problem is after 4 to 5 seconds wifi disconnects and connect back automatically and it happens again and again
can anyone help me to fix this problem ?

VPN (IPSec Xauth PSK) connection issue

I am having issues using VPN between OnePlus 7T (OxygenOS 11.0.6.1) and AVM FRITZ!Box 7490 (FRITZ!OS 7.29). No error regarding incorrect credentials - simply not connecting and resulting in failed connection after about one minute. FRITZ!OS is until now (except latest beta versions) only able to use IPSec Xauth PSK. This has been also an issue for connections from Android "long time ago" (last on Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 (SM-T710) running LineageOS 16.0) but not anymore since a few Android versions on multiple devices. Anyone an idea?
Almost forgot: No issue at all from the same device using VpnCilla - same as in the past but not the smoothest solution.

Addition: Same issue with AVM FRITZ!Box 7560 (also FRITZ!OS 7.29).
did you solve the problem?
I'm having the exact same problem on Oneplus 9 Pro, the latest Android 12 and my Fritzbox 6660. Any ideas?
