You realize there's an entire thread dedicated to downloading firmware for the U1 and U models? Links are in the OP.

You can also try the SamFirm tool. Just Google it.

With all do respect, I do realize this and I downloaded the files from that thread muliple times and get an error when unzipping. As stated "I tried downloading form here multiple times and I keep getting error code 0x80004005 wont let me extract,
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-10+/how-to/n975u-n975u1-firmware-links-t3957648
I also stated sites like Samfirm work but at only 15k downloads it will take a day. So I'm looking for an alternative, Thanks for the quick response. But not helpful.
Update I was able to download this file. N975U1UEU1ASH4_N975U1OYM1ASH4_XAA_9.0_5File_(by_firmwarefile.com) but it Failed.
I'm thinking the beta might have changed something that make it unable to to back to Pie.
Anyone else looking to go back and had success please chime in,
2 tools, one is called Sam tool as mentioned, the other is frija. They both do the same thing and you can download the latest official firmware.
Then use odin to flash to the phone.

Just to make sure you're using the right thing...SamFirm is NOT a website. It's a PC program that connects to Samsung's servers. You won't find anything faster than that.

By the way, the file you downloaded won't work. That's a v1 bootloader. The beta is a v2 bootloader. You can NOT downgrade the bootloader. The latest version of Pie is v2, so you can go back to that one.
As I said use the SamFirm tool, not a website. And it will download the latest version automatically. Model is SM-N975U1 and region is XAA.

Use 7ZIP on your PC. That always works for me. Native unzipping or even trying on a Mac doesn't work.

Just followed these directions and I have root on my Verizon Galaxy S7
http://forum.xda-developers.com/att-galaxy-s7/how-to/root-s7-att-g930a-g935a-t3410538
Currently flashing (via flashfire) Xposed framework
What's the update? You get xda on there? I don't trust an att root for my verizon phone.
I never took any OTA's on my phone. This is PB1. I haven't seen any glitches with it yet. YMMV.
Did you get g935 or g930?
title says all
I can confirm successful root on Verizon Galaxy S7 on their most recent/latest OTA G930VVRU2APE1 using these steps. Naturally, you use the G930x file @brandon110 (the G935x is for Edge variants).

You may have the wrong version of ODIN. There's a variant made by PrinceComsy that bypasses the hash check to allow the flash.
Specifically, you want this version:
http://d-h.st/gsDA (Odin3 v3.12/PrinceComsy)
You also want ONE of these rooted boot images:
http://d-h.st/o3hm (any Galaxy S7)
http://d-h.st/kDWz (any Galaxy S7 Edge)
Make sure you grab the right version.

He shouldn't need that for the Verizon variant. That was only for AT&T and I was able to flash the boot file with the current version of Odin (not the one posted in that thread.)

I'll post a link to my google drive once I have all of that in place. Now what I'd like to know is if you would like it all in part ie. rom zip then the odin zip and the recovery zip and the drivers zip or would you like it in one big zip file? Let me know. That way I can get up to the drive that most of the users want it in. Thanks and glade we still have devs that work on this old but still kick a$$ phone.

I tried to flash mine through ota update. Somehow damaged my sim.
I realised a day later that i could not send an sms message. Recieve ok send no. Everything else was fine. Lucky i had my girl's sim to test it.
Had to get a new one at the store. They tried to charge me. Ha!

Yes. it was. The file I downloaded from here (QD2 Update) would not complete flashing. So I ODINed the PL1 firmware and tried to flash again. did not work. blahdiblah.
Eventually I went through the OTA update from PL1. the phone rebooted telling me to insert sim. I managed to restart the phone and get the sim recognized, but the sim was damaged somehow with it not being able to send text messages.
Went to the store. they at first tried to charge me for a new sim.... but then the guy remembered that I had previously called his manager complaining that he was too good of a salesman.... then he told me straight: "we've had a bunch of complaints about that problem" (OTA updates breaking SIM cards)
So, Just to be on the safe side, I take the sim out from now on.
Alright.

Network Problem
hey. Guys i have a sm-n900t but my sim card wont read. There is a round circle with a line in it and when i try to call some it say "mobile network not available" please help me guys...
I suspect you may have an out of date modem that's not compatible with the latest Lollipop update. My initial questions to you are did you install this update via OTA or using ODIN and what OS did you have prior to installing this update? If your currently installed modem is indeed out of date, the first troubleshooting step would be to re-flash the N900TUVUFQD2 firmware using ODIN.
If I'm on this baseband version, can i flash the Dompop rom: https://forum.xda-developers.com/no...rom-dompop-urv1-tekhd-edition-note-4-t3060175
Or do i need to change baseband version??
Also, to root my note 3 should i follow this guide or something else? https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2672393

ODIN should update the modem partition when you flash the latest firmware, I'm not sure why yours didn't update unless you somehow flashed it incorrectly. I'll record a video on how to do if you'd like.
I have the SM-N900TUVUFQD2 from T Mobile, but not on a major network.

Alright, sounds like there needs to be some clarification here.
#1. I installed the update via ODIN, and IF you flashed the update via ODIN as well, your baseband WILL update (assuming something didn't go wrong, in which case I recommend a re-flash to ensure the process completed successfully).
#2. I never intended this to become an error reporting thread, I was simply posting a notification for those who didn't know about this update. You should go post about this in the Troubleshooting section of this Note 3 (TMO) subsection.
#3. If you want to complain to me saying "This update broke my phone!!"... It's not my software, therefore it's not my problem. All modifications (this includes firmware flashes) are YOUR responsibility and YOU perform it at YOUR OWN RISK.
Go look around on XDA, everyone says "PERFORM AT YOUR OWN RISK".
Hope this cleared most of it up, if not... go re-read it because you probably didn't ACTUALLY read it.

I think its possible by remote unlocking.

Mr3p thanks for the quick response and this agrees with mostly everything I found on line. What's causing my confusion is I have a toggle in Settings/systems/developers options: enable OEM unlock. I can use adb to boot into fastboot without any trouble but the only patched image (patched_boot_10b.img) i have is for LM-710EM ver V10b. I want to make sure it is compatible with 710ulm. my full version number V10b-LAO-COM, Build# OPR1.170623.032. I would appreciate any input you have on this.
thanks
Zb
cheeze.keyk is correct that the G7ULM can be remote unlocked by loading a V35 engineering bootloader in place of your current bootloader. If you are comfortable having someone remotely access your phone via PC then it can be done, see link he referenced. My comments were regarding unlocking via normal LG unlocking process.
I'd have to look up that version number but doesn't match up with G7ULM. Can you do a screen shot where you are seeing it in your phone?
G710 ulm ?
Sure . You can .
At first, please update to 11b, i will show you. If u have telegram. Give me ur info.

I'd have to look up that version number but doesn't match up with G7ULM. Can you do a screen shot where you are seeing it in your phone?

11b? Current firmware for G710ULM is G710ULM10j
Is the unlock method you can't discuss here remote bootloader unlocking via v35 bootloader? If there is a way for us to do it ourselves I'm all ears.

Can I assume that following the procedure for rooting the 710EM will work on my phone?

No it will not work because your phone is a G710ULM just loaded with a different model firmware. My best suggestion would be to restore ULM firmware back on the phone.

How would I do that, I bought the phone less than a week ago and this is how it came. The security firmware is from May 2018 and LG bridge says it's up to date. Thanks for your help. Zb

You can use LGUP windows app if you are comfortable recovering from failure if it soft bricks otherwise I would advise using command line to flash ULM firmware exactly as described.

It seems this was a unlocked or flashed US sprint phone if a previous life. not sure if it has a stock rom I can flash it with, LGUP seems fairly straight forward but I'm not sure what to flash it with. My IMEI says this model is an LGG710PM. again any suggestions from you would be appreciated.
@ValKyre thank-you for the offer but i'm sorry but I'm not willing to grant remote access.

Unless I missed something, that's the first you've mentioned that your phone is Sprint model. It may be out there somewhere or you may have better luck searching however I looked for Sprint .kdz a couple of weeks ago but couldn't find one. You haven't mentioned your wireless provider so it's hard to make a recommendation but if you can't locate Sprint model firmware, I would flash the phone with the latest G710ULM firmware as that's the carrier unlocked version and should have the greatest compatibility. I vaguely recall reading someone taking a phone like yours back to a Sprint store where they were able to flash the phone back to Sprint firmware so you might consider trying that also.

@mr3p you're correct I just learned it was sprint model when I went to lg's site to download the firmware to revert it back as you suggested with lgup. It states that sprint, and all the major USA carrier's, can't be flashed. I Will give the 710ULM firm ware a try. I'll let you know how that goes. BTW thank you again for your help, Zb

@MrP3 thank you for your input, after soft bricking the phone I found the correct DLL for LGUP and was able to upgrade to ver lg710ulm2g. this version still comes with the bootloader unlock option in the developer menu> i'll continue to research/play with it to see if root is possible.

I am confused. If your phone is Sprint IMEI do you mean that it was a Sprint G7 loaded with ULM software? If your phone is Sprint model are you saying that ULM firmware is the only requirement to achieve root?

I had the J version 9G710ULM10j_00_NAO_US_OP_0219.kdz) but that is what bricked me, the only update that took was [GFI]G710ULM10g_00_NAO_US_OP_0913. I am making the assumption that the same 'LGUP Common DLL' should work regardless kdz file I use. I just can't seem to find a newer firmware file that doesn't stop after 11%.

Did the failed firmware load occur with the windows app or command line as suggested?
hi guys and thank you for a great forum.
Ive been trying to flash my phone from current pie 1kr korean to android 10 1kr stock rom from lg-firmwares and it get stuck on bootloop. ROM file used is "G710NOP30d_00_OPEN_KR_OP_0429.kdz"
I have tried other stock roms without luck.
only thing that works is rollback to Pie G710NOP20k_00_OPEN_KR_OP_1220.kdz
I am assuming my environment on win 10 is working as i can flash back to pie and phone boots correctly.
any idea what i should try next. ive been phone less for 2 days getting annoying. any help would be appreciated.
thanks in advance.

Try to crossflash using crossflash guide.
BTW why are you not getting this update officially through OTA?

Also check if the kdz is downloaded properly. File size needs to be above 3gb.
Lg-firmwares is showing only 700mb file.

I wish i did get it on OTA but this is a refurbished phone from aliexpress without serial number (S/N is on the back of the phone but not in OS). if you guys know how i can enable OTA on g710n in spain please do let me know.
file size is above 3gb and also lg up is not complaining as i know it does initial check before flashing.
I just cross flashed with this kdz file G710EM30b_00_OPEN_EU_OP_0707.kdz without any luck it still gets stuck on lg logo.

There is a thread in guides section called android 10 for g710. Maybe you can try their methods there or ask them for help as they have the same model as you.
