If you take your time and read properly, the answer is so close it can bite. The link is in the first post where download the file!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=34345261&postcount=1
This way you wont have to look.
I don't mean to be snark but there are too many questions from people who don't look properly and rather someone else do the work for them!

thanks

ok thanks for these links. I have rooted it and unlocked it like explained on the link. I was on an galaxy s3 before. Was easier on that lol. So i had to use cdm comments and after getting the massage (path not found) i figured out to change the path and all good for now. CM tho dosnt work. i can get into cm recovery but it wont let me back up. it says no path. I tried goo manager and it works. i could backup. so now the problem is that i cant uninstall system apps. im using root uninstaller and tried a few other tools. it wont work. Did i miss something? the other thing is im getting weak signal strength compered to my s3. Half as much bars. My battery drains crazy fast on that device i dont know why Im starting missing my s3(
again thanks for the links im new on here and trying to learn

Listen im new to this whole android thing. I am trying to learn how to do this before I try and do it my self. I don't understand I am just trying to learn how to root and install roms. I tried to use the toolkit and as said earlier my os 4.1.2 is not available. Should I just use the one that has the 4.1.1... I don't know that's why I'm asking.. I'm pretty sure this is a q and a section so whats the big deal?
Because we all learned by reading....your question should be where should I start to learn all this fun information...I'm sorry for being rude, but its definitely not what this site is about. ...

Dont be an Mod Edit, sometimes when you are a noob and you dont know you need someone to guide you, When I first found the XDA site I didnt know anyhthing about rooting or intalling roms, but luckily me I found good people who helped me and now I know alot, yes You need to read but sometimes help is good too, so if you are gonna be a scumbag just keep your nose out of threads like this, He didnt ask for your help expecictly, or did he? so whoever that wants to help him is their own business, so quit being a Mod Edit

Try to root with the exploit in the link above. Otherwise try the original rooting method below.
In the "AT&T Galaxy Note II Android Development" sub-forum, this [REF] thread is at or near the top...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1987541
In the thread pasted above are instructions to root:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1980644
You can also view the video tutorial (link is next the the 'Forums') by clicking the 'Root Info' link (next to the 'Forums' link toward the keft on the XDA 'AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note II' forum page) which visually shows the procedure in the link above.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1870#tutorial
Once Recovery and Superuser app are installed (through Chainfire's or other dev) rooting method, you can reboot into Recovery....backup your current ROM...wipe cache...wipe Dalvik...factory reset...then flash the ROM of your choice.
Look at the ref threads (if any) at the top of each sub-forum. Since the rooting instructions are in the Dev section, I can see how this could be confusing for newbies (not a ref in the Q&A or General section). As other members have stated, search is your friend. Yes, there is a lot of info to read on and that may come up in searches (will probably take you a few days). You have to take the time to read up on all these aspects of rooting (rooting, ROM, recovery, kernel, etc). or expect to be flamed hard on this site.
Made it way to easy man......

I have used this method to root , previously not rooted, brand new, ATT NOTE 2 with 4.1.2
I can conform that this method works.

Arggg, team win recovery project seems to not be letting me do this install, it keeps failing. Any ideas?
You don't use the recovery to flash the RUU. Follow the instructions on the RUU thread.
If you have never fastboot anything your probably crying in a corner sucking your thumb right now ...dont be scared !! Its easier than it looks , anybody with a brain who can read can do it , good luck ?

I did read what was said and did what I was told, please dont get mad. I am just trying to understand. It loads the wile then you have to reboot and it does nothing.
What's all the invalid version info about? Nonetheless, I can't say I have seen a HBoot look like that before without the other settings. Usually they are there. I am thinking it's corrupt.

You mad bro? Did you look at the pic? It's a problem. Please enlighten him as to HOW to get to fastboot usb with that. AND to follow that guide, you need S-Off, if you did look at the pic you would see the OP does not have that. Remember we were all new at this once and needed help too.
I know I am a fool but I cannot seem to remove root, Will someone please help me?
here is a screen shot of what happens, please help me. Also I do not have S-off, that may be an issue?

The requirements in the beginning of the thread says that you need to have an unlocked bootloader and S-Off. You can't change to the Google Play Edition with S-On.

[Q] Running out of ideas...

Hey guys.
I'm desperate for some help with my LG G PAD 8.3 tablet.
All i simply want to do is put cyanogen mod ROM on the device, and I can't believe how difficult it is proving to do.
I have been all over the internet and spent around 4 days researching in to the whole process and every time I follow various online steps, guides and you tube videos i end up putting the tablet in to a software brick and then have to use the LG recovery tool to get the tablet working again. It's driving me insane!
So first of all i rooted the tablet using towel root. I then get a message saying that the device is rooted. I then download the super su app and that goes fine. I then try to get TWRP or CWM on to the device so i can back up the current running operating system and it's down hill from this point. The device reboots and comes up with:
Secure booting Error!
Cause : boot certification verify
it's happened 4 times to me now. I just can't figure out how to get this device doing what I want it to do. I see loads of videos and success stories of people having no problems getting cyanogen mod on to the LG tablet so what do i do? Is there someone that can provide a detailed step by step instruction to get this right?
i'm at the point of just giving up on it and being stuck with a poxy horrible LG stock look.
PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!
Anyone???
If I missed it in your OP, remind me, but what variant model of the 8.3? VK810.4G? V500? V510?
Sent from my VK810 4G
Sorry. Yes it's the v500 variant. I really wanted get this sorted and will appreciate everyone's help.

LG G4 help needed!

I have the lg g4 h815 international model. It is rooted and has the boot loader unlocked, I manually upgraded to android 6.0 and then a few weeks or months after I was just on a normal day. So I turned my phone off, then when I needed to turn it back on it failed to start up only showing the lg logo with the boot loader unlocked sign in the top left. I tried all that I knew how to. I went into TWRP recovery and wiped all the data from it. I tried to boot up but it would not and it said that I have no OS installed, however I was sure I did. So }I tried the kdz method of restoring my phone but the lg flash tool 2014 seemed to not respond instantly.
Next I tried downloading the stock files and stock ROM and tried to flash them, but when I attempted to flash them using TWRP it froze and went back to the LG logo screen with the boot loader sign in the top left and it wont let me do anything. I can still go into download mode and recovery though. I have tried every method I know of and I am really stuck. If someone knows how to fix it then please reply, thank you.
If anyone knows how to fix it then please reply, thank you.

I tried this but when I attempt this, TWRP freezes and it takes me back to the LG logo with the boot loader unlocked sign. Because it keeps freezing I cannot restore a backup or download a custom ROM and I am stuck on what to do.
EDIT: Also when trying to use the kdz method the lg flash tool 2014 just fails and force closes.

i bought one of the straight talk samsung galaxy j3 phones from walmart on black friday for $50 thinking i was going to use it on my tmobile account. i have been scouring the net trying to find a recovery image or an app that can root or unlock this phone and have had no success. ive tried the usual stuff, kingroot etc, and the stuff that is out for other models of the j3 dosent work either (j320a j320fn, etc) i really cant even seem to find and real info on the phone which is weird because i dont think the phone is even that new. does anyone have any info on this or can point me in the right direction? even info on how to force, (or trick ) straight talk into unlocking it would be acceptable.

I may have a root method. There is a SuperSu zip that is supposed to root when flashed with Odin. I can't find a custom recovery yet though and this is my main phone, though I could switch over to an old Droid Bionic I recently rebuilt.

I did do something very similar, or kind of similar recently. After installing Lineage 14.1 in order to get root you have to flash a superSu zip. However this was on an S5 so I'm not sure if it would work on this model. I wish I wouldn't have lost my J, I may be able to help more. However for less than these phones cost, you can have an S5 or S6 (occasionally I even run into S7s for under 100. Even a 2 or 3 year old flagship is far above these vl series. (and they're easy to root plus have tons of custom ROMs, mods etc.)
