Why don't you post this on the respective thread instead.
And, I didn't have any such problem on Crdroid 7.0.

Then why don't you ask your original question in the thread I linked?
I don't run crdroid, I run Tesla 7.0 - which is a different base & works great, so I can't really try and help you any further. But if you go to the crdroid thread someone may have an answer for you there.
Good luck with everything
I have a Fire HD 10 that's rooted, but still is running FireOS (5.6). That's caused a problem for its use as a security panel as the software it uses relies on pure Android and has issues with FireOS.
Now that I'm rooted, I'm not sure what the best path is for wiping away FireOS and replacing it with Android 6 or above.
Thanks...

There isn't a path at present as no custom ROMs are available for the HD 10 platform. Maybe in time ...
There is now an unofficial Lineage OS rom in the original Android development section.

At present there are no custom ROMs for the 2019 HD10 varient. Custom ROMs for older HD10s are generally based on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) or 7.1 (Nougat).
Edit: fixed typo

So back to my question, is there a ROM (Lineage or other) that uses anything above 5.1 ?
I am using a rooted HD10" suez.
Thanks

[Delete] - I bugled the original response as evidenced in subsequent posts.

At present all suez custom ROMs are based on Android 5.1. A custom kernel is required to go higher which is quite difficult to build as hardware interfaces are largely undocumented on Amazon gizmos.

Yikes - My mistake! I was thinking Suez was a different generation. Apologize for the misinformation, @Thibor69

So will these CFWs allow me to get rid of all of this crazy bloatware and constant annoying ads in my Fire HD8?

What custom firmware are you asking about ? This post is almost 4 months old, I havent done much with my Kindle in months now. Got a new Galaxy TAB S6 now.
So i recently re-installed Lineage OS on my old nexus 5 and i was wondering, how can i install Xposed on to it, with framework and app and all that? With the search results online i am not getting really far, i don't quite know what version to install , how to do it etc....
Note: i need Xposed specifically to install multiple custom watchfaces on a huawei watch GT2.
I tried installing a version, but it just reseted my phone, and when i check the Rooted sate of the phone i get "not rooted" or something like that.
I installed LineageOS via TWRP on the phone.
Can you guys help me out here? i did not root or install custom FW on a phone in a loong time and i am out of the loop of recent hacks and stuff.
Thanks in advance

Main point for xposed: what Android version? For xposed I recommend nougat. LinageOS 14.1 is still getting security patches.

Is there a GSI for One UI Android Q for arm-A-only device?
[1. Explains how to build GSI
https://thespandroid.blogspot.com/2019/07/how-to-port-oem-specific-roms-as-gsi.html
2. OneUI 2 (Android Q) Zip for Note 8

Havent tried it myself, but please share your outcome.]
1. You will not be able to build Android Q GSI because the system does not mount, only the developer erfan knows about its workaround.
Sorry, I havent seen that.

Does it boot tho?
Hey guys,
As the title suggests, I'm looking for help in flashing GSI's(Generic System Images). I was looking through the Android developer website for Android 12 today and the 'Get a Generic System Image' tab caught my eye. I was wondering if any of you guys have experience in installing GSI's and could briefly outline the steps needed.
Here's the link of the Android 12 GSI if you're interested.
I guess I should post this is the general questions section but this is the device(Redmi Note 8) I can afford to experiment with at the moment so here I am.
Thanks in advance.
