I just replaced the screen and touch of my phone, and also the battery, and I'm having trouble with the touchscreen when turning the screen on. It takes about 10 to 12 seconds to get a response since I turn it on and it moves. After that, it works GREAT, until you turn off the screen again. Then it goes all around again.
The dude told me that the battery had some lithium leakage, but didn't know if the phone was affected or not.
Any ideas? Could it be from the leakage? or maybe a faulty touch/screen? Or incompatibility since it's not the ORIGINAL screen?
Hi Friend, has the same problem here, went back to repair shop and they changed my screen with a new one (warranty), now it's working perfectly.

Just made a call for 45 mins on lumia 900 which I got from ATT today (data connection problem has already been fixed), the screen turned to be black and cannot get back to the normal state with any effort on pushing the buttons.
Thought the battery might be drained, so connected the charger, wired things happened again: the question marker showed on the battery and the screen was frozen. Waiting for 10 more mins, the question marker was still there and no more actions could be done on the screen.
Press on the start button for 10 seconds to restart it without sliding the screen to power off (since the screen was frozen), finally it got back to work. Checked the battery was 45%, so it was not drained.
Maybe another problem Nokia need to fix......

800 also suffered similar problems. So does my woman's Focus S. An update did indeed fix it.
Two weeks ago my galaxy just stopped working. it was at a decent battery; just stopped. I tried charging it but the phone would vibrate. phone would come on, then shut off. I tried it multiple times and same result; a few times the phone would make it to the samsung startup animation, sometimes it would just flash the samsung logo, once it compleley got to my screen start before shutting off.
I brought my phone to get fixed. It took a whole week and the guy said my phone was just not fixable. It would work for a few hours then shut off again, according to him. I suspect he didnt work much on it though as hed rather fix phones with easy problems as mine was a tough one.
I've had to replace my phone with an iphone now, but right now, out of curiosity, I completely took my phone apart, and started using tweezers to play the power on button. The camera part just broke off (not the actual camera) but now my phone is actually charging! The red light is on, and click the main button, it shows the battery being charged. This has not happened ever since the phone broke.
Am I bricked? Is there hope for this phone??? Please tell me there is lol.
EDIT: My phone seems to have restarted! Turned it on and it's asking for my simcard what is GOING ON LOL

idont know what you did there, but it worked plus you gotta be more specific to how the phone broke and could not boot-up to screen

It just randomly shut off. It was if someone would constantly be turning the phone off as soon as I turned it on. But then I couldn't even charge the phone. No red light, no screen, nothing, just vibration. I would try to turn it on sometimes it would get to the boot up, sometimes not, sometimes nothing, just a vibrate.
I literally took tweezers and lifted the green board out from around the power on button (it's an actual tiny white button on the inside). and then it randomly started working again

Could be a power button failure. Happens somewhat often.
Could be battery related too, a cheap replacement battery could strike that off.

agree with what he said, it could be a problem with the power button or battery is not working
off topic did you really get 176Mb/s download or is it fake
if its real then was it WIFI or DATA , i have never topped 50Mb/s both wifi and data) but DATA seems to be 10x faster than my wifi
Hello!
I hope somebody can help me, I tried to solve the problem by myself but I ran out of ideas what could be wrong. So to start with, i have replaced a cracked screen with a new one(lcd+digitizer). Everything was working fine after assembly, so I gave the phone back to the customer. Yesterday after 3 weeks of usage, he came back claiming that the screen isn't working anymore and that sometimes the screen was black and the other second was working. So I gave a look, but the screen was working(suddenly again), only the colours were a bit funky(probably the screen flat cable is the problem or?) So I opened the phone but nothing was wrong with the cables. I also cleaned the connectors with air if there was maybe some dust. Then when I assembled it back, plugged it in, to charge it, the battery was on screen, saying it is charging and I thought the problem is solved, but when I turn on the phone there is still nothing, blank screen. What could be wrong? The screen must be working because otherwise I couldn't see the green battery when charging the phone while off.
I don't use my watch every day. A few days ago I picked up my 1st gen from the charger and the screen stayed black. If I touch the screen the backlight comes on, but the screen stays black. If I hold a finger on the screen it buzzes like it should when you change faces but stays black.
I've tried holding the button for about 3 minutes and rebooting. I let the battery run down over a couple of days and recharged. Nothing has changed the behavior. Maybe it's just dead.
This is already a refurb as I got a replacement for burn-in spots right at the end of my warranty. I wonder if replacements get a new warranty.
Ideas?
Try doing a factory reset. might resolve your problem.
One of the things I noticed first on the cell phone was that the screen did not respond at a specific spot (just where you answer the call). Later the screen stopped responding at random spots. I noticed it on gboard and it appeared mainly at the spot where the answer button appears. However, it was not just that spot and the problem was not consistently present. It was often but not permanent. That is, if I repeated the swipe procedure 2nd or 3rd time at the same point the screen would work normally (except for the spot for answering the call which was permanently dead). I also noticed the non-response of the screen through an application that you drag your finger and it leaves an imprint. A little later the cell phone stopped charging. It could not connect to the computer either. It was completely dead!
1st service: I took it to the technician believing that it has two problems, one with the screen and another one related to charging. The technician changed the charging plug, repaired the motherboard with reflow and flashed it. The phone started charging again, and here the strange things begin. The service man kept it close to 10 days but could not notice any problems on the screen! I found this strange and in fact I was sceptical, but when I took it in my hands the screen worked perfectly!
After the 1st service: A month later the touch screen problems started again. This time however they appeared in random spots. Of course there were spots points where I could notice it more frequently, but in general the spots that touch screen would not respond were random. As before, the 2nd or 3rd time I would swipe the same spot the problem would disappear. Until it reappeared, of course. I continued to operate the phone normally, having accepted that it would have this buzz. Unfortunately though , the phone died again!
2nd "service": I took it to the technician againand a few days later he called me to tell me that my phone was working and that the only thing he did was was to unplug and plug the battery. This seemed strange to him, but he thought it was probably a system failure that was resolved by removing and putting back the battery.
After the 2nd "service": So I took the cell phone, which was working normally, both the charge and the screen, and I left. 2-3 days later, the screen started having the same problem, and no later than a month the device died again!
3rd "service": I took it to the technician again and the phone worked just by unplugging an plugging a cable that connects the battery to the phone! No charging problem, no screen problem!
Do you have any idea what could be wrong and all this happening?
