Of course, we'll say it's worth it. But our needs differ from yours. You'll need to check the numerous video and text reviews of the device and decide on your own.
Btw, please don't use text-speak. It's difficult to read and it doesn't cast you in a favorable light.
OK... Wat?
Lolol - text speak!
I think thats just bad english - not text speak!
@ fat_halla
If you have a touch pro 1 - the touch pro 2 has a bigger wider sceen with slightly higher resolution. Apart from that, as far as I am aware - this is the exact same phone.
So answer NO - not unless you are going to sell the touch pro 1
Way more RAM on the 2 as well (288 vs. 192).

No way; a person with limited English skills would not have such an extensive vocabulary. Also, his first couple of posts in these forums shows that he's not that bad. It's obvious that there's conscious effort to modify each word so that it's spelled wrong yet still pronounces somewhat correctly.
Moderators: perhaps there should be a rule to not allow abusive text-speak?

Uh...that's not true. Both have 288 MB. You must be thinking of the Diamond.
Go for it!
It´s a great device!
thnx every body for ur advice , it's not a bad english but it's a bad splling coz i have studied more than one lunguage so i have a proplem with splling , so about my main questation no am not going to sell the touch pro 1 but stell it was not as i thought it's a lettel bet slow and not the dvice i thought it was secound the screen is very bad either in it's size or it's resoulotion thered it's not that joyfull developing it not like the k-jam at least wich is saposed to be nothing comperd with it so i thought that htc have fixed those issues in the touch pro 1 and modified the divice ina lot of thing rather that the screen maybe am right maybe am wrong so i need some body that used to have both of them and knows more than the spacifecation differences in paper , one more quistion wath's the diffrernce between my needs and your's ohyeaher

[Q] Has anyone swapped a Sony display for a Sharp one?

Hi everybody,
I hope something similar hasn't been posted already, if so please forgive me. I've been doing a lot of reading and researching and haven't found an solution to my problem yet.
I accidentally broke the LCD screen in my Internacional HOX.. took it apart to see what Display I need and it came with a Sony Display. Has anybody had one of these in the international version??? All I've read is people having it with the ATT one... Mine is the Tegra3
Right now I'm in Nepal, and can only get the display from UK in a couple of days with a friend that flies in the country. Found some really nice Displays selling in the UK and Germany, contacted sellers but only one was able to respond and say his product was made by Sharp.
my question is... Can I change my Sony display for the Sharp one??? Or will I have syncing problems, color reproduction fault, etc?
I can't really afford to buy one of those expensive displays and send them back, airmail here takes over a month and seller would not replace my display. So I can't really test.
Anyone done this already?
Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated!!!

Survey aboout display clouding P8000

Hi guys
Despite I really like my phone, I've found that it has little bright spots on the right side of the screen in a line. I've seen somebody to mention it's called display clouding, and I am wondering, if you have this problem too. I am thinking if i should send it back to elephone, cause it may get worse, or just keep it, because it's probably because of bad quality of LCD panel. I've seen many chinese phones have it.
How to check if your phone has these clouds:
set brightness on maximum
open as white screen as possible (internet browser for example)
carefully check for brighter spots
Thanks for reply!
I have this also, heard many other people have aswell. I brought mine 2nd hand on ebay so do not have the option to send it back, for the 3 months ive had the phone it has not got worse though.
Little brights spots does not sound like clouding. Can you post a photo?

Same here, but I don't care that much.
When it will get worser I simply by a new replacement panel.
As long the other parts of the phone ar working ok, everythings fine.
Don't forget it is a china budget phone. I'd never expect any wonder. And cmpared to my previous smartphones, Xperias, Motorolas and HTCs this phone makes a good job and is a good deal.
Cheers

I have taken this photo from the elephone forum, thankfully mine is not as bad as this. But gives a good indication of the problem many of us are facing.
This streak of light looks horrible indeed. No such thing on my phone. Just minor ununiformities aka clouding (not worth talking about).
Well, maybe I am just lucky, but so far I had my phone since October and no clouding in my display. How exactly does this happen? Can it get worse over time?
Mine also has this problem, unfortunately cloudings in background light placed in a line and quite visible all time, and it is getting worse. So I've bought a new display from Ali, hope it will fare better.
The only thing I have to mention is on the bottom of the screen there is some darker clouding.
Like there are some "small black clouds" coming up from the bottom of the screen :/
And since I am new here I can't post outside links to show you that.

Same thing for my phone, buyed on november. First one clouding coming up now now problem is growing
Well, turns out you guys were right
Now my P8000 has a white line as well..pretty much like the one on the picture.
I have also this problem. I have bought my phone on aliexpress from elephonestore. this is what they say.
me: Hallo, i have a problem with my screen. I have a clouding effect. I have upload a video. On the videos it does not looks bad, but in real, the clouding effect is always visible and really disturbing.
here is the video

elephone: hi,friend,we have checked your video, it is the problem of the screen, has long white line light , but normally if you want to repair, it need to change a new screen for it, if you change it, then you need to pay for it.
me: ok, i unterstand. but i thought this can be fixed for free because of the one year warranty from elephone, since the Problem was not caused by me.
elephone: hi,friend, for this questions, we checked it exactly from elephone service center, and if change new screen, it need to pay for it, like battery or screen, they are not under the warranty, just can fix free, cannot change free.sorry friend, we had tried best to help you.
Ok, the next Phone is no Elephone....!
This is in Germany clearly a reason for a complaint.
Have you ever written to the "Repair Service" in Bruchsal?
Das ist in Deutschland ganz klar ein Grund für eine Reklamation.
Hast du mal den "Repair-Service" in Bruchsal angeschrieben?

i don't have contact the repair service, but i think that they wouldn't repair for free. this is just a repair service with official parts from elephone, not a official elephone support.
ja in deutschland ist das keine frage, aber in china denken sie sich wohl was anderes....

i've read on the official elephone forum, that someone has also replaced the panel. but the clouding came again after some weeks. this is not a fault of the lcd panel, its an engineering fail.

I've met with a mobile technician and he told me it's actually vapour. In a branded phone, they use a good gel beneath the amoled screen - something which is not to be found in these chinese mobile phones.

LCD touch sensitive problem :(

I just bought redmi note 8 (ginkgo) with 4/64gb variant but i got problems when playing some games, it lags on bottom screen and the touch sensitive is so bad, like you need to touch for a while then it touched. I can't playing any games if the bottom and the upper screen sensitive like that so i just regret it when buy this phone ((
Comments if u found same issue like me and if u know how to fix touch sensitive tell us.. (
I don't have such issues, just return it.
Sent from my Redmi Note 8 using Tapatalk
Same here note8 64 global
Can confirm I have no such issues here. Most likely a manufacturing defect, return your device to get it changed out while it is still under warranty.
And as a rule of thumb: only buy Xiaomis from official retailer / official online store.
Yeah i have same issues, and i can confirm lot of people in Indonesian group have same problem, i think this is not defect

Hi,
Settings > About phone > All specs > Tap on Kernel version until CIT launches.
Under 1.Software version - TP Version.
Also, not all phones with tianma panel will have the screen retention issue (aka burn in). Either the panel will be tianma or huaxing.
My device is RN8 (non-T)
I have shenchao , my wife has tianma.

Not sure about shenchao. I have a tianma and have no retention issue. Your mileage may vary, if it ever gives you problems you can send it in to service center or get a replacement.
So basically nothing to worry about for now.
