I just bought redmi note 8 (ginkgo) with 4/64gb variant but i got problems when playing some games, it lags on bottom screen and the touch sensitive is so bad, like you need to touch for a while then it touched. I can't playing any games if the bottom and the upper screen sensitive like that so i just regret it when buy this phone ((
Comments if u found same issue like me and if u know how to fix touch sensitive tell us.. (

I don't have such issues, just return it.
Sent from my Redmi Note 8 using Tapatalk

Same here note8 64 global

Can confirm I have no such issues here. Most likely a manufacturing defect, return your device to get it changed out while it is still under warranty.
And as a rule of thumb: only buy Xiaomis from official retailer / official online store.

Yeah i have same issues, and i can confirm lot of people in Indonesian group have same problem, i think this is not defect

Hopefully, Mi have learned something from Poco F1. But it seems to me that, the same situation gonna repeat in RN8 case.
Could you send link to this group?

Of course, we'll say it's worth it. But our needs differ from yours. You'll need to check the numerous video and text reviews of the device and decide on your own.
Btw, please don't use text-speak. It's difficult to read and it doesn't cast you in a favorable light.
OK... Wat?
Lolol - text speak!
I think thats just bad english - not text speak!
@ fat_halla
If you have a touch pro 1 - the touch pro 2 has a bigger wider sceen with slightly higher resolution. Apart from that, as far as I am aware - this is the exact same phone.
So answer NO - not unless you are going to sell the touch pro 1
Way more RAM on the 2 as well (288 vs. 192).

No way; a person with limited English skills would not have such an extensive vocabulary. Also, his first couple of posts in these forums shows that he's not that bad. It's obvious that there's conscious effort to modify each word so that it's spelled wrong yet still pronounces somewhat correctly.
Moderators: perhaps there should be a rule to not allow abusive text-speak?

Is G4 still bootlooping on manufactured versions of 2016?

Im planning to buy this smartphone by the end of January 2017, its the European version I think (Spain)... But Im afraid it would still bootloop as older G4 devices manufactured in previous months, so...
This problem has been fixed in newer devices?
I was thinking in buying the G5 but the price I have found for this smartphone is quite interesting.
Greetings, and happy new year
Hi ! I don't know at all.....but mine is a h815 sn 506 bought on the begining of November 2015 ....and never have had problem ! Work like a charm ....

How many times is this gonna be asked? No one can tell you if it is fixed with "newer" G4 devices. Anyone who owns this device should have a backup device because you can't trust any G4... and even if its fixed, I still do not recommend this phone. It has many other problems which is in my opinion not worth to deal with. I regret buying this phone.

If you really want to go with LG, buy the G5, that phone isn't flawless but much more reliable than a ''newer" LG G4.

Oh it didn't really bother me, I was more like: Another one wondering if newer versions of the LG G4 are bootloop free...
Well simply no one can tell you for sure, there are some reports of newer versions boot-looping, but that are only a few but still some..
If I was you I wouldn't go for a LG G4. Take the G5 instead if you really wan't a LG phone. That phone has less problems and has better hardware and will be more worth your money in my opinion.

Yes I know, I never said that there aren't G5's with bootloop problems but with that device it is way less common.
And that why I think he should better go for the G5 if he really wants a LG phone.
It's a worry though - if they can bring out a new gen device that still has the flaws it took them a 35000 strong petition to even acknowledge... not a trustworthy company.
I'm sorry to hear ppls had problems with their G4 phones .
What I can say , speaking from a developer perspective , LG g4 is great , at least the one I have , I have a h815 European Unlocked , serial number starts with 6xx.
I just can tell you that i stressed this phone like no other phone before .
I always think how this little piece can take so much stress.
I'm a rom developer and I can say I i flashed and reflashed over 10 -15 times per day different roms.
I build Maru OS for this phone and I runned Debian inside it ,with a lot of app oopened and a lot of multimedia tasks , and tested a lot how apps works on it , even games.
I used it like a pc , using debian and I can tell you I stressed it a loooot .
What I can say is that is a good harware , I do not try to convice anyone to buy one and I do not want ppls to spend money on something that can easly brick . But told you , I was impressed how mine resists to stress. No problems in 4 months.
Have a great day all !

7T vs Realme x2 Pro

Just noticed that this device will be available in Europe and the UK in November and am struggling to think of any reason to go for the 7T over this, other than OxygenOS,
This thing seems to have everything, including 64mp camera,20x zoom,50 watt charging,90hz display, dual speakers, the list goes on ,and it's much cheaper than the 7T,
Also Realme is under Oppo just like OnePlus
https://www.realme.com/eu/realme-x2-pro
Bumping, in case anyone has an opinion on this or has handled both these phones.
No one knows, until it's available. There's a dude on the X2Pro forum who's got it and sharing feedback on the phone. I too was debating whether to wait, but because of the recent 11.11 sales snagged a 7T for cheap. Loving it so far.
If you can wait, why not?

The different reviews I saw seem to say that the OP7T camera is a bit better.... But man, this 50W charging... And apparently lots of Realme phones get OOS custom ROMs... Imagine an X2 pro with OOS... I'm still waiting to receive my OP7T from China so the price is similar with an X2 Pro but if I had bought an OP7T at the official European price, I would send it back right away to get an X2 pro.
Just my 2 cents

I would agree, €600 in Europe and you only get the 8/128 model.Get it in China you can get it much cheaper or even the 8/256 model for around €500.
For me personally I just don't like the idea of them opening the device and flashing OOS on the China version. I like my phone to be new, untouched, factory sealed,(though with Oneplus pricing I am thinking I might have to get over that)
The Realme though is excellent value for €500 for 12/256 though your taking a hit in the camera processing and the software experience overall

Them? Who? You can buy X2Pro with Oxygen OS?
As far as I've read, like others have said, Color OS and the camera are the downsides of X2Pro. But once the Dev community gets going, we can always flash a custom rom so one issue is sorted. I'm not so sure about the camera.
And 7T may get a price cut once X2 Pro is available everywhere, who knows.

True ,but this is where my OCD and paranoia kicks in,who's to know how long that phone was used, did it drop, was it scratched, what kind of defects did it pick up.
But besides that, the prices are great so small price perhaps if the phone arrives safe

yeah it's a bit different for me since I bought it from a local seller who imported the phone sealed from China, then before he unbox and install ROM I received real time image of it still sealed with imei. So pretty much the phone was new out of box and it was like a friend helped me install the ROM, no worries.
So maybe try to do that to help with the OCD
I believe some Chinese online resellers accept not to open the sealed box if you ask for it.
Someone convince me to go for the 7T.
Where I stay, the X2 Pro is about $75 cheaper. But it was weird niggles like fingerprint not working after you unlock the bootloader and obviously the dev community is lacking.
My main concern about 7T is the battery life, especially with 90Hz. Someone tell me this isn't an issue. I certainly value dev/AOSP roms, though currently there's not much going on here except a couple of kernels (good ones though). I suppose this device needs more time for the ROMs scene to gather pace, hopefully..

The main reason there is not that much custom ROMs for now is that there is not working TWRP yet. There is still one on XDA, Omnirom, which seems to be pretty functional. Honestly battery life is perfect on this phone, and warp charge 30T makes you stop thinking about it IMHO.
I read somewhere that unlocking the bootloader on X2 Pro disables the under display FP scanner. I think that's a big deal if you're into flashing and stuff.
Such a turnoff for an otherwise amazing phone.
I suspect once more phones start shipping with Android 10 (maybe from Jan), TWRP will be fixed.
Pretty sure I'm going to pull the trigger in a few hours.
Someone tell me green/etc tint on the display isn't an issue [emoji14][emoji849]
Edit: And buy, i did.

Hi,
Settings > About phone > All specs > Tap on Kernel version until CIT launches.
Under 1.Software version - TP Version.
Also, not all phones with tianma panel will have the screen retention issue (aka burn in). Either the panel will be tianma or huaxing.
My device is RN8 (non-T)
I have shenchao , my wife has tianma.

Not sure about shenchao. I have a tianma and have no retention issue. Your mileage may vary, if it ever gives you problems you can send it in to service center or get a replacement.
So basically nothing to worry about for now.

Question POCO F5 or Nothing (1) for custom rom

Hey everyone!
so i was looking to buy the newly launched POCO F5 but my concern was if it will have custom rom support or not or should i buy the Nothing Phone (1) which already plenty of custom roms. As i am a person who do not upgrade phones every year custom rom comes in handy in longer run.
so, will it have custom rom support in future?
F5 sure will be popular soon, but QC ... 🫢

Just buy it. It will still have official support from Xiaomi at least for next 3 years. Next year you can still use it. Even next 5 years if you are careful enough.

Apparently over time the solder or something wears away due to heat and you end up with a bricked device, it's very common and a ticking time bomb. Avoid that phone.

I've had 2 of those. Never had any problem whatsover. The SD860 gets a little hot at times when solicited hard (especially if you run a custom kernel tweaked for gaming performance), but let's bear in mind that it basically is just an overclocked version of the SD855+, so that "comes with the territory".
The "Global" version doesn't seem to have these quality issues (motherboard and charging controller), they seemed to affect only the devices sold on the Indian market..
