P3300 & Tmc

Actualy there's no TMC (Traffic Message Channel) support on P3300, but the information is there
TMC is a RDS data
How can we access that data, and send to programs thow a serial port??

Nice idea, as I understood it, there's not even an easy possibility to get the RDS data. At least you need your earphones plugged.

Ok, now we have hardware support for TMC, but we don't have software to take RDS data (TMC) from radio chip to a serial port.
TMC is read from a serial port on navigation software.
We need HTC with a new software release supporting TMC

Unfortunately, there are no current updates for P3300 and we havent got a timescale on when it will be available as this is quite a new device. Even with the new ROM update we cannot guarantee that TMC RDS will be enabled on P3300 device

Forget it - this is a total waste of time, the hardware doesn't support this, the software won't work with it, the FM reception of the in built radio is crap and signal strength in the UK is pathetic - this will never work, find something else to waste time on as that might prove more productive (BTW TT software does support RDS-TMC but only on the Go-x10 or XL products) - Mike

It is not the same having a radio or decoding TMC-data to traffic-messages that can then be used for a navigation program.
ETEN is doing the same, putting a rds chip in its devices and declaring it has TMC, but it is of really no use. No navigation software provider has the resources to adapt its software to all these different TMC hardware providers.
There are two companies in Germany GNS and AVANTEQ which have managed to build TMC receivers compatible to most navigation software, but no others I am aware of. Even Royaltek the third company offering TMC receiver accessories has been able to build compatibility to only one navigation software.
Sorry not being able to give you a more encouraging notice.

1. We need a external antenna. There is a team working on that already. (see circutry above). I suggest using the headphones inbetween.

Well... that's it. Sorry, I have some IT and programming backgroung but I cannot pay a lot of time to this myself. I just bought myself the Artemis some days ago and after some studying, collected this information and thought that in the adequate hands (read xda team) will yield some results.

I add the manual of DecoRDS. This has been programmed by a tech expert on radio broascasting.

Unfortunately, even he - who has spent now years on these issues - has not managed to integrate his tool seemlessly into TT, so that messages are automatically taken into account. I assume this is the really difficult part if you aren't accidentally the navigation software provider.

Hello,
why going the hard way first? First getting TMC data into DecoRDS should be done, then using it in Navigon should be easy. TT is useless (ok it starts very fast...), no TMC support, cause they want to sell traffic (GPRS) and TMC pro abos...
And for test purposes loading the PDA is not necessary, so that the port is free for the delivered headset...

I've found it and installed successfully on the device: with Nova Launcher it seems to run good...sometimes it can show some lag, but it can be quite good.
The only thing that is VERY UGLY is the ram occupied: 33Mb...
Anyway, if I can post it I will do it, no problem about that...

Well ok, this is the Live Wallpaper...as you can see it's pretty "big" in terms of memory...let me know if this runs good on your devices and what rom you have...I'm on AOKP v22 with Nova Launcher...

I'm running Android Revolution HD (4.0.2) and the stock launcher. It runs flawlessly without lag, still looking if it's a battery drain. So far so good, I've been on Phase Beam prior to this.

Hi everybody, please excuse my english in advance because, like the title says, I'm Colombian
I'm so ashamed of asking for help but I really need it, first of all I'm a new user of Samsung and my first one is this SII T989, I was so glas because It seem like a very powerful device and in hopes to make it better I arrived here, I installed a ROM called Darkside and it's kernel and everything is fine, i like my new buddy. But now I have adquired a data plan but it doesnt seems to work, I wonder if it could because I'm not from USA and there's a problem about the ROM.
Another thing, what is the ROM that actually you most recomend, I'm with my ROM for a while and I wanna know if there's new versions. And if I wanna change the ROM, will I lose all my apps and progress in them (in example, losing all the levels in angry birds)

What mobile carrier do you use? Your APN information will have to be provided to you by your carrier and you will have to chage it in the network settings. There are several really good roms, depends on what you like. You will probably have to do a full wipe if you move to any other rom which means you will lose all your apps and data. You will have to download all your apps again.

You can use an app called titanium backup to save all of your apps and data.
However, I recommend you only restore apps and not their data when switching roms. Games are ok though. Never encountered any problems with restoring game data.

My mobile carrier is called Claro, they said me that I have the data plan activated but I don't get the 3G sign in the main screen nor can navigate without wifi, I searched about the problem and I read about an app called Tweakker who could help me, but It doesn't work on ICS 4. SO it's a shame.
And for the others, you would recommend me to change my rom? Do the roms maybe affects the data plan?

No roms no tiene nada que ver con tu data plan. Tienes que ponerle los codigos de la compania de celular que estas usando para poder tener aseso al internet.. roms y kernels no tiene nada que ver con eso p.s los codigos se llaman APN
No roms have nothing to do with your data plan. You would have to change the APN codes on the phone of your carrier to make data work.

Settings>>mobile networks>>apn
Darkside Rom looks different but maybe a picture can still help. Where mine says t-mobile yours has to say claros apn.

@Apollo-74 I think Samsung deliberately disabled this feature in their mid-range Smartphones. Pretty sad since the A50 has Bluetooth 5.0 D:

Correct me if I'm wrong, these apps have nothing to do with dual audio which is the issue at hand here...

there is another method, which is using the sound assistant. but, you have to use a wired output from your phone, and a wireless (which is bluetooth) from your phone. it is not yet possible fo mid-range apps to perform "wireless" dual audio transmission at the same time, what im saying is, you could still do that but the other output would be wired. install nicelock and install its module Sound assistant. scroll down to separate app sound.

j'arrive aussi à connecter 2 périphériques Bluetooth en même temps mais on ne peut que switcher entre eux et non activer les deux comme j'ai pu voir sur certaines captures du dual audio directement dans les paramètres peut-on installer un module ou une application qui force le dual audio?

Ce module ne permet pas la lecture d'audio sur deux périphériques en même temps, il permet de définir une application pour diffuser son contenu audio séparément donc rien à voir avec le dual audio à mon avis
