the work of our cooks is huge, amazing, and what makes xda-developes what it is for many.
There are several Manilla 2D ROMs for Trinity. Some better than others, as has always been the case. (When I say better I mean some have less bugs than others). Some fit certain users' needs better than others.
I am currently running a Manilla 2D ROM on my Trinity and am globally happy with the ROM but there are outstanding issues for me in every Manilla 2D ROM that I have tries and so I would love to try others. (Yes, I should probably go and cook my own ROM - and will get round to it - but...without going into detail of my life...cannot at the moment).
For users to express a wish to have a version from a particular ROM cooker / cookers is surely just a way of complimenting your good work. If you have decided that you have stopped production of WWE roms for whatever reason, everyone must respect that.
However, it is not reasonable to expect people to stop asking great ROM cookers to cook ROMs that they have previously released in WWE even if the answer is then no!

Afortunadamente, I speak Spanish too.
I've always wanted to try one of Nikitto's Roms. If there's no more WWE's coming out, I may as well give this one a go. The best Manila ROM has yet to appear... quizas sea este!?

I've never tried a non-WWE ROM before. Does this ROM have the option of English as a regional language selection, and if so what differences does that make to the everyday use of the device?

Change clock from analog to digital

first of all: thanks for this great ROM. It works perfectly for me.
But i would like to change the clock from analog to digital, is that possible? How?
Also: AdvancedConfig does not read TouchFLO configuration. Is that because TouchFLO is Manila3D and here we have Manila2D? What exactly is the difference between them?

Hi,
I've found this ROM amazing, but I have a problem: memory consumption. I've flashed my Trinity yesterday, and only installed PocketCM, and Activesync connection. Free memory after that is about 13 MB. With previous version 6.1.60 was about 25MB.
Is this because of TouchFlo 2D? Is there any way to make it a little more light?

With TouchFlo 2D: 88% ram used. Too much to run TT6.5
I deactivated the HTC-Skin and am using now Windows-Standard-ugliy but light skin. 55% ram used, TT6.5 working fine.
Great rom, but I'd apreciate it with the first diamond skin which is lighter then TF2D but much better than WM standard skin.
Is there a cab to install that aditionally?
One of the best roms, Nikkito and Axel made a very good work. And especially I want to give them many thanx for being the only team supprting spanish version with these new rom builds.

I think Touchflo 2D is intended to 128MB RAM machines. Anyway, I have 75% used, not 88%, that is enough to work with tt7, and I guess with 6.5 too.

hi, has anyone tried to port Amigo to the HD yet?
i know all the blablabla about this is not for this sort of device and a licence should be bought... but as I mentioned before I have an unlocked Navman S55 satnav which I've been using as my main sat nav when I'm driving and i found heaven when i installed iGO Amigo - which i bought the licence - yes Amigo has fewer options but the interface is so, wow, so, so so so WOOOOOWWW!!!
three things:
1) someone started a thread about it and it was shut but....
2) apparently they're using it on kaiser and there's another thread about it, not sure it's still going on (didn't bother to read the whole thing)
3) Amigo doesn't use .zip files but .gro and I managed to find a GRO/ZIP converter which could be useful to create skins...
thing is: i have created over 60 logotype icons (attached) for most important shops in the UK to use with iGO 8, real nice work... want to see if i can use it on Amigo...
the call is: whoever's got the amigo running on a different device, has had any success porting it to the HD? i have tried but the incompatible resolution dialog box will pop up.

but the thing is that i read somewhere that for this version settings in the sys.txt file won't work - which i noticed - and if you have to add anything this should be put in the system.ini
the only thing i miss in Amigo is the ability to show your current speed on the map screen when you're enroute.

that goes to sys.txt in root of amigo , you need the few things :
amigo from april 8(8.4.2.85182)
latest data.gro (42,6mb)
sys.txt you alredy have
maps R3 from igo 8.3 work and sound`s ,, tts also work
and in save dir edit system.ini and put this:

port="4"
baud="57600"
you can also find dj.amigo 2.1 skin look nice on hd
or pm me and i will help you bye

Amigo is a rather more friendly version of iGO 8. it has a much more cute interface with a real cool animation thing.
it also has fewer options than the igo 8 which some power users might take it as put off but when you start using it, you see that the whole experience is better and the "lacking options" don't really make thaaaaat difference.

try using another app to manage your backlight settings. I would suggest Lumos.

my igo amigo is not connetting to the gps i left it for about 2 hours any one help me plz

But when I tried to detect GPS, its just sitting there for several minutes and nothing happening.
I tried iGO and GPS was detected pretty quick...
Please help.

Help with yellow rectangle
Hi,
Tried amigo last night and its working well except for the yellow rectangle which keeps popping on top of the screen whenever the car is stop. When I clicked on it, it gave a meesage that the offer is no longer valid.
Anyone know how to stop it from coming?

Has anyone managed to get TTS working?
I tried to use files from IGO, converted language files from ZIP to GRO, get the TTS option to come up in the menu, but once selected, the device will invariably freeze shortly thereafter. I know it is not designed to work with TTS, but still....
Any ideas????

it will keep "autodetecting" gps receiver
this TTS thing is kinda tricky. havent managed to get it working on iGO 8 either.
as strange as it sounds, amigo won't work properly on my HD... it will keep "autodetecting" gps receiver for ever. i tried putting instructions with right port and baudrate both in sys.txt and system.ini and still will hook on that.
any ideas?

So i thought it was time to give a little bit back, and I started to develope an application to look up Train connections. I am starting with the "Deutsche Bahn" and connected companies, but I am willed to expand the tool to other Companies / Countries if someone might give me a hint what service the other Companies use.
I tought there is an real need for an application like this, because the "Bahn" themselves only support the Iphone, and I allways felt so left out with my brilliant phone. So that's going to change soon!

i would love to beta test your app as well...and maybe would be good to expand on germanys closest neighbours like france, poland, belgium, holland , as i travel from time to time in europe by train, i know how good to have an up to date info especialy if you do not speak much of an local language
in uk we have few nice apps which pulls data from rail network but they are not great in being finger friendly...

there is a java application called DB Railnavigator (mobile.bahn.de).
I tried to use it on my HD2. It was working,
but it was almost unusable due to its crappy interface .
I would be very happy if you could develop something better than
that, maybe with a cache to be able to use it offline for connections
which have been already retrieved.
(I travel a lot by bus and train and would like to do beta testing )

Hi, that is the Same Engine as the German Bahn uses.
I still search Beta Testers, and I will send first beta sources soon!
I have been able to extract the Ajax API of the Bahn now, and their, a little weird system
It is still a long way to go before this gets really good, and a lot of errors are not handled so far.
Yes, I have used that Java Application too, and hated it so much! That was the main reason for starting this!

Yes, i had a bad encoding problem! I uploaded a hotfix for this 10 seks ago. Now it can find Düsseldorf and Köln etc...

Yes, that is a problem with the ManilaSDK... I am working on that, but it could take a while. sorry for that!

Hi everybody, please excuse my english in advance because, like the title says, I'm Colombian
I'm so ashamed of asking for help but I really need it, first of all I'm a new user of Samsung and my first one is this SII T989, I was so glas because It seem like a very powerful device and in hopes to make it better I arrived here, I installed a ROM called Darkside and it's kernel and everything is fine, i like my new buddy. But now I have adquired a data plan but it doesnt seems to work, I wonder if it could because I'm not from USA and there's a problem about the ROM.
Another thing, what is the ROM that actually you most recomend, I'm with my ROM for a while and I wanna know if there's new versions. And if I wanna change the ROM, will I lose all my apps and progress in them (in example, losing all the levels in angry birds)

What mobile carrier do you use? Your APN information will have to be provided to you by your carrier and you will have to chage it in the network settings. There are several really good roms, depends on what you like. You will probably have to do a full wipe if you move to any other rom which means you will lose all your apps and data. You will have to download all your apps again.

You can use an app called titanium backup to save all of your apps and data.
However, I recommend you only restore apps and not their data when switching roms. Games are ok though. Never encountered any problems with restoring game data.

My mobile carrier is called Claro, they said me that I have the data plan activated but I don't get the 3G sign in the main screen nor can navigate without wifi, I searched about the problem and I read about an app called Tweakker who could help me, but It doesn't work on ICS 4. SO it's a shame.
And for the others, you would recommend me to change my rom? Do the roms maybe affects the data plan?

No roms no tiene nada que ver con tu data plan. Tienes que ponerle los codigos de la compania de celular que estas usando para poder tener aseso al internet.. roms y kernels no tiene nada que ver con eso p.s los codigos se llaman APN
No roms have nothing to do with your data plan. You would have to change the APN codes on the phone of your carrier to make data work.

Settings>>mobile networks>>apn
Darkside Rom looks different but maybe a picture can still help. Where mine says t-mobile yours has to say claros apn.

I would like to present you a new web and mobile (android) application POI pocket, which is designed for planning, synchronizing and sharing of map points (POI). The Web version allows convenient planning and working with POI on the "big computer". With the synchronized mobile app you will have your POI always with you. Points on your phone or tablet you can easily browse and mainly forward them to your car navigation (Tomtom, Sygic, BeOnRoad, ...) or mapping applications (Google Maps, Locus maps, Orux ...).

Of course you can buy POI limit increase to 500.1500 or 5000 POI. You can do this in a mobile application menu - settings - POI limit. Or write me a PM, for testing are also other possible ways of increasing.

I have bought 1500 limit increase a I successfully imported some POIs from .kml file. I have some other POIs from Garmin in .csv but this file fail to import. Any idea what should be wrong?

Thanks for testing. We support the import of Garmin CSV, but it is possible that you have some different version. Please send us this CSV file to email, we look at it and modify IMPORT algorithm.

Navigations
I have successfully exported POI to Be-On-Road navigation. But why you dont support Garmin Viago?

Because Viago is a new application and does not support import items from other applications ("geo intent" - for android developers). We can do nothing with it. We wrote to Garmin, whether they can add support for this to the next version.
Fortunately, most common navigation and map applications, supports this. In the POI pocket Help you will find a list of supported (and unsupported) applications. But there are hundreds of map applications, so please email us, if some applications will not work with POI pocket. We will try to find a solution.

Yesterday, I tested the application for some time and I find it super, especially in simplicity, how to plan a trip and get points quickly in navigation. I didn`t found any major problems. Only when I had importing a large number of points, the synchronization with phone ran quite long, but I had a bad phone connection, so it may be that.

Thanks for your testing. Yesterday we deployed the new version (1.05), adds some new features, I hope you will like it.

Brilliant idea. Perfect for route planning as well as for traveler's diary.
Ideas for improvement:
Will be possible to add photos to points?
Will be possible periodically updated one selected point according to the current GPS position? This point I would then share to my friends to let them know where I am.

Photos - will hopefully be soon, we're working on it
Tracking actual position - an interesting idea, we will think about it. But there are plenty of applications that already support it.

Yes, it is possible. You can connect to one POI pocket account from all you devices (phones, tablets etc.). And "Limit increase" is bind to your Google play account, so you must purchase it once for each Google account.
