What happens when you try download mode? Also you could see if smart switch can fix it .

[Q] My GT-N5110 is not detected by ODIN

Hi, my tablet is not detected by odin while in recovery mode
I have a gt-n5110 running 4.1.2 and I'm trying to flash the recovery to remove the retail demo. . .
drivers are installed on my pc and its detected while booted up however my recovery <3e> options after holding down power/volume up are:
reboot system now
apply update from ADB
apply update from external storage
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
apply update from cache
I have even tried installing from my sd card and nothing why is odin not detecting it? please help
thx :/
Grrrrrr!!!
Just figured it out. . . all instructions refer to holding power and volume up to get into download mode however that gets you into recovery but I just found that power and volume down goes to download mode
Thx anyways

If you have twrp have you tried booting into download mode from there? Also if you have deleted your system why can't you flash another rom with twrp until download mode is working again?...

s3 will not boot up to the user interface mode

I am trying to dowload photos to my computer, but it will not boot up to the appropriate stage in order to dowload photos. Phone seems to be stuck in a boot loop. it will start to boot up and then randomly shut off at different stages. Sometimes it gets to the at&t logo, while other times it may get to the samsung galaxy sIII image, etc. i tried going to the recovery mode, and not sure which option to choose, then an error at the bottom appears and saying invalid data error. Is there any way to fix this?
I am trying to recover old info/pics that are on the phone
thanks
Do you invalid data partition when you try to get into recovery mode?
Was the phone ever dropped?

yes the phone has been dropped. sometimes the phone will start to boot up just by plugging in the battery. In recovery mode, i can see all the options like, wipe partions, update, etc . then the andorid guy is like on the floor sideways . under the andorid guy, it says E: failed to mount/data (invalid argument). can't mount/data (invalid argument) , can't mount /data/log./log_recovery.txxt
Sounds like the memory chip may be damaged. Once thing to try and get it going would be to try and flash TWRP, boot into TWRP, mount data, and try to recover your data. Can't think of any other way to try and recovery data.
Doing wipe data option doesnt delete files in /sdcard, only your apps. You can use odin to get your phone working, but using odin will usually delete everything.

HTC One M9 Hard Bricked + corrput download mode

Hey there!
I had problems with my HTC before but I managed to fix it by unlocking bootloader and reflashing the stock recovery.
Then after a few weeks my HTC suddenly rebooted itself and got stuck in a bootloop. It then said Phone Storage is encrypted and decryption failed. So i went to recovery mode and did a factory reset which did not work.
Right now bootloader says this: "STATUS:MODIFIED / RELOCKED / S-ON / SECURITY WARNING"
When I try booting to download mode it says: "FAILED TO BOOT TO DOWNLOAD MODE" with the security warning
When I boot to recovery mode it says: "MOUNT /CACHE FAIL" , "CAN'T FIND DEVICE NODE FOR MOUNT POINT /CACHE", but I can navigate normal through its options.
When I try applying an update from SD card oder sideload it always fails and puts out more "FAILED TO MOUNT /CACHE /DEVLOG..." warnings.
When I try to apply the RUU.exe it says my phone isn't charged more than 30%.
fastboot getvar all in bootloader mode wont say anything except my SN.
Wipe data/factory reset or wiping cache will fail and output more "CAN'T MOUNT ..." errors
I can't install a new recovery like TWRP since my bootloader is relocked and download mode is inaccessable.
Also, if my phone is connected to any power source and I power it down it will show the charge animation for a second and hop right back into bootloader.
Anything else I could try?
Thanks (can't put in any images because i just registered..)

I hate to say it, but you might be having some hardware issues with the motherboard. I'm not sure what solution (if any) is available: without download mode or recovery (and a locked bootloader), you may well be out of luck. I'm sorry.
