this morning, when i connected to the wifi, my desire got a OTA update notification. i accept it and the patch download really fast. after the poweoff, install and reboot, the system upgrade from 2.13.707.1 to 2.13.707.2.
The wifi connected perfectly as soon as the phone booted. but when i open the browser, it tell me something like 'error...check network setting'. then i go to the market, also get a network problem
what the hell... everything works fine but the wifi, and i have no idea about what the problem is, since i just upgrade the phone with wifi a few minutes ago! anybody knows why? my rom is htc stock rom.
thx
No problems for me after the upgrade. Upgraded using wifi and still using wifi.
do i have to back up my files before doing this update?

Hey,
I've been searching all day long but I don't see any solution!
I used stock firmware from samsung on my S3 and everything worked.
Then I changed to slimdevices which I also have on my S1. But I can't connect to my wifi.
I searches and finds all wifi routers here but it won't connect to it.
I wiped everything before the upgrade and installed slimrom now 3 times. I even opened my wifi so that no password is needed but it still won't connect!
Can anybody help me?
Frank
Hello,
I recently got a galaxy nexus and noticed that the wifi and data radios were not working correctly. The device was already rooted so I decided to unroot the phone and reflash the radios following this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-nexus/general/how-to-return-to-stock-galaxy-nexus-t1626895. After doing this I noticed the same problem and I'm not sure what to do. It seemed everything went fine and looked normal as I was doing it. I'm wondering if there was something I missed. Anyway thanks for the help!
Oh as for the wifi issue. Everytime I connect to a wifi network, I get an authentication error. No I can't access router settings because I'm in college. As for data, well I don't get anything when I put in my sim card.
Hello, bought a nexus 5x a few days ago and after a security update (april one i guess) wifi stoped working. It keeps scanning for networks but cant find any. Bluetooth, gsm, everything else works fine.
Tried to reset network settings, reset to factory settings, flashed all the updates from the google servers, flash a custom rom, delete "persist" folder, all with no succes, wifi just dont works. If anyone has any idea what to do, i'm ready.
Thanks in advance

I just bought a used phone on eBay for a friend of mine, and he's having the same issues. Every time he tries to connect, the phone detects WiFi but doesn't connect. I had him reset his modem and router, and still nothing. He did factory settings on his phone as well, and still nothing. I had him find free WiFi at a restaurant and try that route, and he's still having issues. Will flashing new updates fix this issue, or is there something else needed in order to fix this solution?
I guess I can always have him send me his phone since he's not tech savvy! Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Have you tried the N Beta? https://www.google.com/android/beta
Shouldn't make a difference, but nothing really to lose by trying it. Other than there's a data wipe if you go back to stock. When I turned it off because some apps didn't work, it installed an OTA version in one shot with the latest version up to that point. With the data wipe. No security updates needed on top. That shouldn't make a difference either, but maybe it will.
