Hello,
I recently got a galaxy nexus and noticed that the wifi and data radios were not working correctly. The device was already rooted so I decided to unroot the phone and reflash the radios following this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-nexus/general/how-to-return-to-stock-galaxy-nexus-t1626895. After doing this I noticed the same problem and I'm not sure what to do. It seemed everything went fine and looked normal as I was doing it. I'm wondering if there was something I missed. Anyway thanks for the help!
Oh as for the wifi issue. Everytime I connect to a wifi network, I get an authentication error. No I can't access router settings because I'm in college. As for data, well I don't get anything when I put in my sim card.

Hi, sorry if I sound stupid but I'm new here.. After finally rooting my phone with the Galaxy Nexus Toolkit and flashing Android 4.1.1 my phone is restored with all apps and works fine, however there is no cellular data whatsoever. I tried going to the Verizon ESN change website and reactivating it, I tried calling *228 (which comes up with "no cellular network") and I tried going into network settings, all with no avail. Can anyone help?
I rooted with This Toolkit
I flashed This ROM
hey guys, i apologize if this has been asked but i have been searching the forums for hours with no luck and i need my phone to work.
alright, so iv flashed my note 2 (telus version SGH-I317m) with jedi x14 and everything is working great except my data connection. i can send and receive phone calls and text messages but i cannot access the internet unless connected to wifi. from what i have read i believe this may be a radio problem but i didnt want to go messing around with that until i knew for sure for fear of making this worse than it is. any ideas?
Check your APN's
did that, it all seems to be in order
going to try flashing a new modem again.
alright, so iv tryed flashing a new modem, and when i do it removes my os for some reason and i have to do a restore. so i tried notorious prime and its still doing the same thing. my basebrand version is i317MVLBMA3
FIXED IT, it was the apn, i just rest to defaults and it fixed it right up, thanks for your help sorry for being a noob lol
Hi there,
I've got an HTC One M8, on the T-Mobile Network. I recently unlocked and rooted my phone. I downloaded the Paranoid Android beta ROM and installed it along with gapps. All went smoothly and booted up fine. However, I noticed my phone wasn't connecting to LTE. All I could do was make phone calls. I tried flashing the ROM again, same issue. I then tried the Cyanogenmod ROM and also had the same issue, so I finally restored my phone's nandroid backup so I'm all good again.
But I'm curious what the issue might be. I also tried taking out and putting back in my SIM card etc. Is there something I'm missing that I need to do?

OKay, I was able to resolve this issue on my own. I changed my APN setting to utilize IPv6 and it's been running just fine. Go figure.
Hello, so here is my problem. I have been using Cyanogenmod 13 on my LG G3/ls990 for months now. Recently I needed a static IP address through Sprint. When they applied the static IP to my account, I was stuck on 3G, even though I mostly have LTE. Basically what I did was use an old stock rom backup to update my PRL/Profile. This brought back my LTE service. Then I reloaded my CM13 backup. Unfortunately, at first it didn't recognize my sim card, and then it only recognized 3G. Okay, so no problem, I decided I would just go back to the stock rom and clean install a new custom rom. Unfortunately, when I went back to the stock rom, it was also stuck on 3G and this time when I tried to update the PRL/Profile it didn't work, I am guessing because it already saw these as updated. So after a few chats with Sprint's tech support, I was able to get LTE to work again. She said a particular network configuration file wasn't working right, and she did something which was suppose to fix it. As instructed, I typed in code ##72786# after she did it, and LTE worked perfectly. Stupidly, I thought it would be as simple as reloading my CM13 backup. Yet it did it again when I loaded the backup, and now I am stuck on 3G again. Before this I didn't really connect the two together. Does anyone know what exactly is happening here? Tomorrow I plan to call Sprint again, to get them to fix the file, but is there a way I can do it myself, in case I have this problem again when I install a new custom rom? For example, if I go into ##Data# will I fix things by changing a setting in there or something? I hate having to talk to Sprint every time this messes up, and yeah, I know it was stupid of me to do the same thing twice, but it was a day apart and I forgot what I had done the first time. Hopefully whomever I talk to tomorrow can figure out what the woman I spoke with did, because she definitely knew what she was doing. Thank you for all of your help!
Update: Called Sprint they reset my network and I have LTE again. I am somewhat wary of installing a new rom but would like one for resolving performance issues and wifi tether. I downloaded an unofficial Lineage 15 Rom yesterday while I was on 3g only, but it couldn't find my sim. Is there a way to backup my current network settings?
Update 2: So I just tried a fresh install of Lineage 15 and it didn't work. First it recognized cell but no data. Then I went into data settings chose carrier settings that crashed, "android.com. [something]has stopped working" , the sim was unrecognizable after that and the carrier settings weren't there any longer. I backed up my EFS partition in the stock rom before installing, but then I was stuck on 3g even despite that. I called Sprint again, and got them to reset my network settings. Don't want to keep calling them though.
Anybody here with Sprint and a static IP that can recommend a ROM that will work and not mess up my network settings? I don't care if it is Marshmallow or Nougant, I just want something that doesn't overheat my phone and which I can have native tethering.
EDIT: I was able to install Fullmics and retain my LTE.
So my friend just gave me his old Tmobile S4 SGH-M919 running Android 4.4.4 Baseband M919UVUFOK3. The problem is that Wifi and bluetooth will not turn on. I've tried all the basic stuff like taking the battery out and wiping the phone. I even tried flashing earlier 4.4.4 versions onto it and nada. I read something about flashing a modem.bin file onto it, but every thread i've found doesnt have the file link anymore. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Oh I do have a Mac Address but no sim card.
To those who might be reading, I popped my battery out with phone on while unrooted. The wifi came back after reboot. Then I rooted. Now the Wifi is doing the same problem.
