I own s8+, but I really like bigger screen of a70 plus better battery.
The thing I am most interested is how does camera compare with s8+ camera?
If the camera are similar quality, then I would definitely give a70 a chance ?
I would compare them myself, but stores around me don't have a70 on stock?
Thank you in advance for your help ?
Think S8+ would definitely have better cameras.
EDIT: Read these around the forums.

I confirm what I previously wrote about that camera. My wife is now using my "old" S8+, I bought for myself the A70 for the larger screen. About the camera, really forget the A70, the S8+ is infinitely better.
For the rest, the A70 is a good pocket computer (with a phone app)
An A70 loose in every aspect to an S8+ that Is an ex top and still kicking today,( even an S7 beat It in camera because it's only a 8mpx effective and mediocre sensor ) and even in updates, the only aspect where an A70 Is Better Is battery Life.

For the camera just install gcam with night side on your A70, it's definitely better than the A70 stock camera, I installed it on my A70 and it's incredible, probably even better than the S8+ stock camera

Nope.
A70 pros:
More ram
More storage
Bigger screen
MUCH better battery life
25w charging
S8 pros:
Slightly faster chipset
Wireless charging
HDR display
Better camera
Most of the a70 camera issues can be solved by using gcam but it's not a perfectly solution and there are drawbacks that people dont like to talk about. Ie, half the features not working in gcam, the time it takes to process HDR shots with some configs, the fact that you can't set gcam as the default camera app without rooting etc. Really, we need an optimised app from Samsung and not some bastardized old gcam app.

Bigger screen ( mid tier full hd and not top tier 3k with hdr support )

S8 pros:
Slightly faster chipset ( slighty in CPU ok, in GPU it destroy the Adreno 612
Wireless charging
HDR display
Better camera
More narrow and Lighter
Premium materials and not cheap plastic
Gorilla Glass 5 ( vs 3 )
cat16 modem
Premium Bundle with adapters and good quality buds ( A70 doesn't even have a standard type c cable bundled, it's double type c and you need an adapter to connect to pc if you doesn't have a type c port )
Faster reliable fingerprint scanner even if in an ankward position
IP68 rating
dual PDAFOIS
real type c 3.1
lower SAR

I will conceed the point on the fingerprint sensor and I should have included that in my list.
Having moved from an s8 to an a70 I can say with 100% sincerity that any difference in resolution can only be seen by pixel peeping both of them side by side and actually in use its easier to fit more on the a70 screen and keep it legible (for example a forum like this). So despite the lower res, it's more usable. Yes the s8 does support HDR as I mentioned myself. Wether people even notice or not? I mentioned it all the same.
In use the s8's storage and gpu specs don't translate in to much additional speed. Again, this is my experience comparing both side by side. Paper spec will suggest otherwise but I don't give a monkeys about that. I can ay all the same games just the same.
Glass back. On the s8, plastic on the a70. Don't care when they are in cases and if you don't use a case then good luck to you - my s8 got smashed to bits and the weight? Only 10g in it. Meh :/
Cat16 modem is stretching - show me something to take advantage of it its 1gbps download and I'll change my mind.
The bundled USB cable isn't much of a problem. You don't need an adaptor of your pc has USB C ports or just buy an adaptor / use a USB C to USB 3.x type A cable if it doesn't. Meh. It's a point, but a minor one and only a couple of pounds to fix at the most.
The rest.. I mena lower sar, really? If it makes no difference in use, I don't care about it. And the sar value most definitely makes no difference in use.

I am going to have to agree with this. I have both phones, and use both daily. The S8+ is a work phone and the A70 is my personal phone. With regards to display .. I can't tell a difference. The S8 screen I feel can be a bit brighter at times in direct sunlight..but with regards to resolution and HDR .. I don't see the difference. The A70 display is really nice.
With regards to performance, I have the exact same apps and games on both phones. I run the same launcher setup on both. When I watch netflix, prime or other vids that i've downloaded.. it feels exactly the same with the exception of the much larger A70 display. The games I play run the exact same on both.. neither is slower than the other. Apps load the same...and act the same.
Really, spec wise on paper, there is a diff... but perceived day to day usage ..I don't see it, aside from the insane screen on time I get from the A70. In the end, what matters the most is your day to day usage. I've used higher end phones that stutter, lag and occasionally freeze up.
One thing to consider is that the A70 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU, whilemost S8s have a Samsung Exynos. This means you can install and run Gcam ports on an A70 mostly flawlessly, instead of like on the S8 where you need to wait for a specific version from iDan or Zoran, and those don't always work very well.
The Camera on the A70 after the latest update is about as good as the S8's, but has a time of flight sensor so does better bokeh effect stuff. If you really want to take good photos though you'll want to install one of Arnova's Gcam ports.
Performance wise the A70 feels faster when doing multiple tasks than my S8 did. The screens are impossible to tell apart PPI wise but the A70s larger screen is much nicer to use. And the A70 doesn't have that stupid Bixby button, which is a big win. The S8 will also not be getting Android Q, the A70 will.
Having used both for extended periods I am much happier with the A70 than the S8. I prefer the A70 more than my S9+ to be honest too.

Reasons to go a70
Better display
6.7 inch screen
Bigger Battery,4500mah with 25 watt quick charge
SD card Support
Always On Display
Triple Camera
Better Cameras 32+8+5
32 mp front camera
Not confirmed but probably newer in screen fingerprint tech
Headphone jack
Improved brightness
Fm radio
Lower SAR values(if it bothers u)
One UI has more features but still close to stock
Against A70
Snapdragon 675
No oxygen OS nearly stock
Frequency of updates
OnePlus community
To sum up,thre are definitely reasons to go with the A70 and I'm seriously considering swapping my 6T for one when it comes out here next week. Im not a gamer at all on Android so do I need the Snapdragon 845,not at all.I could use all the features on the a70 though but may well stay with my 6T regardless.

You make some good points and I agree with you. Regarding gaming I know you said you don't play them on the phone, but you shouldn't worry at all, A70 will play all the latest games no problem if you decide to play something. I tried some games on A50 and it had no problems running any, and A70 has even better specs!

Yes I believe this is true, the 675 is a great chip.I used a device with 660 and there was no problems whatsoever, Processors these days are typically great above the 660,
Still on the fence about the a70 though, have been looking at the reviews, many point out issues with the cameras, front and back
Would need these to be great if I'm gonna swap my 6T which has been performing a lot better with Gcam
After much research and scouring the internet for reviews and insight,
I have decided not to go with the a70,although it is a capable and attractive device with many features, there are some downsides that would be too annoying to live with,
Most notably the in display fingerprint sensor which looks like it's first generation tech
And the camera not quite fullfilling it's potential in terms of megapixel stated and lack of stabilisation,
It would not be worth me giving up my 6T for this device,
I will continue to try and find a decent mid range device with good if not excellent camera and features the a70 have,
It may take another year actually but certainly the mid range section is getting better all the time

You're making the right decision I've had a 6T and A70 and the 6T has a much better camera specially in low light which is the real weak point of the A70. Megapixels are just numbers and doesn't say anything about camera quality. The camera and fingerprint sensor are the two weakest points of this phone. I didn't like the fingerprint reader even in the 6T as I found it annoying but this one is even worse and I rely on face unlock and only use fingerprints for authorization in banking apps etc. However screen is better and battery life is much better.

Hi,
So far, I'd call that a really wise decision.
First, display is of course 6.7 inch... But with a 20:9 ratio, it looks tiny compared to the 6.9" of the mi Mix 3 I had before the A70.
Second, I seem to be allergic to AMOLED/SuperAMOLED technology. Display gets a really blue tint when tilted.
Third : battery life is real not on par with what I would expect from a 4500mAh battery.
Fourth : I am unable to use Super Fast Charging and I never had a device charging that slowly in the past 4 or 5 years...
Good I bought this device from Amazon and so can give it back within 30 days...
It is a disappointment, bercause on paper it had everything I am looking for.
Real life sometimes hits pretty hard
Regards.

Yea,seems to be a bit of a disappointment overall for this phone, glad I didn't go for it,shame because on paper it seems ideal
I'm getting great batterytime on mine.
But camera and fingerprint reader is not where it should be for the pricerange.
For example my Xiaomi MI 9 SE is cheaper and camera is way better, and fingerprint reader is also better, but like most in-screen readers it is still slow. But sure it lacks headphone jack and has shorter runtimes with its 3000mAh battery.
Overall the Mi 9 SE is a better phone for less money.

Hi,
Nice statement, but comparing a A70 and a mi9 SE is kind of pointless.
I don't think you can compare a 5.9" display phone with a 6.7" display phone.
Even if the rest is nearly identical.
Don't get me wrong.
I am a great Xiaomi fan.
If Xiaomi would have released a smartphone ABOVE 6.5" AND with a decent SoC, I would have gone for that immediatly.
But the only "phablet" in the Xiaomi range of products is the mi Max 3 (that I currently have) and that one does have a SD 636 and it has really horrible latency when you touch the display.
Regards.

Are you sure you have enabled fast charging in settings? Battery / Settings / Fast Charging With Cable.
Just a thought, mine charges from 10% to 100 % in about an hour and a half.
Do remember that 25w charging is only enabled when the screen is off or the AOD is activated. Whenever the screen is on, even on the lockscreen, it'll be limited to 6w.
It seems that this phone has a lot of issues and problems that are constantly being ignored or not cared about by Samsung.
Is this phone worth it, or am I better off selling it and buying an A50 which seems to have the attention of Samsung? Because The A50 has gotten so many updates compared to the A70 that is still on Security patch level: May.
I've had an A70 for about a month now and it's one of the best phones I've ever had. Battery averages at two days, screen is bright and always legible in bright sunlight, phone is fast and smooth. Fingerprint unlock used to be crap but updates have made it work ok. Face recognition is good. Camera is pretty good - again it's improving with updates.
I think it's the best phone for the price.
I'm really happy with mine but yeah the fingerprint reader isn't the best but it's still a great phone
Have not had any problem with this phone. To be honest, worth every Penny I paid for it.
At the moment I don't have one as my contract is due for an upgrade in October. But I as usual I have been doing research about this device and I must say the pro out weighs the cons by a mile. All the you tube reviews from unboxing to month on reviews are all positive. I am even overlooking the A80 as the A70 offers so much more for my money. Stick to your phone bud. You are in the teething phase now
I have been using a V30 and S8+ for the last year (1 was a personal device and the other as work phone). Performance on both phones was identical, with the key differences being the camera (better on the v30) and the ergonomics (v30 won this as well). Most recently I purchased the A70 and have been using it as my daily driver for the last 2 weeks or so. I have the A70 setup exactly the same way as both the V30/S8+. Same apps, settings, etc. I can say from a performance point of view, I have not missed the V30/S8+ at all. The A70 runs the same apps without any noticeable performance difference. I am not a huge gamer but there are a few that are always installed on my phones.. and they run the exact same on the A70, as they did on the S8+/V30. I haven't seen a difference in load times, or graphics and performance has been the same. Camera quality is pretty good. I thought Id miss the wide angle from the V30 but the A70 has it as well. Front camera on the A70 is much better than both the S8 and the nearly useless front cam on the v30. Battery life is fantastic. I get 2 days usage from the A70, whereas the S8+ gave me 1 day. Audio quality to my ears is the same. That is a lot considering the A70 runs on the SD675 and the V30/S8+ on the SD 835. The display is crisp and what you expect from a samoled. I would say yes, the phone is def worth it. Removable storage, huge battery, fantastic 1080p display, BT 5.0. and great performance. This phone has met all my expectations.. and I am glad I bought this rather than an s10+ which is more than double the cost of this phone.
Hello,
As Stillriza I used a S8+ (for 2 years). I now have the A70 since 1.5 months. The fingerprint unlock is good since last software update (when it is difficult I honestly have an explication such as finger is just coming out of water, long pressure on the finger...).

I haven't notice any slowdons on apps compared to S8+.

i owned the phone before, if you want my advice: forget samsung and go for xiaomi mi 9t (redmi k20) as i did, you will not regret it.
Yes i'm totally happy with my a70, not a perfect device but exceeded my expectations by miles
I will list cons only here:
1-white colour has a tint to it, but no problem may be the amoled nature or my calibration
2-prefer stock android, but one ui is so good
3-no twrp or easy root and custom roms yet, but i will wait
4-no stereo speakers, but the included speaker is loud enough
other than than all are pros not cons
I like it. it's not perfect but it has better native apps than most phones I've owned.
fingerprint sensor is nearly impossible to get to work
but the phone has a night mode for its settings. has a great onboard keyboard. it has its own app store, theme store.
File explorer is very usable. I'm off 3rd party apps for the most part.
The music app is super fast to load the artworks. Sees most artworks. takes 48 hours but indexed my 300GB music and loads entire list (all have artworks) in real time. Really imperfect but very fast, great music app by Samsung.
Then there is the RAM Memory optimizer under settings; device care; then memory button. On other phones I have had lately, this can take a long time. Have to go in apps in settings and do each one individually.
My phone gets 1 bar of signal strength less than my other phones but despite that I love this phone.
Fingerprint reader performance is livable. (A sweaty thumb on glossy glass is prone to cause difficulties with finger print reading, even on Iphones. So I can deal with it. - Try storing fingerprint data with a wet finger? Seems to have helped.)
The camera with the G-cam app is very good, and even so I still find myself using the Samsung camera app more often for its features and the polish of the app. - The panoramic shot is a full 360 degrees and better than my Iphone7. I like the hyperlapse and slowmotion. HOwever, this phone is definitely not a camera phone and won't take steady videos.
The native file explorer app and video player app are great.
The 20:9 aspect ratio is perfect for phones. You get so much usable real estate and yet a slimmer form factor that is much more practical for one handed use and for keeping in your pockets.
I love the ONE UI interface. I have it navigation bar set to invisble and I'm using gestures.
Compared to my previous phone it's thinner as well and feels great. It does not feel like a cheap phone at all. It feels solid and well produced.
I have the one in white. Paid $370 for it.
I got the samsung a70. I like the phone's 6.7 inch display. But the aspect ratio makes it a bit narrow. That's why I'm thinking about getting the huawei mate 20x which has a 7.2 inch screen. Do you think I should stay with this phone or buy the mate 20x?

Seems like the Mi9T doesn't have an SD slot?
I have my A70 for a good amount of time to speak about it.
I really like the device. It's fast, reliable and it was a surprise to me that it can hold two sim cards and a microSD card at first. I remember that I was astornished by it's beautiful, shiny back, but that's a personal prefference. I only found 3 problems with this phone that gladly doesn't bother me that much.
Starting with the back, it's really, REALLY easy to scratch it. Mine, even if it was in the case, have some scuffs on the back. It's plastic, not as much resistable as the glass is, but I was aware of that when I was buying it. Kinda shame.
Secondly, the bezels are very small and I have big hands so sometinmes I touch the screen when I don't want to or being aware of. A bigger case like one of those armor cases should fix my issue, but that adds to the size of the phone which, I am not sure if I want right now.
Lastly, the cursed fingerprint scanner. It doesn't work all the times, but the updates seems to give it a bit of speed and accuracy, failed attempts to read out the fingerprint significantly decreases.
Overall. I think the phone is worth the money but again, that's my perspective.

3 months since I bought this awesome phone. I have no regrets. Biggest pros are 2 sim + sd card simultaneously and the huge 4500 mah battery

Bigger screen, faster cpu, faster gpu....more expensive.
Yes its obviously an improvement in some areas - it's a different class of phone at a higher price point. The question is are those improvements important to you and is the addition cost justifiable. Since "better" is a subjective term, you would need to answer that one yourself.

I love the Samsung A70 phone's thinner aspect ratio because the extra length makes it a lot more practical as a phone and in most cases makes it as enjoyable to use for consuming media as a larger phone with 16:9 aspect ratio, and still fits in my pockets easy.
For my uses, which doesn't include a lot of video gaming, I don't ever want to use a 16:9 phone again.
Not to mention I only paid $370 USD for my A70.

Out of curiosity did you ever own or use the huawei mate 20x? Hope you would elaborate further on the a70 compared to the mate 20x if you did own the phone.
Huawei makes good phones but EMUI and locked bootloaders is a thing i can´t stand

But from what I read you can unlock and root the mate 20x. Unless I'm missing something.
Mate 20X but it costs double the price of the A70.
Excellent performance. Insane battery life. Excellent stereo speakers. Flagship build quality. Screen is wider and bigger but maybe less sharp than A70.
Mate 20X is a beast.
Alas, No Huawei for me as the problem with android updates and google play updates still not fully solved, then the bootloader is locked as i know and no custom development in kirin processors as snapdragon variants, narrow phone means easier to use and carry with one hand , a70 not a bad phone really the only things that pisses me off is i prefer stock vanilla android and only mono external speaker, but every thing else is near perfect

Is there really a big difference in display sharpness between the mate 20x and a70? They're both amoled and hdr. Do they look so similar that you can't tell the difference in sharpness?

Hey Mohamedselim. I'm kinda confused. You said there's a problem with android and google play updates? I don't get it. I thought emui gets updates. And I thought google play get updates too. Please explain.
You alao said the bootloader is locked. But I've seen on XDA where you can root the phone. Again please explain.
And which phone would you prefer?

Difference in sharpness must be noticeable. Mate 20X has a much bigger and wider 7.2 inch screen with a low pixel density of 346 only. While the A70 has a much smaller and narrower screen but a higher pixel density of 393.
This means A70 screen is definitely sharper. It's a very high quality super sharp AMOLED panel comparable to other Samsung flagships.
Meanwhile the Mate20X has an OLED panel not SAMOLED. Don't get me wrong, I have seen reviews on Youtube of the Mate20X and the screen looked very nice. It's not like we are talking about LCD vs AMOLED.
Mate20X is still the superior phone and multimedia beast.

Got to disagree with you on one issue. The info I researched is that the mate 20x is amoled not oled.
So you havent seen the a70 in person I assume.

So which phone do you prefer? The a70 or the mate 20x? And can you please give reasons for why... looking foward.

I prefer the Mate 20X hands down. Bigger and wider screen (A70 is too tall and narrow). better aspect ratio 18:9 (A70 has the ridiculous 20:9 which makes 90% of online videos appear with huge black bars on the sides). Better stereo speakers with loud and clean sound (A70 has a single mono speaker with just average loudness). Better premium build quality. Better performance with flagship chipset. Much better cameras. Amazing battery life I have seen 10 to 12 hours sot on reviews (A70 battery life didn't impress me at all) . Fingerprint sensor is blazing fast and super accurate (A70 fingerprint sucks).
That's all I can think of right now.
Amoled IS OLED, it's short for Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode. It's one of two types of OLED panel, the other being PMOLED (Passive Matrix OLED). All modern phone displays are AMOLED, although samsung like to bundle everything including the touch sensors in to to one layer and call it AMOLED. The underlying oled tech is the same however. Don't know if the mate 20x has a single layer panel. Doesnt make much difference tbh.

Hmm the A70 objectively isn't as sharp as the panels used on the S/Note series. It also doesnt support HDR or wide colour gamut (DCI-P3). I honestly don't think they are that far off though.
Battery life of the A70 certainly impresses me - I regularly get 7 hours plus OST. Doesnt mean that couldn't be improved upon of course but it's far from terrible. Much better than what I ever saw from my old S8.

Heres another site comparing the 2 phones that state the a70 has super amoled and the mate 20x has amoled. It also states that both phones are HDR:
http://phonesdata.com/en/compare/5742/5451/
The A70 doesnt support HDR10 or Dolby vision or anything like and doesnt have a HDR compatible screen. Netflix hides its HDR content, youtube doesnt give you the option to choose a HDR stream etc.
That website doesnt mention HDR at all under the screen section. Notice it mentions both HDR10 and the DCI-P3 wide colour gamut for the mate 20x but not the A70? That's because the A70 doesnt support them.
It totally depends on your taste of phone, I don't like to waste more than 250 euro on a phone since I break one once a year (because I'm clumsy when I'm drunk).
I bought my samsung a70 for 240 euro by my local carrier (without a loan or an subscription) if I look online for the mate 20x it cost around 900 euro which is way to much for a phone for me since I only use it for whatsapp, discord some browsing and watching a movie in the train.
You should check these marks if u want to buy that phone:
- Do i want to look cool with a 900 euro phone from huaweii or a cool samsung phone
- Do I want super deluxe photo's or decent photo's
- Do I want to watch super crisp netflix movies on my phone or do I want to watch movies just a little bit crisp and cropped to fit for full screen
- Do I want a bigger screen or do I want a phone that just fits in your pocket
- Do I want to pay 3 times the price for a phone or just a small price for a perfectly fine phone
I would recommend if u have the money the huawei mate 20x but if u don't just go with the samsung one and go to a movie or smthg with a nice girl with the money you spared

Are you blind? I posted a link posting that it does have hdr. Youre not looking in the right place.
Which is better besides camera and 120hz Display should I jump to get it
S10+ 5G
Do it!
Although stock is very low now on Ultra!
Ultra has the better camera easily. I'm switching from my note 10+ mainly for the camera and the upgraded refresh rate. I might miss my spen though
Ill be using the wqhd rather than 120 refresh rate

I looked at them side by side yesterday at ATT. I notice that Samsung has once again made the screen longer but narrower. So a regular image will be smaller with Larger black bars than on the Note. It’s also thicker. You can buy a note10+ on eBay or amazon for $800. The ultra after tax is close to double! Day to day I doubt one would feel the difference between the two. Even Samsung’s mid rage devices feel the same more or less. I reckon in day to day use the camera will be a little better in the ultra but only in certain situations.
I'm staying with note 10+ I like its wider screen and it's a beast
I do agree about making these screens bigger, but narrow....it blows. This trend needs to stop. It should have stopped and 18:9, we are at 20:9 now, it's dumb.
Except the super wonder device is better because it has a 100x spy cam that will draw alot of attention and probably force samsung to make it blurry or detect people or documents at 100x and slightly blur (via AI) sensitive info. I look for lawsuits eventually with people who will ruin it by looking into neighbors windows.

So, somehow a 100x zoom in a phone is bad, but a Nikon p1000 it even a camera with a short primary is okay? Try holding anything steady when zoomed in that much, it won't happen. And if you're not handheld there isn't going to be a difference in noticing a P1000 or a phone.
I have superzoom cameras and with 65X optical it's definitely interesting what you can do!
However, they aren't small enough to carry in a pocket. The common sense rule applies.
I live in the country, the zoom is great for counting points on a buck in the pasture. I'm no spring chicken, my old, tiring eyes thank easy to use zooms!
Looks ok
Hi. Hello. First post in the XDA.
Dissapointed Samsung Galaxy A70 user here.
I'm thinking about s21 FE
I've seen many questions and problems about this device.
The thing about Samsung is, idk.
I can buy s21 FE 256GB(Snapdragon) for like €517 ($567.17).
I'd like to know more from your experience and view about this device.
Pros, cons,. .....
Telephoto didn't suprised me at all. I don't know if it underperforms somehow in indoor places.
I'm just shooting my shot here to ask about, because I see phone as an investment, a tool to achieve goals.
Or if are any alternatives.
Doubts tho.
Slow charge, waiting for miracle from gcam.
I don't know if anyone ever replies on this, but any reply would be helpful
Thank you in advance

S21 fe Snap, last. I miss the freedom from my Xiaomi. But the s21 Fe is a good phone. The battery is good for normal playing (I've a Xbox). The brightness of mi note 10 better outside, but this one is good enough. Camera before was better, but this good too. And a customized MIUI version with magisk and bootloader unlocked don't voided my guaranty. Charging is slow...

So here's the thing. (Snapdragon version). The phone feels smooth. Smoother than the previous S20 FE, but not as smooth as S21 Ultra and the S10+. It's still 120hz capable but I'm talking more about the scrolling speed. It's like it's deliberately slower to feel non-flagship ). I have no idea why, it's hard to explain but if you have the chance to go into a store and test, you might understand what I mean.
As far as the telephoto goes, yes. it's absolute crap in indoor shots. It tends to be blurry and I have a LOT of autofocus errors with it. Even in broad daylight, I cannot get it to focus where I need it to. Pressing the touchscreen to focus is no help either because it's very slow and right when you thought it just found the focus, it jumps out and it's blurry again. Very hard to make it consistent compared to a P20 PRO for example. I don't know what they did but, in this regard the S20 FE had a smarter and faster focus. It's the same sensor but something is definitely wrong with the software. To this day I have changed 4 S21 FE's and the 3x autofocus problem was with all of them.
Video wise, it's great. A bit over-sharpened but if you don't care too much it's great. The S21 FE actually records in 30FPS compared to the previous S20 FE which recorded in variable fps and which also had a lot of skipped frames even with the 4.1 update.
Great brightness, even with direct sunlight.
Great weight, and size, great panel and colors, no issues with it.
GCam does not work properly on the S21 FE. It freezes on the main lens and right now there is no solution for this.
Transfer speed with the cable to the pc is so slow you could actually go to the grocery store while downloading a 4 GB file from it. This was very surprising to me as my previous S21 Ultra was blazing fast. It's a lot better using WIFI and Samsung Flow app.
As far as the charge goes, I don't know. I'm always using slow charge over night and find that the battery lasts me 7h with screen on time and 60 hz.
No SD card slot sucks. Also, you cannot use analog headphones even if you have a dongle. You need the special one from Samsung which has a built in DAC and from what I've heard it's noisy. I've actually bought a FIIO transmitter to use my analog headphones via bluetooth.
Some people complained about the signal, I didn't feel anything weird with it.
Selfie cam is a bit crappy. No autofocus, and oversharpened.
Recorded sound is very good, very clear. I was pleasantly surprised by this.
The thing is, I don't know of another great deal right now. Samsung's UI is the best I've seen. All the others are either chinese phones with poor software or very expensive apple products. In spite of all the cons mentioned... Samsung nailed it with the S21 FE.
I bought this phone (Snap) via samsung trade in programme and i got it for a great price. I was considering this and Pixel 6 but at the end i got this for half of the price.
I am really satisfied with photos and video (main lense)
Like it was stated previously the telephoto is so so and bad in low light.
Battery life could be better. I think you can get to 5-6h SOT on 60hz and a bit more with power saving but i feel it could be optimized more. I think they could automate refresh between apps. I know you can do it on your own through bixby routines, but it could be more seamless.
I have it now for 2 months and the experience of owning this phone was a joy, no problems whatsoever.

Yes because the cable you get out of the box is a USB 2.0 cable. I had a 3.0 cable and tested the transfer speeds and it was much faster transferring a 4gb file.
If you mean something else, elaborate.
I used the same 3A, USB C datacable that I used on the S21 Ultra and the difference is quite dramatic.
