Hello to all
I have a huifei 4.4.4 system and both the rear USB ports have stopped working. 5V on the ports is working OK. SD cards are working fine. Wifi and bluetooth is working fine. I tried to update mcu with newer version but no luck. I have been playing around with different music players and car service app. System was rooted at the time they stopped working. I have also tried factory reset but still not working. Not sure if I upset something while playing around. Hoping someone out there can help me re enable the ports. Thanks in advance for any help.
I'm experiencing an issue like that: Whenever I'm listening to mp3 files via USB it stops playing after some time. At that point I am not able to browse the USB stick - it simply stuck. Only a device restart helps at that point.
But playing mp3 via sd card works fine!
Thats what I'm doing. SD card works fine for me. My usb's are completely dead. Nothing is detected when I plug in.

Mine front one too (back ones I didnt tested yet).
Is there many of us with USB problems? Any fix? I was searching HW thread but didn't found much there.
There is just some hint on enabling "adb debugging" ("adbon" password in Factory Settings or option in Debugging Options on rooted ROMs) but that didn't worked for me.
Mine isn't completely broken. It only stucks at some point - after booting, both back USB ports are working fine...
I've tried that. Still not working. You think if i use different rom it might reset something snd get it working again? You running standard rom or have you updated?

It standard rooted... But as I mentioned: its not fully working on my unit, too.
I had a problem where the WiFi would shutoff and couldn't be turned on until a reset. Ended up being the USB power due to a bug in the MCU software. If you haven't already tried the MCU update, it might be worth a shot.
I had that too where i couldn't turn the wifi on. For some reason the wifi is working again. I checked 5v supply on usb port. Supply seems ok.

I Am alose facing same issue.... tried 8 GB flash drive in FAT32 and NTFS and ExFAt.. none of them working... Any idea ?
Same here, I had a problem with android auto, the Dasaita vendor sent me this message:
Here the latest link with system and updatesX6 android 10 （1113） https://drive.google.com/file/d/1rO-wBK8rvVZsXT_5IjN3MyuMY00utZZX/view?usp=sharing Please download, then ONLY put the update.zip file to the USB (format the USB firstly). Finally, click the setting > system > system updates to update it. Here the latest link with MCU and updates 3.67 MCU https://drive.google.com/file/d/1VHmt2nffbQdc2iHiy_Pl3rNwLXN4cVea/view?usp=sharing Please download then ONLY put IMG file to the USB (format the USB firstly). Finally, click the setting > system > MCU update to update it. Hope the update can help you fix the issue. How to update the system:
(If you can't download the file, please change the Explorer or computer to do it. If it ask you for the Credit card id, just create the sendspace account then you can download it, No need to write your Credit card id information! )

My USB ports only charge on my Px6 and no updates seem to fix it. I don’t have usb debugging options either. Not sure what to do to fix. Any suggestions?

Perhaps posting in correct forum might yeild responses. The last few posts none of the units are MTCB.

Far out. Posting in wrong forum.
Since marshwallow update i can't connect with my lg g4 to windows pc. It's not the usb cable, or my pc, i've tryed with another phone and it works just fine. Any sugestion or should i return my phone to waranty?:crying:

Hello,
Since update on windows 10 and MM i've got some trouble too. You have to install lg usb driver from the lg phone and tell windows to stop auto install mtp drivers. Windows is always trying to install an old driver over the lg one and that's the problem.
You can also try to switch from regular usb to usb debigging in dev options several times.
nope, it still doesn't work. when i plug my old samsung galaxy s2 it just works like a charm. also i reinstaled usb driver with no fix. i'm not sure if it's hardware fault or software fault

Mine was the same. And when you swipe down notification for usb connexion cant you choose mtp ?
Try to uninstall the samsung USB driver or the drive which is affected yo your g4.

it doesn't appear option to select MTP . also i've tryied to connect a usb flash disk and it doesn't read it via OTG cable. I think it's a hardware fault

Looks like I have the same problem. Started off with Android Auto not detecting it, but it looks like the PC can't either, nor does it pick up an external USB DAC via the OTG cable :/
Did you have any success at all? Sounds like a hardware failure though :/

After upgrade to marshmallow the usb otg feature no longer works. I have tried debugging and choosing ptp, mtp, charging, all to no avail. It simply no longer recognizing anything other than the power cord plugged in. I've tried the built in file manager and es file. Can I fix this?
Also I have a thumb keyboard installed and working. But on reboot the keyboard resets to Samsung default every time??

i had no problem using otg. try to factory reset. usually with every big update some old files that left from previous version will give problems to device. and for the thumb keyboard try to look at the application permission. the app kind of being abandon. last update on 2014. so it might have problem with MM.

Hello,my tab sm t705 not detecting usb otg cable,and usb drive when connecting to pc,its only showing charging but no prompt for mtp like it usually did,how to solved?
this happen after my otg drive often auto connect/disconnect a few times, thinking the cable broken,already buy a new one but still not detect.
My usb debugging is already tick,mtp+adb is already tick.
Tried factory reset but still not detect.
Already try googling but no result
Is this software or hardware problem?
BTw im using iron man rom & kernel.

Check your win drivers in device manager. Ensure the Mtp driver is active.
Already check.not pc problem.and already installed samsung usb driver

Fair do's but does it detect the device in device manager as an MTP device when connected?
Nothing detected on my pc except for mouse usb.no connection sound,nothing happen when the usb plug in,except my phone showing charging

Have you tried just a normal USB cable to see if mtp works?

But i have try connecting other phone.and its work perfectly fine.its detect as portable media..dont know what the problem with my tab.also i have try ant+ tester app.and its showing ant support built in firmware no service?is it normal?can anyone who have t705 try it?

For MTP you just need a normal USB cable not OTG.

Ok understand wht u mean now,already done doing that.that wht i want to tell,showing nothing detect on my laptop eventough usb cable is already plug in.already check on device manager>root hub properties.and check what usb is connecting and only show the mouse usb.phone cable not detect on any usb root hub.
Solved
After a few days thinking of solution then i try to go download mode and plug the usb cable to pc and voila.usb updte installer pop up means its detecting now.and i cncel the updte and go to normal mode and its also detecting.mayb some software failure that its happen.btw i just uninstalled and installed new driver and let it updte after it detect the usb.problem solved.nearly changing new micro usb port?

Sorry bro.this post been too long.but from i remmember i donwload some app for pc.and enter my phone to download mode.maybe the app is official for samsung download mode.

I've got a SM-T813 and I ve got a problem with my usb port. I can neither connect to my PC or my usb-Rj45 since i installed TWRP and LineageOs.
I cannot select what to do when usb connection is detected.
I don't kown what's wrong. I changed the cable, re-install TWRP but i does not work.
Odin is not detected to.
Someone to help me please?

Your problem seems simular to what I had.
If you are sure the software settings are ok and that doesnt work, remove the backcover remove the battery connector, put it back again and see if that works. Does charging work?

Thats weird my s2 tablet has USb problems to. It stopped reading OTG usb connections and the PC. However it is always able to charge. I have noticed that when it does finally read on the PC it seems like the drives dont switch right and my battery wont charge. It got to the point I dont even try to plug it into a pc or USB otg just incase it quits charging I have SD card and twrp for installs so I use that instead. Most be a problem with the usb port and drivers.

I dont know the answer nor the solution.
What I noticed however is that I used my tablet as an monitor for an USB web cam.
The problem (charging but not being able to connect to PC) started AFTER I removed the webcam.
The app I use (USB Camera Pro) has an option "remove camera safely"
If I use that option everything works fine but if I remove the cam cable without pressing this option I cant connect to my PC anymore and have to unplug the battery.
I am having a similar issue and would be grateful for help. My Tab T815 has a clean install of the latest Android 10 Rom and Pico Gapps via TWRP 3.4. All seem to be working great apart from the USB OTG. Specifically, I am trying to connect my DJI Mini drone controller and it's not registering it plugged in. I also have Android 10 on a galaxy S5 and have no issues at all when I connect the DJI controller to the phone. I have run a diagnostic app that says OTG is compatible with the T815 so am now at a loss on what to try next. Could this be an issue with the Rom?
