The audio stops playing when I turn on the Quad Dac. - LG G7 ThinQ Questions & Answers

Was hoping the Pie update would resolve the issue, but its still the same post update. I've used HiFi Status and Dac Fix, which show HiFi output when earphones are connected even without the Quad DAC turn on in the settings. However, every time I put it on, the audio is muted.
Any fixes or suggestions? This glitch apart, love the phone...

Hey, you found any solution ?

Audio Output control by OS

I experienced a strange result: My Universal somehow started playing audio throug the speakers when the headphones were plugged in. I Guessed it was the harware plug that had failed but decided to test the software by doing a full restore to be sure and now its fine again.
Conclusion: there must be a way of contralling the audio output from within the OS. Does anyone know anything about this as it would make a good funtion to turn off the speakers while using the headphones.

No audio... help!

So this morning, after my usual flashing of the latest Cyanogen nightly, I noticed that my Inc was no longer putting out any audio. Without thinking twice I recovered the previous nightly, but I'm still getting no sound from notifications/ringtones, music or alarms. Thanks in advice for any suggestions.

Update: I plugged my phone into my stereo and am getting audio again, but still not from the phone itself when I unplug it again. This leads me to believe it to be a hardware issue, which is probably not an easy fix. Should I start looking for a new phone? I use it as my alarm and I need to hear my ringtones because I don't always feel it on vibrate so it's not very useful to me now...
I'm seeing a similar behavior. I have audio until I use a BT headset. Once one has been used, I lose all audio from the phone speaker (even after the BT headset is disconnected). I'll have to try a wired headset to see if the audio is redirected. Only a reboot will restore my audio from the phone speaker. If the headset supports A2DP, I lose all audio even through the BT headset.
Does a reboot fix your audio?
Reboot does not fix my audio. I figured out that it is a problem with the speaker itself, which is very easily replaced http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=799592
My audio works fine when plugged into my stereo or headphones, but is intermittent from the speaker. Apparently Incredibles are known to blow speakers?

Bluetooth audio very low, possible interference with other BT devices?

See title. Also experiencing audio skipping when connected to my car. I believe it may have to do with connecting/disconnecting to Wi-Fi, as it eventually gets better after awhile.
I have a pair of powerbeats 2 that worked fine when I first got my 5t two weeks ago. Now I have to go to Bluetooth settings to turn them on and can't control any of the buttons like volume and skipping tracks. Seems like none of the controls for the earbuds work. The main concern is how low the audio is. I have to have the volume set to max in order to hear anything.
I did try switching Bluetooth settings from sdc to aptx or whatever. Tried resetting data/cache in bluetooth settings. No luck.
I'm sort of convinced there's some interference with my Fitbit, as I just started using this device recently. I really hope this isn't the case. I've also tested the headphones on other phones and the sound quality is fine.
Any ideas on how to fix this?

Bluetooth CRACKING/POPPING noises!

Hello everyone.
Since 2 months I know have this "strange" phenomenon that when I connect my Realme 6 Pro to my Bluetooth sound device of my choice, for the first few times connecting there are only popping/cracking noise sounds coming out. No music or anything relatable. After connecting around 5-10 times, it finally will play music (also it suddenly goes back to the cracking state when clicking around in youtube).
Bonus: most of the time (even if connected right and playing music) the microphone wont work in calls.
I cant fix this sh*t and it really bothers me a lot lately.
Hopefully someone can help, or else I´m going to throw this phone into the trash can... xD
Greetings.
My BT works fine for the most part, but sometimes it breaks up. I am really hoping it's just a software issue
Me too, for about 2 or 3 months now. Wasn't a problem before. Thinking I'll try factory reset soon, see if that fixes it.
Hey! I also have this problem and what i found is, if your Bluetooth audio support Aptx codec, it will enable option "Use High Quality Audio" in your audio bluetooth settings. Try to disable (it will use SBC Codec) and my problem disappear.
But, it really annoying. I already try my bluetooth audio with another phone and it worked fine with Aptx, so i know my bluetooth audio is not my problem. My workaround so far are disable high quality audio, then enable Aptx manually in developer options with AVCRP 1.6
Not sure if my device actually using SBC codec or Aptx after change it manually on developer options
Hi All! I solved problems with Bluetooth by switch off Dolby Atmos!

HiFi Quad DAC problems

I recently bought an unlocked T-mobile Lg8 and updated OTA to Android 11.
My problem is that whenever I plug in any headphones and activate the HiFi mode, the Quad Dac settings menu start flashing and flickering, and I get no sound. Also, the battery, signal and wifi icons at the top-right of the screen start flashing or flickering intermittently.
The HiFi Dac settings can be on as long as I don't plug any headphones. If I plug in any headphones I start getting the flickering. If I lock and unlock the screen, the flickering is gone, but if I open any app that plays sounds I start getting the flickering again with no sound. If I turn off the HiFi option the problem is gone (but I lose HiFi). This problem persists in apps that handle the HiFi Dac such as UAPP.
The DTS 3D option doesn't give me any problem.
I bought this phone specifically for its Quad DAC, so this is very frustrating. Do you think it could be related to Android 11? Has anyone else experienced something similar?
Thanks for any ideas.
