Hi guys, i hope someone can help me. I was trying to install LineageOS 16 on my Moto Z2 Force and after i use the command "adb reboot sideload" to install gapps my phone dont power on, didnt ever get to install gapps.
I was folling the Lineage wiki guide: https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/nash/install
Tried to hold power and vol +, power and vol -, just power, for 20~40s and nothing.
I never installed twrp, just did the fastboot command, and i had only installed the Lineage image.
Did i hard bricked it?

Hello everyone.
I am trying to get into the bootloader, so i will be able to use fastboot commands.
Prior to post here i made a thread in the [HELP THREAD] but unfortunately since the person that tried to help me did not had this device, he couldn't help me, thus i'm posting here
So, first i tried to get into the bootloader by pressing the physical keys:
if power button and both volume keys are pressed i get into Android System Recovery(3e).
if power button and volume down key are pressed i get into meta mode.
if power button and volume up key are pressed i get into factory mode, which is entirly in chinese.
in all 3 occations, fastboot devices command did not reply anything....
Now the device is recognized by adb (i made the udev rule for it), all commands are working as should except one.
all except one: "adb reboot-bootloader" or "adb reboot bootloader" or "adb reboot fastboot" do not do anything. they just reboot the device into android os.
even "adb reboot recovery" works correctly...
Lenovo S820 is a new device. it was released in 2013, is it possible that it doesn't have proper fastboot mode??? or is it possible that it needs to be unblocked in some way???
What should i do?
P.S.
Android system recovery <3e> options are:
reboot system now
apply update from ADB
apply update from sdcard
apply update from sdcard2
apply update from cache
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
in Meta mode just get this: Have been in meta mode, long press the power button and the normal boot.
factory mode (which is completely in chinese) has 8 options.
-EDIT-
I am 100% sure that i found the translations of the 8 options of the factory mode:
Manual Test
Auto Test
Item Test
Test Report
Debug Test
Clear eMMC
Version
Reboot
Any help at all???
What did i do wrong? why no one is replying?
Does the need for the same device is so great???
Isn't it a bit of generic question at all???
I don't need a -like- guide how to do it, i just need some infos, tips and guidance.
I am new to android os, i don't even know what to search/look for, so i can start solving this issue...

My s820 is not broken. it's working like a charm.
my problem is that i can't get into the bootloader.
Is there a chance that the bootloader is blocked?
I also, honestly, do not understand why no-one is replying, i am not asking for a how-to guide, just for some tips/infos so i can start investigating how to get into the bootloader....
i know hoow to unlock bootloader in lenovo s820

Go into settings, then developer options. Here you may find 'Advance Restart' option. Activate it. Then long press the power button and choose restart. Now you will find the option 'Recovery'. Now your phone will reboot in recovery mode. Hope this works.

Hold it for 10 seconds.
You may have a first time with black screen, do it again and release power when you see the Lenovo logo.

Try going to fastboot mode : press vol - and power until you boot to Lenovo logo but with indication to reboot at the bottom.
There you will be able to flash a recovery and boot into it via fastboot command via your PC.

I flashed havoc os 3.0 in twrp, but when i tried going back to the recovery, it went straight to fastboot. Can someone help me out with this. I cannot do a factory rest on my phone.
@luenboy Sounds like maybe you didn't have twrp installed to begin with properly.. I use orange fox recovery on my chiron because of all the things I've seen posted about twrp for this device. If you go here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi...rp-orangefox-recovery-project-t3835139/page15
the last page is orange fox R11 recovery. That's what I've always used and its great.
Try holding your power button down and also hold volume + up and keep holding those down. You should reboot to recovery once you hold volume up+ power button long enough.
Here's some info on installing recovery below... You can also boot to fastboot mode manually and from your PC wipe whatever you need to that way. If you have another android device that's rooted you can download adb magisk module by osmosis and surge and you can use termux app just like a PC terminal with fastboot and adb and do everything a computer does with another android device. I've been doing that for years.
: Install the TWRP Recovery
1. Your bootloader must be unlocked
2. Enter fastboot mode by holding together "Volume Down + Power"
3. Download "twrp-3.2.1-0-chiron.img" from here:
Hi, I recently tried to install twrp on my xiaomi. Everything works fine until I get to the part where you have to reboot into recovery directly from fastboot. Power on/off+volume up doesn't seem to work for me. The only way I can access recovery is by adb reboot recovery. Without the combo working, I can't boot in twrp. Any advice?

Simple!
When u are in fastboot u have to press ONLY power button then when the screen reboot stop push power button and keep pressing ONLY vol+ till u see twrp screen for 2 time!!!
But If u boot into system for wrong u have to ROOT again.
